Maybe another reason to not consider aThor product? $2600 for removal and replacement of undamaged windshield glass. Get outa here.😡

Opinions are almost unanimous. Close enough for government work😄 on roof top air. We run our rear a/c once our coach is cooled down and ducting the air into the front. We set the front thermostat at a slightly higher set point, in case the smaller roof top unit can't handle the load. At night we do the reverse. The bedroom a/c only occasionally comes on. Everything is ducted and it does work. Why would you limit your choices by only going with a basement a/c. If it is substantially cheaper than other used coaches maybe there is a reason. Few buyers??

Forgive us Brett and Bill 308. 😄😂😜✌️

Can't hear our genset when underway. Trucking wore my ears out many years ago. Love the sound when parked and out side. No smoke. Could not get any better. Tremendous piece of equipment. Oh! You can't get that quality with a gas powered rig.

Try the "World's Best Cat Litter." Not cheap, but though my sniffer does not work all that well now, Betty's does and she swears by it. Made out of corn.

Right on! Memorial Day is the day each year to remember, grieve, and respect the memory of those that did not make it home alive. Many volunteered , others were conscripted, but they most all served our country as best they could.

Not horrendous if you have a good one. You will not miss the sound of a V10 beneath your feet. Had a Ford 460cube gas in our first class A. Darn it was loud.

If the thermostats have 12 volts, the display works even if the switch is in the off position. If you lose power to the thermostats, check other 12 volt powered equipment. Interior lighting, absorption type refrigerator, water heater, pump etc. If they also do not work, it has to be a common problem. Something is amiss in the 12 volt supply circuitry.
-
Thermostats are powered by 12 volts. Voltage disappearing and coming back on it's on while you are in a park is confusing. Running down the road with that happening would suggest a faulty connection. Did you have 12 volts for the other appliances? If not maybe the "salesman's switch" circuit is involved. On our coach that switch is located on a small panel in the step well. My guess is that switch controls a relay that supplies 12 volt power through out the RV. Intermittent electrical problems are a pain. The switch might be the problem or the relay could be the cause. Just a guess.

I too enjoy the aroma of diesel fuel. Started in 1965.

Maximum Grade with Tow Dolly on a Driveway
obedb replied to captbmf's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
If your coach can make the grade on it's own, perhaps you could pull the tow dolly up the grade with another vehicle? I am working on getting our 40' up our steep driveway. Tired of trip prep with our coach at a storage yard. -
Why No Kitchen Oven in Late Model Diesel Pushers?
obedb replied to fagnaml's topic in Systems and Appliances
Have not seen a high end class A anywhere in pictures that has an oven let alone more than a two burner cook top. We have an oven in our 2003 Phaeton that we have never used . You turned down a 5 year newer class A that is arguably a better coach than what you have and maybe at a bargain in price from a colleague, because it doesn't have an oven?? You are kidding, right? -
Our unit can be fueled on both sides, so I have two to lose. Lost one after having to run into and out of the fuel desk because of antiquated procedures on their part. The TA in Amarillo. Avoid it if you can. They wore me down and I forgot what I was doing. Bought a replacement for the lost cap and two extras at a large NAPA store in Effingham, Illinois. From now on I will set the cap on one of the inside steps of our coach. They are not tethered like caps are on saddle tanks on an 18 wheeler. I was lucky to find replacements without a lot of trouble.

Cross Country Trip, Reservations Yes/No
obedb replied to Bob26894's question in Destinations/Attractions
Never cross the GW. Don't even think about it. Re: Labor Day Weekend/ we have learned to have a reservation for that weekend. Other wise we just wing it. When we get out west in an area we plan on staying around we make reservations well in advance. We were in one park for a month. Without a reservation we would have moved several times during that month. When we boondocked a lot with our first coach, if there was room at a park so we could have a day taking long showers and doing laundry we took our chances. If nothing available, just paid for a dump and water fill. Washed clothes at a truck stop. Many have several washers and large commercial dryers. Again/ Never cross the GW.😩 -
AT&T Unlimited Internet Service
obedb replied to BillAdams's topic in RV Internet to Go/Staying in Touch
It is advertised on Direct TV programs regularly. Of course AT&T owns Direct TV in case you missed it. -
Never argue with a cop especially a NJ cop. Apologize if you can and might get a warning. Heat Soaked Turbo on the Jersey Turnpike ? Come to think of it the warning sign has always indicated 5 minutes when I was there many time since the Eco Police evolved.

If things get out of control, can she snug up to your jeep for additional braking power?😂😄 You want to get to I-25 which makes me believe that you are headed north?

AT&T Unlimited Internet Service

Bill/ I have an iPhone 7 with AT&T as the carrier. Have heard of using the service as a "Hotspot" with an iPhone. Flying blind . Do know that I am tired of marginal park wifi. Normally use an iPad not hooked to a carrier for surfing the web. Your thoughts please. -
La Veta Pass/ Eastbound it is fairly steep. With an exhaust or engine brake and your guidance, Linda will be OK.
-
Nope! Too dangerous! Never been there! Don't dare travel that road! Where have you been? It is a wonderful road.! I have written about it several times recently ? Been over it maybe forty or even fifty times over the years. Probably even more. An absolute peach of a highway. Especially beautiful in the spring with snow up top or late fall with the same! Elk abound in the fall late afternoon as you climb toward La Veta Pass. Just look to the south. Would prefer my ashes to be scattered in the San Luis Valley in one of the many pretty locations. To me that valley and roads in and out are almost spiritual. Peaceful. A thing of the past to me.

Very impressive. The FMCA magazine does have a nice section on used coaches. Good Luck.

It is the ones you don't.😁
