Ralph, Here is a link to the service manual for your Water heater. http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/subsw.pdf Check page 18. you should find information on the units Thermostat and limit switch. This has a reset button and the Hi temperature limit switch. This is where I would start. Hope this helps and work safe. Rich.

Could you post the make of your coach along with the year and Model Number. Some electric stoves work on 120 VAC, others on 240 VAC. We need to know which model you have. If I understand your post, all of the other outlets, lights and equipment is working properly. With both main breakers reset and the charger/inverter(s) working properly it sounds like all the 110 volt systems are working. That leaves the 220 volt circuit that requires power from both main breakers to operate. I do not know your skill level when working with electrical equipment or if you have a meter to check voltages. Working with a 240 volt circuit can be dangerous if one is not careful. One needs to know how to measure both 110 volt lines and the ground/neutral circuits to see if there is a blown fuse, loose wire connection that burned open. Is there a panel behind the stove or access from the outside in one of the cargo pods. DO Not open any J boxes that might feed the stove circuits with any AC power feeding the coach. This also means turning off the Inverter(s) that might be used to supply 240 volts to the stove and the 120 volts to any of the 120 volt circuits. Power down any and all sources of AC power. If there is an electrical issue opening any electrical boxes could really make for a bad day !!!! with power to the coach..... Edit, You might check your inverter system(S) to see if you tripped one of there circuit breakers. As some of the all electric coach's use inverters that can produce 220 volts AV. Rich.

elisowski, We have traveled from Niagara Falls to Toronto then to Barrie to Sault Ste Marie To Thunder Bay . That is a long trip by its self. The North side of Lake Superior is lacking in fuel stops. We just found places to park if we could not find a campground. Thunder Bay to Winnipeg- Note do not drive through the city !!!! old narrow streets and traffic. Use the 100 bypass. West of Winnipeg you can pick up Rt. 16- The Yellow Head Highway if you have driven The Trans Canadian Rt. 1 should you want a change. Rt. 16 is flat across the country until you reach BC. At Edmonton you need to decide if you want to drive the AlCan Hwy. or continue on Rt. 16 to Prince George. We needed to get some parts at an RV sales center there on our last trip, not may places west and north of there !!! West from Prince George things are getting more rustic all the time !!! not many top end campgrounds Period !!! West to Smithers ( Interesting old mining and logging town) Just west of Kitsegueda You can take Rt.37 North towards Watson Lake, Yukon Territory. This a desolate Rt. an few if any services and definitely not a super highway !! but some pretty country. At Watson your back on the AlCan. Another possibility is to drive over to Prince Rupert and take the Ferry up to Haines to Haines Junction or Skagway and drive up to Whitehorse. There are some cliff edges that protrude out over the highway as you start towards Prince Rupert, they could do some major damage to ones coach if hit !!! The sign for them is different then any I have ever seen. I have never Driven Rt. 7 from Haines to Haines Junction towards Beaver. You will need reservations for the ferry well in advance to get a space at times. Two nights and a day or more, one needs to figure in price and time too make all the stops, but they are only assessable by boat or plane. Order a Mile Post publication for information !! it is well worth the price. NOTE ! All the roads in Northern BC, the Territory's and Alaska are used for emergency runways for small aircraft and they have the right of way. So if you get buzzed or see a low flying aircraft coming at you, your road has turned into a runway !! Very interesting !! In Alaska if you see a motorist broken down on the highway you are obligated to stop an offer assistance. When out in the bush country one becomes bear food and the authorities (Police) can ticket you if you do not offer assistance should they get information that you did not stop..... Long stretches of road with few or no people or cars for extended periods of time. Remember it's called the Last Frontier for a reason. Once you have been there it will keep calling you back or just make you say its to wild for me. Rich.

Dale, Thanks for your feedback. The issue that now needs to be addressed is the flat towing sway. I wounder if you have a service tech ride in the toad while you are towing it, or one of there other techs driving the coach for legal reasons. No police officer wants to see a passenger / driver in a toad. However ! with some one in the car they could tell if the steering wheel was moving and the pressure required to remover the sway. Also, that person could have the engine running to see if that would change how or if sway changes. Eliminates the transmission system if with the engine running the toad reacts the some. Should the toad still sway in both cases, then how much braking is needed to make it track properly. If very little pressure is required, them your back to an aerodynamic bug a boo to my way of thinking. The items that then need to be addressed are stone shields, if you use one or not. Then see if you can tow a different style of toad and see how it reacts. Make notes on how speed and wind conditions affects the sway. If you have a rear view camera keep an eye on the toad as the driver keeps the unit on the road. This is not a common problem and one needs to eliminate items one at a time. It will require some time on your part, but a smooth towing toad will greatly reduce your stress level and increase your driving safety. For some reason its always the little things that are the hardest to pin down. With all the changes you have made and the reduction in the sway. This is a real world case of the tail wagging the dog !!! Please keep us informed on your progress. This information will add very valuable information for everyone. Rich.

