I am not original owner and have no service records.

If I take my my with a c-7 cat engine to a Freightliner shop what routine yearly maintence should I expect? Oil change, chassis lube, what filters? I have 82000 miles on coach, is there any other service I should be doing?

Carl, Did they have seats in stock or did you order? Did the shop do the install for you? I wonder if someone in Indiana could do this? We are only a few hours away from Elkhart. Roland

Anyone replaced their captains chair in a class a? Did you do it yourself or have it done? Anyone used the air type chair semi trucks have?

After talking to a few dealers I find I am unable to get a Continental dealer that accepts the FMCA program within 100 miles of me. I am going to go with the Michelin tires and be done with it. Thank you all for your advice. Roland

Carl, They are near Cleveland Ohio. They are a certified dealer and installer of Henderson Alignment products. Thinking of having them do a ride analysis after I get new tires, also an all wheel alignment. The Freightliner shop near me is reluctant to touch steering gear. I may not need anything other than alignment but I want it checked. With my wife’s health issues we have decided to keep this coach and fix it so that it is as comfortable as we can make it. I am going to check into new drivers and passengers seats also. The padding is starting to wear out in the current chairs. Roland

Do most of you bring your pet along to big rallys or is it best to leave them home? Our Jack Russell loves to travel but if left alone to long she tends to bark.

If price is excluded in the decision making, what tire would you buy ? Michelin, Continental or Goodyear are the tires I have locally at reputable dealer. Roland

I am comparing the hardness of ride to previous Michelin tires. Yes I have weighed my coach and have the correct air pressure. Reducing the air pressure 10-15# would under inflate the tires, not a safe situation. The Firestone tire has a thicker sidewall according to dealer which gives a stiffer ride. thanks all for thoughts, I will follow up and let you know what I do for replacement.

Thanks Brett, so would you leave the Firestones on the front or buy a second pair and put them on rear if the current Firestones are not worn to far?

I need to get New back tires and am thinking of getting a different brand from steer tires. Currently have Firestone steer tires which are 2 years old, they have done well for me but are a stiff tire with a harder ride. Would like to put them on one side of duals in rear and other side and steer with new tires of different brand. Will this cause a problem? Roland

I know most of us are diesel mh owners but if you were going to buy a class A gasser which would be the brand you would chose and why. thanks, Roland

My mpg went from 5 to 11 depending on wind direction. Is it always this windy here?

Jim, we have a grand Cherokee so no off roading, we just want to get a look at Park. Don’t really have time stay there. Is the scenery better in National Park or state park?

We are going to stay 3 nights in Alpine, do laundry and see area. Plan to take Jeep to Big Bend National Park for a day. What’s good to eat in Alpine area?

Van Horn to San Antonio. Then we plan to go to the coast and head south.
