  1. Church Street Cafe in Old Town has some good eats. Roland
  2. Wayne, I. Have never seen you and I am sure you are better looking than Carl!! Sorry Carl, the devil made me do it
  3. If I could find a reason to have a big truck I might consider 5’er but I have no need for truck.
  4. Last winter when we were in Arizona our park neighbors traded in their old 5’er for a new one. It has same type of leveling system as my DP motorhome. Was 2 feet shorter but had more room and was very nicely finished. Biggest downside I see is you have to stop to get drink or go to restroom. Not sure DW would accept that.
  5. I agree Wayne, our class A DP works best for us but it seems that there many more new 5th wheels sold.Maybe some of our new members will chime in on their experience. Roland
  6. I believe most fifth wheel owners call their “trailer” unit a fiver. At least this is what those I have parked next to say. As I said I am not sure it would work fo me but some of these unita are every bit as nice as a high end diesel class A.
  7. Hey Joe and Keon, I am just trying to get something started for our new members. I have seen many fifth wheel units and they are nice. They seem to have more room then our class A’s but i am not sure it would work for my wife and me. I wonder if a fiver that has retail cost of $100,000.00 would have a similar discount as a motorhome in selling price. Roland
  8. Do fivers have a similar discount from retail price as class A motorhomes? What brands (manufacturers) of fivers are considered better?
  9. About 6 months ago I had a Blue OX package installed on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and believe total cost for. Base plate and labor was around $900. Roland
  10. Bill, the little checking I have done leads me to believe you are correct. New vinyl will probably be the way I go. Have you done any of this for your coach yet? I am also having problem with my dash cowl starting to crack, I am going to try to find one at a salvage yard. Roland
  11. Thanks Bill and Herman, My interest was in seeing if this is a solution to faded and cracked graphics rather than just putting new vinyl decals on. I do not have the desire to do the work myself, I have better things to do with my time. Do you have any thoughts as to what this might cost? Thanks, Roland
  12. Anyone with experience in removing old graphics and painting on new ones. Does it seem to last longer? What type of paint was used?
  13. Anyone have a recommendation for wash wax service in the Phoenix area? I was thinking about getting my coach done while we are there this winter. Carl, what did you and Linda have to pay for the wash/wax? Roland
  14. When you set up x2 do one receiver method to get primary tv, leave that tv on and then do 2nd tv setup as one receiver method also. That way you will be on southwest satellites for both TVs. You then can use both TVs on different channels as long as they are on same satellite. If you do 2 receiver method you will only get eastern satellite 72.
  15. Jim, that was what I was thinking but when we travel from Michigan to Arizona we do get dirty and I think a wash would be needed before I would want to use Slick Mist. I use a similar product on my Jeep but not when dirty. Do you just spray the mist on and wipe off with microfiber towel? The wash wax system looks good but is pricey, Chemical Guys has a similar cloth head for less dollars.
  16. Carl, do you only use Lucas Slick mist or do you wash off road grime first?
  17. Jim, Did you order your unit thru a dealer or direct from Newmar? Did ordering have an effect on the final price you paid?
  18. Bill A adds some spice to our conversation! 😄

    Toad Oil Change

I had a friend ask a question today, with a toad do you change its oil based on all miles including towed or only miles driven? I told him I only change oil on miles driven but would ask what others do.
  20. You would not have to worry unless I am worried. She takes her clues from me as most dogs do with their humans. Carl, we are working on adding 6” to jump. 😁
  21. Wayne, My Jack Russel might be smaller but I would guard your crotch if you approached in a menacing fashion. 😁 4 foot jump and very agile. Also smarter than the average thug. 😊
  22. Carl, OO buckshot is a good home defense round, good stopping power and because of fewer pellets less incidental damage. Also in spite of what others have said the racking of a round is a psychological deterrent. I would love to use my Mossberg Mag 10 with 3 1/2” shell but weight and size make it impractical.. I think the most important decision is if you are going to arm yourself be trained with which ever weapon you chose and maintain proficiency.
