elibedarn Report post Posted December 12, 2018 2001 Ford F-53 determined to have a faulty ABS Control Module. Ford Part # 4C3Z-2C219-CARM is obsolete. I have exhausted the internet search for aftermarket replacement. Anyone used an electronic shop for repairing this unit?
dickandlois Report post Posted December 12, 2018 Hank,There is one possibly in Wisconsin. Used. Looking into your issue. It appears that Ford could have used the same Module from 01 to 04. Try This Link. http://www.autoguide.net/apf/ford-usedpart/f53_stripped_chassis-catalog.html The other option is a renamed unit ? http://www.partsonnet.com/?uProc=absc https://modulemaster.com/rebuilds/shop/brakes/abs-modules/abs-kh-ford/ About Us From its humble beginnings in 2004 operating out of his parent’s tiny pump house, Gavin Curtis grew ModuleMaster into a leading-edge technology company specializing in the repair of automotive electronics. obedb Report post Posted December 12, 2018 Have no idea how to find a replacement unit that "really is not that old," but can the RV be driven and properly braked with the old fashioned foot and driver skill? How did we live without ABS? Just throwing this out there in case you can't find one.
obedb Report post Posted December 12, 2018 By the way, have you tried NAPA? They are often expensive , but sometimes amazing matching a part.
elibedarn Report post Posted December 12, 2018 Thank you for responding. Yes tried, Napa. Could not find any web suppliers that carried this unit. One site however, drops the F-53 showing it as a 550 Super Duty. Wondering if the parts are interchangeable. I also tried this web site, https://circuitboardmedics.com/kelsey-hayes-325-abs-module-repair-c0265-ebcm/ Right about driving without ABS. I grew up that way. I prefer the ABS system be in working order.
jleamont Report post Posted December 13, 2018 There was an oil company in Texas that bought up obsolete ford parts. Cannot remember the name but I have bought a few parts from them in the past. If I find it I’ll hop back on

Unfortunately Module master does not rebuild my unit which they determined to be a Kelsey-Hayes 310 model.
rayin Report post Posted December 19, 2018 RV salvage and surplus yards may be an option.Colaws advertises they are the largest in the U.S.A. Then again; this Kelsey-Hayes 310 model says it fits GM models.https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kelsey-Hayes-310-ABS-Module-96-2002-Chevy-Blazer-S10-GMC-Sonoma-Jimmy/202540022600?hash=item2f28537b48:g:WnkAAOSwGqxbG~G2:rk:1:pf:0&vxp=mtr Some sources say the K-H 310 w/same casting# is the same regardless of the vehicle it came from, and it is not re-build-able. wolfe10 Report post Posted December 20, 2018 Have you verified with a Ford dealer what other vehicles this PN was used in? Very possible it was used in Ford HD PU's or medium duty trucks. LOTS more of them in wrecking yards than RV's.
dickandlois Report post Posted December 20, 2018 Good point Brett! Found out it was used on the F-53 chassis from 01 to 04. Talked to a Ford tech and mentioned software comparability. Not sure How many changes would have been made and it should be possible to mount some of them differently - rewire a matching connector and connect to the original harness. Have not found out Who supplied the OEM chassis harness ???? Rich.

Rich. Ford parts counter cannot provide additional abs control modules numbers. They did say the last two letters may be removed. Those letters are a manufactures stamping thus, 4C3Z-2C219-CA. i belief one is located in New Jersey. Removed from an E-Super Duty with part number 4C3Z-2C219-CAR. I will know following this holiday break.
