  1. Changed the oil and filter on my Onan Mobile Genset HGJAB (MARQUIS) , 6500 kw (333 hours) high pressure propane fueled. Ran like a bandit one hour before oil change, now the darn thing wont start at all? Two thirds tank of LPN. To change oil I opened the access panel, opened the LPG oil drain ****, opened the engine oil **** drained oil. CLOSED both petcocks. Removed and replaced the oil filter with new one. Filled the filter core with oil before installing, refilled with 15W-40 DELO and checked the oil level. Oil level 1/3 up the stick from add. Not overfilled, not underfilled. Tried to crank it up, turns over fast, but non hits or misfires, just would not start, smelled fuel, no ignition?, no fuel? What did I do wrong??? HELP, HELP, HELP!!
  2. There is no commercial diesel engine company, Cummins, Detroit, Cat, Max Force, that recommends useing a 5W-40 SAE oil in temperate north America. You are playing a dangerous game. Synthetic or not. Also even at like viscosity a synthetic oil is thinner than it's counterpart regular oil. This particularly shows up when a hot high milage engine is idleing, with synthetic at idle the oil pressure might drop to 5 PSI lower than recommended, with regular oil also at idle the same engine would show 12-15 Psi on hot engine. More is better when oil pressure is minimal. Admittedly the synthetic lubricates somewhat more efficiently, however the main advantage is it's ability to handle heat. Most diesel pushers today with intercoolers barely get to 180 degrees, heat is not a problem.
  3. Suggest that you use engine oil analysis to check on the condition of your engine long before it got to the problem stage. I use Wear Check USA, each sample cost about $12.00 and would have picked up your leaking intake and shown it as silicone abnormal.
  4. Are you sure that Banks has products for the Cummins ISB common rail engines. I spoke to a Bank's tech a month or so ago and they indicated they did not make a product for the common rail engines.
  5. I tow a 2012 Nisson Xterra 4X4 Automatic. Weighs in a little over 4000#. Installed Remco Drive Shaft Connect, have towed it around five hundred miles no problem. Cost of Drive Shaft Disconnect installed for me was $850.00, normally $800-$1200. Roadmaster base plate, wiring, and tow bar +- $2000.00 installed. Winny Journey 2002, ISB 230 HP, Allison 200, MPG seems not to change with or without toad, more effected by speed.
  6. Last month had to replace pump motor and two relays, this month the rear extend relay is out. I need to find some sources for parts, documentation, and /or comments from anyone else who has gone thru the HWH madness. HWH 310 Series 2002 Journey
  7. Restoring a Holiday Rambler 1988 coach with 454 V8 in P30 chassis. Having a problem with the engine. When engine hot on the highway, when second venturi of carb is opened the engine seems to die momentarily. It soon recovers generally without stalling. This happens ofter when pulling up a rolling hill or accelerating briskly from stop. Engine electrical, distributor parts recently replaced. Runs great on flat road at minimal throttle. Any wisdom I can get as to the cause and cure of this problem would be appreciated.
