jleamont Report post Posted January 9, 2017 I figured I would awake this Lifestyle section. Its been quiet for too long. Sandusky, Ohio https://www.cedarpoint.com/places-to-stay/lighthouse-point Richmond, VA https://www.kingsdominion.com/places-to-stay/campsites Hershey, PA http://www.hersheyparkcampingresort.com/ Lancaster, PA http://www.oldmillstreamcampground.com/ Kissimmee, FL https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/campsites-at-fort-wilderness-resort/?CMP=OKC-wdw_gmap_14 Elysburg, PA. This campground is rough. Only 30 amp no water no sewer and the sites are anything but level. The park is like walking back in time and is a nice place to visit. http://www.knoebels.com/stay/stay-at-knoebels With that being the case for above, I recommend staying here, 1 mile down the road; http://www.jdcampground.com/ Any others in the USA, please post them! Its the time of year for families to begin planning the 2017 camping season, maybe this will present some ideas. If you have any other great family RV idea, please start a new topic and lets get the information out there.

hermanmullins Report post Posted January 10, 2017 Bill, Check out Admiralty RV Resort on RV Park Reviews. Unless they have been purchased in the last few years, they are one of the worst parks we have ever stayed in. We held a Rally there and the manager came into our meeting room, verbally attacked one of our members and banned him from the park for going the wrong way on an interior road in his car. The condition of the grounds were poor. It was evident that the park may have been a nice park in the past but it had really gone to pot. See you in Chandler. hermanmullins Report post Posted January 10, 2017 I have to apologize for my above remarks. I went to RV Park Reviews and it now must be under new ownership. All of the reviews in 2016 were for the most part, good. However if you keep going in the reviews to 2012 you will find what I was talking about. As Bill said it is close to Sea World and one of the largest H.E.B. I have been in. Again, I hope that it has improved. Herman
wildebill308 Report post Posted January 10, 2017 I think we were there in 2014. Didn't have any problem. Like all places the next guy in may have problems. Can't wait till Chandler. Bill

fagnaml Report post Posted June 6, 2017 If you're ever in south Louisiana, the Cajun Palms RV Resort near Henderson, La with its waterpark, beach volleyball and arcades is a great place for kids / grandkids. Close by activities includes Atchafalaya Swamp boat tours (air boats are great fun with kids!), Acadian Village and Zoo of Acadiana in Lafayette. In Baton Rouge is the Blue Bayou Water Park / Dixie Landin' Amusement Park Complex. For older kids (middle school +), historic plantation tours may be of interest. These are but a few of many kids activities that are within a 30 minute drive from the Cajun Palms RV Resort. And of course great Cajun dining is available most anywhere. Here are some web links for more info: Cajun Palms RV Resort --> http://www.cajunpalms.com/ Kids Activities in Baton Rouge & Lafayette --> https://www.familydaysout.com/kids-things-to-do-usa/baton-rouge/la Laissez les bons temps rouler !! I know this is an old thread, but we just started looking at this for a trip next year. Also, its not in or next to the park, but if ever visiting Universial Studios in orlando, I'd suggest staying at Bill Fredricks park. its less than 10 minutes away by car, Uber is about $20.00 one way, $25.00/night for full hookups and a gated park as well. really quiet and lots of hiking trails, and even a petting zoo! Silverwood is great. Took the then 14 and 11 year grandson a few years ago and they had a blast. Since the weather didn't really heat up till the day we were to depart we stayed another day for the water park. We had plans for this year with the 10 and 7 year granddaughters but had to cancel.
