  1. I have tried to edit several posts, nothing major, just adding a few words for clarification. After I make the change and click "Save Changes" I get a dialog box with "CKEDITOR is undefined." The spelling of "ckeditor" is correct. If I click on "Edit" and make no changes, click "Save Changes" I get the same dialog box. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  2. Try calling HR/Ford with the VIN, somebody should have the correct data for you.
  3. I would run the jacks down...place boards (2 x 12) or something similar if you are concerned about the driveway. Also, if your MH is going to be parked next to your house for several months and you will not be going in and out or using it, leave the slides in. That way you'll be protecting your slide toppers.
  4. 2. US Army 3. 23 years, 7 months and 14 days, but who's counting 4. 05 5. field artillery, rotary and fixed wing aviator 6. Two VN tours...one in artillery and one flying a CH 47; where I served is too long to list. I spent a tour in the Forscom IG's Office and we traveled all over Conus, PR, AK and the Panama CZ. As a F/W aviator, I flew all over the same places noted above plus Central America and other garden spots.
  5. I have the NDA 1402. If you can still get one...do it. The only problem we have had is that the plastic drain hose in the back had to be replaced. It has water/ice (cubed or crushed), auto defrost and digital controls.
  6. I opted to buy one, not make one. CW is my last choice, normally they are very expensive...look around a bit, most are cheaper.

    iRV2 forum

    I just added up the forums of which I'm a member. Nine...three boat, one diesel truck and five RV. JMHO, of course, but IRV2 is head and shoulders above RV.NET, and I do visit it fairly regularly. I will admit to being blocked from a 5th wheel brand forum. They used to have a guy very set in his ways (he was ALWAYS right) and if you disagreed with him you got blocked...no warning, no suspension...permanently locked out. I still go there once in a while using a different screen name, and the guy who was the problem died. My biggest complaint is when a poster makes a post that is clearly just plain incorrect, and is called on it...and the guy doing the correcting is chastised. I just recently stumbled on this forum. The biggest problem here is that there are very few posts and not much activity. Of the nine forums, I routinely visit only three. I visit the others every 10 days to two weeks just to see if there is anything of interest.

    Vacuum Issue

    You don't say what brand of MH you have. On my AC, I have 12v fuse panels scattered around in at least four different places.
  10. True...I check the angle of the coach, plus I just 'crack' the off side filler tube enough to let a bit of air inside.
  11. Since you have a Fleetwood product, I assume you have a Power Gear leveling system. You can download an owner's manual on line. Also, it says NEVER let the wheels go of the ground. We have violated that policy a few times when in a very rough area...I just chock the wheels.

    I don't have them, but other RVing friends have them and love them. When my time comes, I'll certainly check them out.

    85 Octane?

    Running at altitude requires, and actually vehicles runs better, with a lower octane. That's why reciprocating aircraft engines have a mixture control. As you climb, the mixture is leaned by a control lever, so it is not as 'rich'...the octane is lower.
  14. Most likely all your 110 outlets will not run off the inverter. Somewhere in your MH paperwork it should tell you what 110 outlets are live when using the inverter.
  15. Like most MHs, mine has a filler on each side. Sometimes it flows better if I loosen the cap on the side not being filled. I guess it vents better that way.
  16. After dumping the black tank, I put in one cap of Calgon and a gallon or so of water. Every so often I'll put some Dawn in the grey and black tanks when they are partially full, drive to the next CG to let them slosh around, then dump and flush the tanks.
  17. You might be able to download an owner's manual for the coach and other manuals that you may find usefull...such as one for your inverter. As noted above, my guess would be that you have an inverter/charger...it does both functions. A 4,000 watt inverter is very big, but I doubt it would run an A/C for very long.
  18. I called Cummins with this question...40 degrees or lower it should be turned on. FYI, my ISL weighs over 1,700# according to the manual.
  19. In our Allegiance we have two handles on the left side of the water compartment, one for hot, one for cold. Open them and they'll drain everything.
  20. If the tank is properly vented, there is no odor in the coach.
  21. The OP needs to read the thread, "Tinting Dual Paned Windows." There is some information here that is not correct, but is correct on the other thread...I'll not repeat it here. As stated, heat pumps are no good below about 40/45...we have two Lasko towers to supplement our Aqua Hot, not that the AH needs it, but I'd rather burn the CG's electricity than my diesel.
  22. dcatel...the bottom line to all the discussion is that you have a leak...period, regardless of what the techs are saying. We had a car like that, drove us crazy, EVERY spring the A/C did not work. Bottom line, it was a very tiny leak.
  23. The best option is covered storage with power. I found a boat dealer with about five RV spaces, that's where my MH is parked. Since it has very reliable power, I normally do not winterize, but place trouble lights with 60w bulbs scattered around (W/D, water pump, Aqua Hot, back of refrig, etc). Also, I run the wheels up on wood to keep them off the concrete.
  24. I did considerable research on this subject last spring. Initially, I went to the company that has tinted all my vehicle's windows...he said,"sure, no problem." I asked that he please check with the makers of the tint...they emphatically said NO and that the windows would break with the standard auto tint on it. It has to do with the film either reflecting or absorbing the heat. So I went another company, noted for tinting home windows. He said that some tint is okay for dual pane, other is not, and that he has one guy that does nothing but dual pane home windows. Long story short, that last guy has added a MH to his list of home tinting and dual pane windows.
