It was a couple years ago when we stayed at FQRV and while a bit on the high side in price we would stay there again. clean, safe, convenient and nice.

I used the Michelin program in March, don't remember how much we saved but it was very much worth it. I got 2 new steer tires.

Anyone Buy Michelin Tires With FMCA Discount?
bthomforde replied to Ultratravler's topic in Membership/Benefits
March 1st I used the FMCA national account and put on two 275/80/22.5 XZA3+ LRH, mounted, balanced, new valve stems, taxed out the door was a little over $1300. this dealer, TCI in Orlando, is sending my take off tires to the retread shop so I 'might' get a couple bucks back for them. I think saved about $90 on each tire. -
Last Halloween we drove up the the gate at Fort Wilderness without reservations and didn't have any problem getting a site for a week. we have a 40' class A towing 4 wheels down, no problem getting around.

LIGHTED GRAB BAR FOR TRAVEL SUPREME SELECT
bthomforde replied to mtpizza's topic in Type A motorhomes
Try calling Dave at http://djspecialties.net/ I needed an wiper arm for our 2008 Envoy and he knew where to get it. I also got another inside grab handle bar, chrome ends with wood in the middle, all he needed was the vin# and he got the right wood finish, matches perfectly. -
I have a 465T and don't think I'd buy another one, not sure what I'd get but it wouldn't be a 465T. It's OK for low clearances but it also doesn't route an RV off a truck route, there are a lot of RV parks off truck routes.

We also have an M&G and love it. If the M&G wouldn't fit I'd look at the Air Force One system, I had a bad experience with a brake buddy so anything that sits on the floor and clamps to the brake pedal would not even be considered.

I used to have that issue when I went direct to the forum URL but its been working fine if I go to http://www.fmca.com/index.php and click on the "Forum" tab. No issues at all since I started doing that.

Never heard of "dyna tuning" can you tell us more?

We have a 2008 Travel Supreme with a Weldex camera, it works when it pleases which isn't very often. I haven't read anything good about Weldex and it doesn't matter the make of coach, they all suck.

Cucumber martini? I'd stop and say hi.... can you share that recipe?

Bill, you know I have Motosat system since I bought it from you, you also know I've had some problems with it, if I was to do it again I'd buy the Trav'ler. But I was replying to the post that said the Trav'ler was the only unit out there for all HD channels, I was only trying to point out their was another choice, if anybody cared. My Motosat has been fine since I replaced the LNB but the next coach will have a different system unless something changes.
-
I'm not saying the Trav'ler is the wrong choice but Motosat says they have a dish that will get HD on all the major satellite providers. http://www.motosat.com/index.php/tvante/69.html

I installed the JACK at the Perry rally. I like it, it seems to pull more channels with less pixelation. Had the Wineguard with the Wingman addition before, the JACK seems to do a better job.

Residential Refrigerator Installation
bthomforde replied to rorr1821's topic in Systems and Appliances
If/when mine dies I'd take a good look at this, http://rvcoolingunit.com/1200LR-Norcold-Br...sh.-P13259.aspx Some of the reviews I've read say it cools MUCH better and looks a lot cheaper than more batteries, a new inverter, taking out windows, reworking the woodwork around the fridge, etc. -
I've been reading the pro's and con's of macerators for quite a while to see if I should get one and so far haven't seen any reason to get one. We full time and the only time I can see a macerator would be preferred over a 3" hose is if you have to pump/dump up hill or a great distance, neither has been an issue for us in over 2 years of full timing. Like Bill I've never had a mess (maybe my time will come) with the 3" hose.

Toll Paying on Florida's Turnpike
bthomforde replied to tmoning's question in Destinations/Attractions
Florida isn't on the list where the IPass will work, IPASS states -
Last week I went to http://www.norcoldrecall.com/ and filled out the on-line form to see if our fridge was on the recall, a 2008 class A, it came back and said no it wasn't on the recall list. Last night Norcold called me and said their web site was wrong and our fridge was indeed on the list, she asked for our current location and gave me a couple repair facilities in this area. I went to one of the places and they are ordering the parts and will do the fix next week. I was pleased Norcold is proactive and called. Brian

If I remember right I only had to shim the left door, I have a good memory, just short.

I had a similar problem and took the bottom hinge off a shimmed it up with a washer. had to try a couple different thickness of washer but haven't had an issue since. It wasn't to hard of a job.