Dale, Click on the more Reply options. This will offer a more features. Just under the smiley face and left is a box that is labeled image, this should allow you to attach an image. You mentioned that the problem is just when going down hill. Do you have a braking system on the Toad ? if so increase the amount of braking applied to the toad. This should add a slight drag to the Toad and in doing so, the toad should then track straight behind the coach. Rich.

A little out of the box. What model and year is your Coach? Just wounder if sway is related to speed and if there is an aerodynamic issue between the Coach and Toad? Was there any visual tire wear? Front or rear or equal if any? Are all elements of the hitch and tow bar tight and do they track straight? You mentioned the alignment was checked, but Has the toad suffered any damage at some point? Do you load any items in the toad and what is the condition of the shocks on the toad? Do you have a friend with a toad you could tow behind your coach to see if things change and how? Rich.

Part number 21544 should be the correct part number Check this link to see if it looks like your starter. http://www.urqualitysolutions.com/New-Starter-021544-OD9230-87266-A7692-D9230-OA7692-21544-5786-5786.htm This link leads to a service manual for your model. http://www.oscar-wilson.com/manuals/generac/a6448.pdf Rich.

The other system used on your year is made by Power gear. If you have the name off the leveling system control panel. Post it on the thread and if there is a panel number also post that information should it be different then HWH. As mentioned below there are a number of kits for the power gear jacks, so If you find the jacks are made by Power Gear. Then we can look at the kits and see if we can get you close to the parts needed. Rich.

Bob, I just realized that your coach is a newer model and maybe equipped with the Intellitec EMS series power management system. This type of set up could be programed to shed different items, powered by the Generator, shore power or the inverter in some cases. This link will lead to a manual for the 800 series 50 amp. There is a switch to select for 30 and 20 amp applications. The other unit is refereed to as a load meter EMS 750. both are very similar. EMS circuits 1,2,3,and 4 are rated at 15 amps or 1 horsepower (745 Watts) EMS circuits 5 and 6 are for the AC units. Circuits 1 and 3 feeds are from one main 50 amp breaker and Circuits 2 and 4 feeds are form the other 50 amp breaker. Relays in the EMS control box open relays, these open the supply of power to the program set up in the controller to shed appliances as programed into the controller. This is not part of the inverter it's self, but is directly responsible for controlling load current information and drops items if the current exceeds supply. http://www.rvcruzer.com/docs/EMS800_SvcManual.pdf Good luck, Rich.

I Have two friends that work, using there Coach as a moveable home. One is in the Medical field and there other works in the Oil patches. They live in a 26 ft. gas unit and 40 ft. diesel pusher respectfully. They do fine, but the size kind of depends on how much room each couple needs and if one or both have hobbies among other items. Rich.

Well ! We missed the worst of the snow, but still got between a foot to 18in. of white rain. Will take a little time to dig out this AM after moving a good amount of snow yesterday. Farther East things are even worse, measuring it in feet. Making up for the lack of snow last year and warming up into the mid forties on Monday so now all we will need to keep an eye on are the stream levels. Rich.

The following is a link to a number of Chevrolet Motorhome chassis service manuals that are available on line. The list is extensive and some of the manuals are large files, so downloading them could be time consuming at low data speeds. http://www.bdub.net/factory-manuals.html Hope this helps solve some problems Rich.

I found this Draft information link and in looking it over and comparing it to the information I have on the Chassis, this looks like a good document to use to find a starting point for setting the Alignment on a number of these older series chassis. Covers the 1980 to 1990 years quite well. The Newer Workhorse Chassis settings may vary. Link: http://www.offroadtoybox.com/RV/P-Chassis-AlignmentProcess.pdf Rich.

DD in this case the radio feed is from the same feed that power the Aux power and the radio is a 10 amp fuse branch off this 30 amp fuse. Rich.

