  1. I don't do Donner Pass at anytime, anymore!  I prefer to by-pass that mess by taking Hwy 395 from Reno to Susanville, Hwy 36 to I-5. Beautiful drive with not much traffic, especially on 36.

Have you weigh that loaded extended cab?  What is your coach chassis rear axle rated for?  Also, do you have a long extension between rear axle and hitch?

  2. I only see one problem with the above 2015 post...we don't know what year the "used Pace Arrow" was.  I suspect the Refrigerator in question was a Norcold 1200..Nothing but trouble!

CW has been a disaster, along with GS, since Marcus Lemonis took over!   Sorry UH, that you too had to pay the price!

  3. The OP, after reading his first post again, said that he loses power on the hills, not the flat land or anything about stop/go traffic or lights.  I doubt, even on a hot summer day, it get's much above 80 ambient temp in those hills/mountains/mostly one lane roads, boiling fuel in line? IMHO, no!  If that was the case, it would have shown itself right after purchase, not 42,000 miles later.

I would not go back to the same mechanic.  I would do as Herman, Joe and Ray (Huffy Puff) advised.

  4. In a pending storm condition I pull in awnings, chairs, slides and I also get off my Jacks.  If you don't have air level as an option, just start the coach and air up, then shut of engine.

I have parked my coach many times, while I was on a cruise for 1 week to 8 weeks in the same manner as above....It's always been there on my return!

  5. Well all, we got back home about 15 min. ago.  Saw the Doc for post op yesterday, he's happy, said I had 20/30 and it would get to 20/20 in about 2 weeks and yea, I'm taking a regiment of eye drops daily, some for 3 weeks!  Asked me if I felt like doing the Left eye next Thursday, I said yes!  Will find out Monday from the scheduler.

Jim, AIM is going to be in Spearfish for their Rally in July.  Sure wish we where in your area, this area is sweltering!

RayIN...I really feel sorry for you and your wife, both of you have had some lousy luck!

    Thanks for your well wishes!

  6. Lyle,

Have you checked to see if your old base plate will adapt to the new Toad? Your old Hitch and Safety cables  should also be good!  I have a Roadmaster from 2006 on my current coach, it's been on 4 coaches a 3 Toads!  I got a Base plate for a 09 Jeep, that fit a 2012 Colorado 4x4!  I don't use a base plate anymore, but then again I don't tow a Lincoln!
