0 wigginsjsr Report post Posted December 22, 2014 We stayed at Pine Mountain RV Park in August. Good sites, and close to the trolley line.

0 HarveyWhite Report post Posted December 23, 2014 Sounds good I'll check in on those. @Bill we are planning on going right after Christmas. I think they shut down right after the first.
0 wildebill308 Report post Posted December 23, 2014 I would call and make sure the places you are interested in will be open. Many shut down for the winter. Summer before last I stayed at Smoky Bear Campground, 4857 East Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN 37738 (865) 436-8372. Lots of places closer to Pigeon Forge. But this was a nice place with large level concrete spots. We were more interested in the park than the Forge. Bill
0 nctox Report post Posted December 23, 2014 We attended a rally here: http://rvcoutdoors.com/river-plantation/ and found it to be quite nice. It's only a few minutes from Pigeon Forge.
0 ljcourt Report post Posted December 23, 2014 We went to Pigeon forge and there are a lot of restaurants with great ribs. The only think we found out is this is a dry county, however a short drive you are able to buy beverages.
0 HarveyWhite Report post Posted December 23, 2014 You'll are right they almost roll up the streetsthere in the winter. The wife has her heart set on the Christmas show at Dolly Wood-- it runs until Jan 3. We will need to go back in the fall next year to see all the leaves change and enjoy some more that's not closed yet. Found a place called CreekSide RV Park close to Dollywood and think we will reside there this trip and spend some time looking the place over. Can't wait to head the coach east. 0 kaypsmith Report post Posted December 24, 2014 Not quite as dry a county as it used to be. They have legalized sale of alcohol products which are made locally. Gatlinburg has the moonshine still on premises, with sampling going on and sales on site. Pigeonforge has new sales store right by the new ferris wheel. Both cities have local wineries also. I was there for a week, two weeks ago. Hope you enjoy the stay, and Merry Christmas to all.

0 jleamont Report post Posted March 3, 2015 We went last summer, stayed at Pine Mountain RV park in Pigeon Forge TN. Nice place, clean, paved well groomed. We never use them but the bath house looked like a Ritz Carlton hotel bathroom, we were very impressed.Next time we are planning Anchor down RV resort, that looks very nice.Have a safe trip
