Tax Deduction For Motorhome As Second Home
Jon796 replied to MarkandAmy's topic in General Discussion
To write it off, the tax code states that you must also stay in the RV for at least two weeks a year, so save your receipt from camp grounds to prove this. For the vast majority of RV buyers, the interest on their recreational vehicle loan is deductible as second home mortgage interest. To qualify, the rv must be used as security for the loan and must have basic sleeping, toilet, and cooking accommodations. Virtually all RV types: motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, truck campers, and even some tent trailers are equipped with these facilities. You can also write off some boats. -
You can also purchase dye that goes into the coolant. Let it run for a while and use a black light. The area of any leak will glow, making it easy to find.

Rats & Mice like to run along walls and the like and don't like to be in the open. Knowing that, I place a spring trap or glue trap on both sides of the tires (that they use as a wall). Don't use bait. They could eat the bait, die in the coach and cause a very bad smell until you find it. For openings that can't be sealed permanently, use copper wool. The will not chew this like steel wool. If you store your coach in an area that isn't clean, clean up the area to remove places where they like to be, if you can. Cleaning the area around your coach most times will solve the problem.

That sensor is infact the sensor that tells you your air pressure. B/C your gauges work and your pressure held, I would guess it is not from your coach.

RhinoFlex has worked well for me.

Can you move something like a fluid reserve bottle to give you a little room? If you can get your hand to the back, you don't need alot of room to do this. Remember NOT to touch the glass part of the bulb if it is a halogen bulb.If you have clean with alcohol before installing

Can you reach the bulb socket at all from below or above?

Use a Shakespeare SRA-25 antenna. They work really well. No wires hang out and it will last forever. I like to install them on top of the front fiberglass section. It makes it easy to bring the wire straight down to the radio.

The E.C.M. (computer) is programable on that model. I use a DiabloSport Predator Tuner. My M.H.P. increased and so did my power. You can flash your E.C.M. with a program that is all ready written from Diablo or make your own. I really like this tuner.

If the hole is large enough, I have seen people put a box type fan in a window or doorway and used plastic to seal off the area around the fan. Once the fan is running on high, they than used soap to find leak. Some times two fans are needed.

I had a bad mixing valve on my heater. Started off hot than only warm water. After it went warm, I checked the temp. of the water tank and found it very hot. Seeing this I knew it was the valve. The company that made the valve had me put it in vinager over night to clean it. After that no more problems. You may want to turn your gas off and leave on the electric to see if it heats your water. If it doesn't you may have a bad element. If you left the power to the heater on and disconnected your water, you may have drained the tank and burned out the element.

Could you use a lube pump and forget the drive shaft disconnect?

Looks like Wolfe answered this question in another forum look at the 4th post down on this link. http://forums.woodalls.com/Index.cfm/fusea...60.cfm#23235960

Brett, Those filters are very large. If someone can not follow the lines to find those filters, he should be doing the filter change!!! LOL
-
You can also just follow the fuel line from tank to engine and find out how many filters you have.

For the most part, you can possess a shotgun and/or rifle. You can't have a handgun unless you are in the state where you would be licensed. Only licensed law enforcement or retired law enforcement with a federal license can carry a handgun across state lines. Also, some campgrounds do not allow guns. As a retired law enforcement officer, who has the right to carry a hand gun, I must tell you, leave it home. I never needed it and do not carry when camping. Too many things could go wrong. Like a kid getting hold of one's guns. Jon

Check with the company that makes them before changing a thing. They may have made it that way because of heat. Those new types of bulbs you installed give off a lot of heat. I know of someone that did what you say you want to do and it melted the plastic headlight housing.

Ray, Most times you don't have a fuse for brake lights. Most of the time they install a curcit breaker where a fuse normally would go. Look under the dash at the break pedal and look for the brake light switch. Look for something that should be hitting the pedal with wires on the end and a push button on the end. Using a test light make sure you have voltage on one side and when the pedal is pressed, you get voltage on the other side. This switch is located about mid-way of the system, so no voltage at all would tell you to look before the switch and if you do have voltage on both sides when pushed, it will tell you to check after the swich. If you find voltage all the way back, check your grounds. Jon

Handicap Accessible RV Available In North East?
Jon796 replied to pkendzor's topic in General Discussion
Paul, Maybe you should post this on a site that has a lot of trailers like goodsamclub.com and ask if anyone has a toy hauler type trailer. On those, the entire rear of the trailer folds down to use as a ramp. I wish I had one for you to use. It is nice of you to do this. Jon