Think your Coach is built on a Workhorse chassis, the fuse block / box for the chassis information mentions under hood. So it could be anywhere, I would look under the dash and under the doghouse on the drivers side. The box was located on the drivers side of the engine in all the cases I know of on the deliver trucks built on this chassis. Hope that helps Rich. From the information I have the Power Distribution information is on Sheet # 10 of there wire drawings. Wish I had the drawings, but this could prove helpful. Edited 2-7-2013 8:30 PM Mdawdy, Turn on the turn signal and listen for the flasher unit clicking, Some of the Workhorse chassis used a fuse panel like in any standard GM truck. If you find it then look for a 30 amp fuse (Aux circuit) This feeds power to the lighter / aux circuit and the radio system on some models.

Andy, The resistor is the bad boy in most cases. With it being wedged between the blower housing and the dash, could you remove the blower housing; cut through the foam with a knife and remove the assembly so you can work on it. Anything in your photo files yet? Rich.

Air Brakes Warning System - Pressure Guage Erratic Reading
dickandlois replied to Ferrari's topic in Chassis
Hi Don, Thanks for posting the problem and repair information for the group. You might send a note to FCC and let them know the Vin number of your coach and the problem, they then would have a record of the air line failure. Pictures and mentioning where the location of the line that was damaged. They might be able to determine if it was a passable production line issue or the coach manufacturer moving things to get clearance for there portion of the assembly process. Can not say that I have run into this issue, being mentioned before. So thanks again for posting the information. Oh! did the bubble test help in finding the problem area in the bundle? Rich. -
Shore Power Switching to Inverter Power
dickandlois replied to andrews.thomasw@gmail.com's topic in Electrical
If you have a MS-2000 series inverter / charger, press and hold the power / reset button in for 15 seconds. When the green LED starts flashing release the button and see it the unit resets. Light will stay off !! Should this work and then the inverter act up again, Check your neural and ground connections from your shore power riser to the input of the coach and all the bonding points between the AC breaker box and chassis. The bonding wire is the bare copper #6 wire running between the AC breaker box to the frame and the same size wire running from the inverter / charger to the frame. A loose connection could be causing the inverter to switch from power line feed, to running on battery power if its sensing an imbalance between the neutral and ground systems. If you are not sure how to do this safely, get an electrician to check all the connections for you. You mention in the Generator problem that the fuel pump has running running even after replacing the stop switch, so this leads me to really lean towards a ground / bounding issue(s) Rich. Note! this thread has a similar problem. http://community.fmca.com/topic/5134-help-no-power-to-half-the-ac-outlets The Difference between inverter models can offer up a problem that looks close, but the problem can be the circuit breaker(s) or the internal 30 amp circuit breaker that feeds AC to the inverter. This is a push to rest breaker that needs to be pressed. Location is on the left side of the inverter with the number 30 printed on it. -
Check the 12 volt cables at the Generator. Look at the ground cables at the Generator and the ground connection going to the chassis (frame) ground connection. Also the coach and chassis ground cables at the battery terminals and the ground cables connection at the rear of the coach near or at the battery tray area. You have replaced the switch so the ground(s) is the other point to consider. They are mentioned in the Onan manual as a cause of the pump running when its powered off. Rich.

John, What is the model of your Inverter / charger . If its a MS 2000- There is a reset button. To reset the inverter: Press and hold the Power ON/OFF push button for approximately fifteen (15) seconds until the Charging/Inverting Status LED (see Figure 3-5) comes on and flashes rapidly; once the rapid flashing has begun, release the Power ON/OFF push button. The Status LED will go off after the push button is released. Rich.

Electric Steps Don't Stay Extended When Switch Turned Off
dickandlois replied to MikeMarie's topic in Type B Motorhomes
Did you get a copy of the information link I posted ? Do you have a meter to use ? There could be a problem with the read switch at the door, this is activated by a magnet on the screen door. there should be an off / on switch near the door to turn off to keep the door open even when the door is closed. This switch could be defective. The other item is the logic timing on the control board, depending on the system installed. Rich. -
Hot Water - Heats But Goes Cold Quickly
dickandlois replied to MikeMarie's topic in Systems and Appliances
Mike, if you have an outside wash area, make sure the hot and cold are turn off and not just the shower head. Cold and hot water can cross mix at these points. Also could be a problem at the mixing valve on back of the water heater, where cold and hot water mix to set the temperature. Rich. -
John, There are 2 circuit breakers on the inverter that supply just 2 circuits. So check them out. On the Bounder, the inverter is located passenger side in one of the back pod areas, a space heater and griddle would trip them or the input circuit. So depending on the series inverter installed you may have to do a system rest on the inverter / charger. Rich.
