  1. The park is safe and easy to get to city. As you probably know the problem with NO is parking in city, very expensive. We are using Uber.
  2. Wayne, we will be in NO for 1 more day and then heading to Galveston at Stella Mare for 1 week. Will be able to do more investigation of the leak then, for now I am shutting water off and using Fresh water tank. Bill, do you need to remove floor to get to pipes under BR sink and shower?
  3. We booked in August. Seems like a nice park and rain is supposed to end this afternoon.
  4. Leak is under floor, area of fresh water drain valve. Not in coach but I do have window seal going when it rains very hard in different area. Did they take window out or caulk around it?
  5. d Joe, a few pictures from our MH.
  6. Thanks Bill, did that and no leak there. Do you think it could be the hose connection on driver’s side and the valve that fills the fresh water tank? I assume there is a pipe going from there to the tank and that area would connect to the top of the last two storage bins.
  7. Just a mild drip from light fixture in bin. I think it is either the valve at the water hose connection point or a pipe between the water heater and bathroom.
  8. Not sure if it is line between inlet port and water tank or water tank and coach. I will probably deal with it when we get to Texas.
  9. Good Bill but I have a water leak to run down. Between hot water tank and bathroom. Wonder if it could be water inlet valve where you hook up hose? Having dripping in last two bins on passenger side under water heater.
  10. Not dusty now, it has rained last few days. They ran over the park road today with a tractor and drag to smooth and flatten it. I have the idea that they maintain the interior roads quite well year around. On site resturant was very passable and not terriblely expensive. The road from 10 to park is not the best but no problem driving it. Many high end coaches here, we are the poor country relatives.
  11. Pontchartrain Landings seems to be a good campground, easy to get to off I 10. The road in isn’t in the best of conditions but we made it with ni problems. Gated park on intercostal waterway, roads in park are crushed limestone or seashell. There is a restaurant/bar on site that has good food and casual atmosphere. We are going to explore tomorrow and set to have New Year’s Day supper at Red Fish Grill in the French Quarter.
  12. Will do Joe. We are mostly looking for good eats and will probably take a carriage ride around FQ. With my wife’s disability walking is out.
  13. We are going to be in NO this coming week, staying at Pontchartrain Landings.
  14. We will go to Galveston, Corpus Christi and then to RGV. Depending on how my wife is doing we may go back to Big Bend. Otherwise we will go to San Antonio and hill country. Probably head home late March or early April.
  15. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all! We will be Texas bound the 26th, getting everything ready.
  16. Ken, I currently use a system similar to what you are describing. I have the Blue Ox system with the Patriot and tow a Grand Cherokee which set up to tow the way you describe. You do plug the Patriot into the tow vehicle in the center console plug but we generally tow 2-3 days without starting the Jeep with no problems. By that time we like to go out to eat and it is easier to unhook. The Patriot is connected to a breakaway cable and there is a monitor by the driver in the MH, if there is a breakaway it will activate the Jeep’s brakes.
  17. We will be leaving next week. That is what we do, hopefully can do this by Nashville.
  18. Thanks all for the replies
  19. Just want to run Mobley for wifi and Garmin. Some of our plugs work off alternator but need a few others which are on 12 volt system. I think the coach furnaces run off alternator. When we need air I run generator.
  20. We are about ready to start our winter migration which brings up this question? Normally we run generator to have full electric in the coach as we travel, could we turn on inverter and have full electric without the generator as we are driving? I know generator doesn’t burn much fuel but a savings is a savings.
  21. I have also used Blue Beacon. If you use them or any other wash be sure to tell them not to spray the coach vents for refrigerator.
  22. The problem with the Cherokee is the electric steering.
  23. Kerrville is an area we will check out, close to big city but far enough away.
  24. We have the same saying in Michigan, wait ten minutes and the weather will change. The Great Lakes have a dramatic effect on our weather.
  25. We have found most all Texans to be friendly, just some are richer than most and a little less likely to be as friendly. We do not like high humidity which leaves out Gulf coast and Florida. We know Hill country will be hot but we can deal with that better than Michigan winter.
