  1. I have pulled apart several solenoids that look similar and was able to repair them by just removing studs and rotating them 180 degrees and removing the disk from the shaft and turning it over. Not as good as new contacts but got may more years of service out of it. Jim
  2. It't a simple conversion I made the conversion many years ago on my 04 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. I installed a COLE HERSEE 48530 Smart Battery Isolator (200 Amp) to replace the exiting solenoid that combined the coach and chassis battery with the dash battery combined switch. Smart Battery Isolator cost less than $100. No additional wiring was required, took less the 10 minutes to complete the job. I still maintained the function of the dash battery combine switch for emergency use, Jim
  3. Make sure your glow plugs or intake heater is working, not what sure which one the Genrac uses/ Jim
  4. Mine has a seperate 120 VAC respectable for the icemaker that was feed from the inverter. Jim
  5. Shouldn't be any problem at all in Aug or Sept, Oct. storm should cause any long delays. Jim
  6. Herman Rechecked my purchases, my wrong actual saving was $140 , which calculated to $0.714 per gallon savings. I had made an error on my spread sheet. Jim
  7. Herman, This was my first long trip using the card and the saving far exceeded my expectations. Previously I had used Gas Buddy to shop for the best prices and found Costco my go to location in PNW, however when out of area many don't have diesel. I also enjoyed the large open spaces the truck stops offer. Jim
  8. Used my TSD card exclusively on my current trip from Pacific Northwest to Southern California, purchased 196 gallons of fuel, saved $220 off pump price. Never had any wait in line at any stations. Jim
  9. Big Ben, If there is power to the cord then you need to check fuse located on Refrigerator circuit board. Attached is manual with trouble shooting charts. Jim SM_1200-Series_618968C_022707.pdf
  10. There should be a circuit breaker for the REFRIGERATOR in the 120v AC distribution panel that supplies power to other 120v AC circuits such as Front Air Conditioners, Rear Air Conditioner, Hot Water Heater Not sure where it may be on your coach, on my Holiday Rambler it is in the bedroom. Jim
  11. Its not clear to me what your problem is. Does it work on either propane or electric. If it works on gas and not on AC, the problem most likely is the electric heating element. Jim
  12. Also if your display is lit on you refrigerator then the problem isn't the recall device, because the recall device interrupts the 12V DC control; power. Jim
  13. True, when the red light is on there is no DC power to the refrigerator circuit board. Jim
  14. NO, There's an electronic igniter. Jim
  15. I was on the on the road when one of my recall devices failed and CW was no help. They told me to schedule an appointment, they were three weeks out. I just bypassed the device until I was back home. I know I was playing Russian roulette, but sometimes you got to do what you do. Jim
  16. Norcold will not sell them to individuals and dealers don't stock them. Once dealer has determined that one has failed order from factory. It least this it was the way it was handled a few years ago. Jim
  17. I has several of the recall safety devices installed on for Norcold 12 because you could not reset them. I finally gave up and installed a residential refrigerator. Jim
  18. We are actually in Desert Hot Springs at Sky Valley Resort, were are u guys? I thought you has left the area? Jim

    B20 BioFuel

Thanks for the info, it's insuring to know that the bio diesel will will cause no harm to internal engine parts...My brother-in-law just broke down on the freeway, injector pump failure. Mechanic blamed failure on bio20 fuel. Is there anyway the consumer can determine the biodiesel blend at point of sale. It seem to me you will see gas pumps labeled in the future with only one grade with an informative sign that saw The GAS YOU ARE PURCHASING MAY BE REGULAR< MID or PREMIUM GRADE. Jim
  22. I'm going to shorten my cabinet when I get back the the NE, I used nylock nuts on the flat screen installation.
  23. While traveling eastbound on I-10 just east of San Bernardino CA my front mounted TV fell out of the cabinet anf fell on the floor between the drivers and passenger seats. Fortunately nobody was injured and only minor damage. I have owned the rig for 9 years and never had the needs to remove the TV never had any signs that TV was moving within the cabinet. I just assumed that front mounted wood trim was what was securing the TV in place. What I found was the previous owner must have removed the TV for some real an didn't secure it properly. I found the steel bracket that was bolted to back of the TV had not been bolted to the structural steel coach frame. It appeared that it had been bolted at one time or another, no bolts were found in the cabinet and there were no broken bolts in the threaded holes in the structural steel coach frame. I had been planning on changing out the TV's to flat screen ones, just never got around to it. I recommend that any one still using the old heavy TV's to at least check to make sure they are secured correctly. Better yet just change it out to flat screen. I just completed the installation yesterday right here in the campground. Jim

    B20 BioFuel

Just traveled from WA state to southern CA, once that I left WA all major truck stops (Love's,Petro,Pilot) in OR ad CA had their pumps labeled as MAY HAVE CONTENTS BETWEEN 5% AND 20% BIO. This was some concern to me because my 2004 HR Endeavor Cummins 8.3 ISC is not rated for the use of fuels with more that 5% bio. I do use Power Service additives and have seen no change in performance. My concerns are what are the long term effect on the engine when using of B20 fuel. My coach had 29k miles on it when I purchased in 2011 and now is approaching 80k miles and I am planning to keep it form many more miles. I do carry spare fuel filters and gallon of diesel fuel should I need to change filters when on the road. Jim
  25. Don't waste your time, performance below 4O F is not recommended. Jim
