Are you a member of the Frost-tee's chapter? At our recent meeting at Perry, President Conrad challenged every member to bring in a new member.

Tyler Dalle at Tampa did an excellent job for us. Listened to our likes, made a recommendation and then went out and found the coach, which was like looking for a needle in a haystack for 4 weeks. He followed through and now two years And 16000 miles ter we are still pleased with his recommendation.

New Motorhome Floor Plans: Practical Or Impractical - A Poll
gulya replied to aldebruijn's topic in Buying an RV
Call us old fashion but we find many of the new models and floor plans impractical. We are frequent Parkers at rest areas and Walmarts when we are traveling from place to place. Since we don't want to put out slides we want an aisle wide enough to access bathroom, shower and bedroom as well as be able to get a beer out of the fridge and cook lunch, dinner or breakfast. -
There is no steering wheel lock on a Patriot. Check it out at a car lot. Even with car in park and key removed you can turn steering wheel with great difficulty and wheels turn. I own two patriots both are the same.

I have been towing a 2011 and 2012 patriot auto trans on a tow dolly for three years now. Only caution is no steering wheel lock. I use a rubber tie down strap wrapped around bottom spoke and secured to driver seat frame. Patriot tows better than any other car I've towed. The '12 has been towed about 20k miles including up and down mountains.

Bob was at the Madison Rally as cordial and interested in his owners as ever.

I guess I was hoping some one from the group would see the post and respond.

Retired and active duty military can stay very cheaply at Naval Air Station Key West Sigsbee and Trembo Annex.

Is the Frostees Chapter planning any meeting or get-together at the Madison Rally?

Many Flying J's also have specific areas for campers away from the trucks. Sams Clubs are good because they are usually quieter at night, in better locations, and have cheap fuel.

Towed on dolly for 14 years now. I use magnetic lights for night towing, I think they provide better visibility, never had them blow off. I run the wire like elkhartjim under hood and inside doors. Never had surge brakes or electric, with the workhorse chasis I always took it out of overdrive before grade, with the new ford v10 I use tow/haul. I have towed pt cruisers, ford taurus, and jeeps on dolly on 7 - 10% grades.

1 toll in Rockford just before the WI border. Last time I went through with a toad last year it was just under $3. Doesn't pay to try to go around it.

Unfortunately golf cart mania is a hazard at the beach front private campgrounds, not a problem at the state parks, they have the never ending humongous family reunions. Should note that while the state parks are ocean front the camping areas are back off in the wooded areas. Huntington beach has much to offer including alligators, Atalaya the huntington mansion and Brookgreen Gardens world renound Anna Hyatt Huntingtons scupture collection, a farm and more gators.

Living in and previously traveling to MB when we lived in Raliegh with at least a couple stays per year even now, we would rank them as follows: 1 pirate land ocean front 2 mb travel park ( north mb) ocean front 3. Ocean lakes ocean front 4. Koa 5. Lakewood ocean front 6 MB state Park 7 Huntington beach state park 8 Apache ocean front Can't comment on on briarcliff never stayed there. Hope this helps

We also signed up at the chapter fair at SEA Sarasota Rally. I'm just curious how many members there are now.

Ask Jim Duncan or Charlie Adcock to explain

How many members now Jim?

Have been in overflow at NAS in Key West this past two weeks. They are packed but doing best to accommodate anyone who shows up. Cheap fuel has many MH on the road to the Keys this year.

Because 2 of our children choose to live up there we travel to northern WI every few months in fact by car next week for Christmas. Back roads ie. county roads are very passable with class A. Sturgeon Bay is a very nice touristy area north of GB south central area has The Dells also very touristy.

We have traveled many back roads east of the Mississippi.Three bridge hazards to watch out for not always well marked. Height, weight and width limits can all be unknown factors on a route. Another hazard that pops up is steep up and down grades. Just because there is a campground ahead sign doesn't mean your big rig can get to it. Some state dots have lists of weight, height and width limitations for state roads on their web sites. Google maps can also be a clue. My rule of thumb is when in doubt stop and turn around, call ahead.

We have been towing with mastertow tow dolly for 12 years now and 5 different cars 2 PT Cruisers 2 Jeeps and a Ford Taurus never had a problem. Seems as easy to load and unload as 4 down. On 2nd set of tires and tie downs lube dolly bearing every 3000 miles.

Interesting idea as I run into this problem often when refueling. The frustrating thing is they're buying $30 worth while I'm buying $200 worth.

That trim piece might be just friction fit. I hit a bump in a driveway with my 04 once and it all fell right out. Surprise!!
