Last year that happened to me on my 08 Tuscany. Really quite scary. I called MCD they sent me new updated design brackets free of charge. I think it wasn't installed right the beginning as it would bounce around quite a bit. With the new brackets its solid as a rock. Now a happy camper. Ron

Thanks, Herman I'm looking forward to it. Ron -
Hi all, Looking for advice about US Hwy 412 from Springdale, Ark. to Hwy 65. Is it a good route for a 40' Motorhome? Or should I stay on Hwy 69 to Interstate 44 to Springfield then down on 65? Thanks for the advice, Ron

I Just got it. only used it in my car so far. Its sure different from the Garmin guys. I think the learning curve is a little steep. I wouldn't use it in a car/pickup as its quite large. It should be good in the motor home. BUT I think once I get it all figured out it will be nice. It was easier then the Garmin to load poi's into it. I'll need more time to see if I will keep it or not. Ron

Yea, with a new one.

I was thinking more in the line of the antenna attached to your Motor Home. Ron

Thanks Brett, I think I'm going to order it now. I wonder if one could as easily install it onto the Wingman annenna on top of the coach. That way it would be high up and would lay down when on the road. Then run the wires into the coach through the roof with the rubber radio anntenna, into the cabinet above the windshield for a wireless router. Havea good day, Ron

Brett, Are you still using this setup? Have you or would you make any changes? Thinking of getting one. Ron

This thread makes me wonder if any of the new Lincoln's ever have this problem. Anyone know? Thanks, Ron -

The "mark community read" at the bottom started working as it should. After I installed Flash. The at the top right shows "go to first unread" only. Ron

Then I guess it's gotta be me (new apple iMac) and not familiar with it. Ron -

I am wondering about all the heat that the res. refer creates and sends it into the coach. Doesn't it make it hot in the coach? Ron

We want to got to Iowa this summer/fall. I have a 40 foot motorhome . There doesn't seem to be many/any campgrounds that I'd fit in. Would like to go around the Ft Dodge/Webster city area and up to the Mn. border areas. Along I-35. and then west. Any recommendations? Thanks, Ron
-
Yup. I had mine done and it lasted about 3 weeks then died, same as yours. They (the service techs) ordered a new one and replaced it at no cost to me. That’s been about a month and a half now-- seems to have fixed it this time. Good luck, Ron

Now that, I really like. Ron

Motorhome Reviews in Family Motor Coaching magazine

I looked at that and found it pretty dated. As far back to 2000. And not much on newer coaches. Ron -

Wayne, Thanks for your thought. The unit ran fine for 13 days the quit. II was in Tucson when I was able to get a tech to come to me. He diagnoses was the the "new" thermocoupler that was installed was defective. Called Norcold they agreed but said they were on back-order till later this year. Well the Tech had mercy on me as I couldn't wait in Tucson til then and I had to move on, He unwired the device and the refer works. We are now in San Diego and fixin' to leave for LA in a couple of days. Problem is, we can't be assured of when the part could arrive anywhere. So don't want anyone to order it til we're sure of its status to arrive anywhere. Will probably wait til we get home. Just don't use the refer on propane. Ron

I just had the recall done Nov 12, 2010. I left on a trip on the 15th. Now, today, the 25th, the refer stopped with code "L1 oP". The Operators manual says no user fix take it to a tech.. So I assume that I'm screwed. I sure hope Camping World will have the parts to get me up and running again. and under warranty. this unit is only 2 years old. Don, It was in my post. see above. Ron
