Get the part number for the tires from the dealer and call the FMCA office to get the program price. ccutaia1 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 So far I have priced Michelin tires for my SUV & Southwind RV and both times FMCA has gotten blown out. For the RV Michelin 235/80/22.5 FMCA's price was $555.00 for just the tires, I have out the door pricing (mounting, & balancing) for $545.00. My SUV 235/60/18 FMCA's price for just tires was $197.00, I paid out the door $197 ea plus was eligible for the $70.00 rebate. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

aztec7fan Report post Posted March 25, 2017 Just used the Advantage Program to purchase 6 tires for my old Southwind. Saved about $76.00/tire. Thanks FMCA! A bit of advice. Even if the dealer says they deal with motorhomes all the time, and they say they will give you the "freshest" tires they have, be sure to check the date codes on the sidewalls, either before mounting, or before you drive away. With my purchase, I got the coach home, only to find one tire was manufactured in 2008, and two in 2013! Luckily I needed to bring it back to get an alignment, and the dealer was willing to swap the older tires for ones manufactured in 2016. Chris G. And, if the salesman looks at you like a deer caught in the headlights, talk directly with their warehouse manager. If he looks like a deer caught in the headlights, RUN! I want to replace my rear 6 tires. I want to know pricing, balancing, shipping (if any) and installation costs. On the main page in the upper left part of the page they have a slideshow of different programs/benefits. You can use the arrows to cycle through the ads faster. The installing dealer will give you their per tire cost for mount, balance, valve stems and disposal. manholt Report post Posted March 19, 2018 dtl9900. Welcome to the Forum! The way it works, is that you find the Truck Tire Michelin dealer in your area. Explain that your a FMCA member and what size tire/tires you need...get the earliest DOT number possible. Then call FMCA and let them know who the dealer is. hermanmullins Report post Posted March 20, 2018 Carl, When I looked into the program it took several steps to get to purchasing tires. If I remember correctly your can go to Michelin from the FMCA program and it will list the dealers that participate in the program, not all do. Then you can go to Michelin, set up your account and so on. The big thing is that you have to be able to get to the FMCA Michelin Program person. When I went to Superior Tire in Eugene, they had a booth at the rally, they did all the steps for me, all I had to do, was to supply my F# and hand over my CC...Painless! Passenger car tires should not have this and if it's included with every quote how are we or the dealer supposed to know how much they are supposed to charge or pay for a tire? KE4RZ1 Report post Posted November 8, 2018 I went to my nearby dealer today to get these tires ordered since they were not in stock and the dealer, which Michelin had referred me to, said they didn't know anything about the FMCA or the Michelin Advantage Program. KE4RZ1 Report post Posted November 8, 2018 Well, the dealer did call me back and since they were not making any money on the tires they are jacking up their mounting and balancing to $146 to mount and balance 4 car tires.That just about negates the savings that I was going to get by ordering the tires through the FMCA advantage plan. SHeesh ! Their normal charge for tires that you purchase from this dealer is only $14 for balancing and they don't charge for mounting. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

F462390 Report post Posted November 14, 2018 Just called Michelin tire co. After getting transferred 4 times, I wound up with a person I could not understand. As I explained this to him a few times, he spoke much slower and it made more sense. I told him the size tire I was looking for [225 -55-R17], and he said the program is for RV tires? I explained to him that the book I am reading says RV and passenger tires. He then told me the price was $ 224 each. I can buy the identical tire at Pep Boys for $159? How is this a good program? zeboray Report post Posted December 14, 2018 I just used this program for new 12 / 22.5 XZE's and the pricing was AMAZING!!! Had them installed at Snyder Fleet Service in Ocala and if you are anywhere near them go nowhere else. They started right at my appointment time and did a very professional job. I am so thankful for this - among other - benefits FMCA provides. Just remember to register your credit card with Michelin prior to going to the shop.
