  1. We have had 4 motorhomes over the years a B, a C and 2 A's all purchased used with low mileage. I have seen Endeavor 41s other postings and would share that based on our friends who have purchased new that for all brands it seems that the customer is the quality control department, and at best the dealer makes the corrections. Even with our C and the A's that were 6 - 12 months old with less than 5000 miles, unexpected things popped up. The dealer and manufacturer’s service departments are really the key to the experience good or bad, but at least with a slightly used unit the first round of problems usually the big ones have been found and corrected. Later problems are usually of the recall type like the Norcold/Dometic fridges or the Boesch Brakes.

  3. Come back to MB soon. Carolina Pelicans Chapter is having a get together here at a campground on the intracoastal in early Dec. You could bring your new bus.
  4. We met Bob Tiffin and Danny Inman and found them to be very sincere gentlemen, truly interested in the customer. We were not shopping at the time because we were very happy with our 10 year old Allegro Bay. However!!! A couple weeks later we got the bug, because we saw the opportunity to update and based on how much we liked our Tiffin and how much we liked Mr. Tiffin we bought new/slightly used 6 mo. old Allegro with 1700 mi. and 5000 mi. later we love our new Tiffin.
  5. Thank you your response Michael, that is similar to others we attended, except they had provided much of the schedule in the pre pack. I had hope someone with specific knowledge would respond with more info.
  6. Although we have been to GS Rallies and a Tiffin rally, this will be our first FMCA event. The pre package we received was kind of vague and did not give much schedule info. Input from members who have attended past rallies would be appreciated.
  7. Tyler Dallie at lazydays. 813-323-0965. Did an excellent job of getting us our Allegro 32ca. I would recommend him to any buyer.
  8. If you are ever in Myrtle Beach stop at the Veterans Cafe. It is located in a strip mall by the back gate ( old Air Force base ) off 17 byp. Good food and great memorabilia. If you are a veteran it's definitely a must stop.
  9. If the mattress is on a smooth platform try putting some large pieces of scoot guard under the mattress to stop it from sliding.
  10. I have been towing cars using a Mastertow dolly for ten years now, PT Cruisers, Jeeps and a Ford Taurus. We travel mostly to FL and WI which is 1200mi each way through mountains in SC, NC, TN and KY.

Although I am now "Very Old" by Adams' standard, we started over 40 years ago. We had our first motorhome, a Class B, when I was 30 with 2 young kids, then trailers, and a Class C at 45 with 4 kids. We found friends our age locally and mostly caravanned with them. Probably the biggest thing that changes with age and participating in clubs is "time," and not as was smugly stated, money. You are fortunate to have the gift of time to travel and to enjoy it at a young age. We did not join any chapters even though we were Good Sam members for the discount for many years. Instead of going to rallys, we tended to go to campgrounds and areas that attracted younger families with kids, such as Yellowstone; Wisconsin Dells; Pigeon Forge; Arlington, Texas; Williamsburg Va.; Myrtle Beach, and Orlando.

  13. Have stayed in new section up the hill from the horse barns. Excellent for the price and convenient location to Raliegh and Cary.
  14. Most of the new Flexsteel couches have a mattress that uses air coils that must be pumped up to sleep and blown out to fold. A bit of a pain.
  15. We are Tom and Carol Gulya of Myrtle Beach, SC. We have been rving since 1971 and have used everything from conversion vans to trailers to motorhomes (1 class b, 1 class c and 2 class a's). As a result of a great Tiffin Rally in Sarasota this feb. we recently updated from our '04 Allegro Bay that had served us well for 10 years to a '13 Allegro 32CA. We travel a few times a year with our 2 Shelties, and like to explore new places or just relax at one of our local beach campgrounds during the off season.
  16. Had that problem with one of my motorhomes and the only solution was to keep water in the sink and tub traps. When travelling the water would flow out of one or more of the traps, but running water down the offending drain would take care of it. Hope this experience helps.
  17. Fortunately or unfortunately we have been rving for over 40 years and have used truck stops, rest areas and walmarts as an expediant when we are traveling for a place to stop, cook and sleep. My advice is if you want luxury don't stop, plan your route to go to a campground and pay your money. The flying j camper slots are really a luxury compared to most. Maybe some of us are getting too spoiled now that we travel with 4 big screen tvs and a satellite dish, it wasn't all that bad when we had 1 black and white 12v portable with rabbit ears and no generator.
  18. Tropical Palms and Ft Summit are excellent.
  19. 1SG field artillary US Army Retired Vietnam to Desert Storm. First duty station Ft. Jackson SC. Last duty station Ft. Sill OK. Third generation US Army and proud of it. Grandfather Coast Artillary WWI. Father machine gunner WW2. Tom Gulya
  20. Whisper Creek about 20 miles east of Ft. Myers in Labelle is a nice quiet campground.
