Wow, that is so strange. Well at least it's on my end.

Not from what I see, anyone else see it too?

CW...well I buy TP from them, usually since we run low on the road and I know I can get in and out of without disconnecting the toad. I have found that PPL pricing is equal to CW for parts even after you factor in shipping. The staff at PPL are professionals in my opinion. Over the last two coaches when I needed something odd I called, described it and they figured it out. My last CW part purchasing experience was pretty sad, just a simple Safe T Plus bracket and they couldn't figure it out. FYI the safety plus product listing for a Roadmaster chassis is incorrect. I will say that Internet searches often do pull only the bad in a business, real world experience from a forum or a friend will get you the best results.

I call it over engineering, which bleeds my wallet

I know...right? I'll take an Old school mechanical diesel any day over a new one.

Hydraulic Unit Electronic Injection CAT, Navistar and Ford all ran it at one point or another. Oddly most of the components all appeared to be almost identical on similar years. Cliff note version; engine oil is pressurized to around 3000 psi and sent to the fuel injectors (via HEUI pump) it uses that high pressure oil to push a piston inside the fuel injector (oil on top, fuel on bottom of piston) to atomize the fuel, the injectors are controlled by a solenoid on top of each. The CAT design only has one solenoid where the Later Navistar design in the video has two. common problems; engine oil consumption via leaking piston sealing inside injectors. low power, oil breaks down and cannot be pressurized any more or is aerated. injector o-ring failure, causing cross contamation of fuel and oil, usually oil ends up in the fuel tank. oil leaks, at that psi you can really leak oil. pump failure and or pump regulator failure. Here is a later design (Navistar) that explains it. Hope that helps understand. Complex system that worked well, high pressure common rail replaced this design on all three OEMs later to help better control emissions.

Redline, was it the HEUI pump or Regulator? Most mechanics will replace both on a 3126 while you are in there.

Bill, thanks for the ideas. You certainly will not get bored here. If you are looking for dinner after 7pm....well that will get you in trouble

Bill, I have to get it weighed. The dealer had it weighed and told me the weights but I don't trust it. GVWR 36,0000 and we have pulled over 1000lbs of old technology out. My compressor cut in is at 90psi and my dryer purges at 120psi. 90 seems low for operating pressure but I am not familiar with your coach.
-
Hmm, if excess line is there swap the left to the right etc.... See if the left side now inflates while the right side doesn't. Also, 90 psi? Is that all you are getting from it? I would normally ask at what psi does the dryer purge, since you don't have one when does the air pressure stop rising? Reason; my coach hardly rises by itself at 90, my dryer purges at 120. Usually over 100 it comes up pretty quick but uses a lot of air.

Roy, what color are your shocks? If they are black those are the factory Ford shocks, I wouldn't replace bushings on them if so. Upgrade to Koni or Bilstein, shop the web for the best pricing. On my C I bought them from Summit Racing, back then their pricing was the best. They were simple to change, didn't even have to jack it and nor did I pull the wheels.

Well, on mine it is directly in front of the drivers seat above the generator, you have to slide my generator out to see it. Two wires and two air lines connecting to it.
-
I have them on the rear but not the front. I'd bet they were on both axles before. I was considering ordering a set for the front. I also struggle with PC. I used to play the game but people tend to push my buttons anymore and I have little time for people that can't do their jobs or know their jobs. How many lugs?? Really how many would you think with a 12R22.5 tire? Hmm....4? I worked (note worked) for one of the largeres truck leasing companies in the US, all of the leadership got there because they knew someone, not because they knew what they were doing. It's the world today

Glad you got this one. Enjoy it! Crawl all over it looking at each detail so you can familiarize yourself. Especially the roof, double check your seams. When you are done load it up and hit the road. if you haven't joined FMCA nows your chance. Lots of great benefits and good people to meet as a member.

Bill, we leave Sunday morning for home. We came here two other times 1998 and camped with my grandparents in their coach and again in 2014 in our coach, we loved it so much we came back this year. Today is a relaxation day, gonna smoke a turkey on the Traeger and sit back. Rest of the week.... Dollywood (one day), Gatlinburg and probably wander around Pigeon Forge, shop etc. Most likely drop the top on the jeep and head up into the Smokey Mountains for the views at some point also.

Arrived at Anchor down RV resort tonight in Dandridge TN (near Pigeon Forge) all I have to say is WOW is this place nice! I will post photos tomorrow in the gallery.

Obedb, sounds nice! We are considering NY as a trip for next season, will have to check that one out.
-
Bill, you will never be done. My DW was mentioning all of the little things she wants to do to ours on the drive today from New Orleans to Tennessee. we've had this coach since May 2014. As I check off the list she adds more . I guess it's ok, as long as we don't do what we did with the last one, just finished it up paid it off and she wanted to trade it in.
-
Herman, I agree! I hope it continues trending this way and always goes full circle.

Travel Across Texas Panhandle

Carl, next trip across I will ask for the list. Good to know. -
Bill, keep us posted, I'm curious what you find.
-
Understood. That looks nice. Let us know how you make out with it.

Bill, is the hose rubber or plastic? If rubber look closely at it, consider replacing. If plastic just pull the bags. Rubber could be partially blocked, just a thought. If you have the hula skirt type of protectors in front of them and you find them on the web send me the link, mine are thinning and need to be replaced.
