The 12 volt system powers the water heater LP and 120 volt control systems. The original poster should be able to disable the 120 volt heating element to see if that keeps the 120 volt circuit breaker from tripping. If the ac power still trips - it sure sounds like a defective or short circuit in the 120 volt portion of the water heater system. Rich.

From the information you posted and the Magnum is displaying some good information. Now, if you have the owners manual and can fill in the model of magnum you have that way we can help fill in the gaps a little for you. Magnum Power is the most common name I know your equipment by. Rich.

Welcome to the Forum. The high pressure port is larger then the Low pressure . The plumbing changes with model and Year many times. The Low pressure is after the drier and before the evaporator and the high pressure side is located at the condenser input. I will say this ! If you are not familiar with the system - one can get in over there head quickly. Seek good information before jumping in to the project. Checking the system charge is not complicated, but needs to be done correctly. Other repairs and test require the proper equipment. Rich.

Richard. Push the momentary switch once and the pump turns on, push it again and it turns off. Is this correct? Yes ! I hate to admit it but have not worked on or replaced any of the latching relays for the water pumps in years, but it sure sounds like you have a handle on converting the system. The system works very well and is quit robust. The one thing that will do them in is over current and the wrong sized wire for the current load that supplies voltage to the module when it is turned on. Rich.

chollenback, this is the closest wiring diagrams I have for your model coach. They should be real close. The biggest problem I have is if your coach is wired for 50 amp or 30 amp shore power. There is no mention of it in all the post made. Could you clarify if you have 30 or 50 amp shore power ! Rich. 98 Sahara120InputDist 120 AC.pdf 98 Sahara12V BR FUSE DIST.pdf

Sounds to me that the charger / inverter is drawing a high bulk charge current and that current requirement is tripping the house circuit breakers. The second item I would check is the shore power cable connection, wire ends and the recepticles at both ends. The house? and the Coach. Rich. Transfer switch issue is a possibility. The charger / inverter could be having issues. Do the input beakers on the inverter trip? How old are the 6 volt house batteries and what is the water level in the cells?

Richard, what is causing a steady 0.09 volts is a sticking point for me. If everything is disconnected then the meter would read a varying volt caused by the alternating voltage inducing the varying voltage induced into the long wiring used to power the 12 volt pump. With only Vacuum tubes, resistors and capacitors to work with our ancestors made some amassing strides in developing a modern world. DC voltages where supplied by using vacuum tube diodes or DC generators before the advent of any solid state items. Rich.

Richard, the latching relay referenced to do come in different current ratings. So you will need the current requierment of the current pump or maybe a larger one . if you are considering an upgrade in the water pump in the future. Rich.

Richard, By chance is the LED indicator still lighting? The voltage reading is real close to the voltage one would read on a old geranium diode, leakage voltage. The only location that would have something that old, would be the charging circuit for 12 volt battery circuit originally installed in the Perkins battery charging system and you have or are using a different system to charge the battery. Rich.

Mel, Welcome to the FMCA Forum! There are number of members that have different levels of information on there HR coaches and HR an Monaco information does cross over to different model years. There will be others responding to you request and there might be others that have the files you are requesting. There are members that have had issues with the bay heaters installed and made repairs. I feel for your lose of information and suffered a number of files being lost when Microsoft tried to up load some updates not compatible to the older operating systems and computer mother boards. Rich.

Fantastic! With the number of ground wires running around the coach's they can be the top issue and one of the hardest to find. Great job Rich.

Traesdad, Welcome to the Forum. Most of the RV head lights are powered from a relay(s) for both high and low beam. A common 12 volt supplied to both the low beams and a common 12 volts going to the high beams. Both the low and high beams use a common ground for the left and right side of the coach. The fact that the low beams work - points the a missing 12 volts to the high beams. With a smart wheel, it could be in the interface harness to the control module or the high current relay for the high beams. Many of the fuses that power the head lights are the auto reset type, so if there is a short circuit they open whenever the fuses heat up. They have been known to go bad, but an open 12 volt supply makes that a strong candidate for the problem. Rich

Don, The What you want to do is clear, but some additional information on what the wiring is on the OEM entertainment equipment would sure help. There is an almost endless list of how equipment can be wired and no to systems are the same, except for coach builder and the equipment they chose to install. We have replaced two TVs. Could you expand on what the inputs and outputs where used on the model you purchased and the Model year. Also, are they the same model ? When the equipment required to install what you are going for, we then need to take size, power available and cabling changes required. There are a few members that have a better handle on the newer equipment. I put together large educational systems that worked locally and country wide, more then you need for sure. Rich.

Do You Know the model Chassis that the Coach is built on? Like a P-30 model year 2001? I Do have just about all the chassis wiring diagrams for the years Workhorse / Navestar supplied the chassis plus a number of the P-30 / P-32. Rich.

Carl, Did your coach have a manual air dump along with the auto dump setup? Otto did mention that he did not know about a manual dump valve. Rich.

Ray, Think your thought regarding the valves is valid. A valve internal seal would not offer a visual leak of fluid, but could allow fluid to drain back from the reservoir. Most leveling systems have 3 valves. 2 for the front or rear and a single valve for one pair of jacks. In Mikes case it appears that all the jacks had dropped about the same distance. That fact makes me wounder if his case might involve a combination of gravity and temperature changes over the storage time frame. Rich.
-
Mike, Thinking on my end is as long as the SCA requirements are covered. Color / Compatibility is not a real issue in your case because the system was flushed and cleaned before the Red extended life was placed in the cooling system an Cummings is happy with the choice. Freightliner purchasing department more then likely went with price as long as the coolant matched the requirements set by Cummins, But they are not chemist ether and purchasing departments have made a few errors. Rich.

Interesting, By chance do you know what circuits are powered by the 150 Amp fuse? A Fuse of that size should affect a number of lower current circuits. Rich.
-
Ray there is a known leak in the leveling jack hydraulics that needs to be repaired. The thinking on my end is the possibility of the level sensor is not closing and is wired into the auto air up system when the jacks are up. Rich.
-
Kay, He did check the air pressures for me and both systems where airing up to 120 lbs. So I kind of figured that the air system was intact. Rich.
-
Think there is a possibility that the hydraulic leak in the system is the issue. The hydraulic system reservoirs generally have a level sensor and your auto air up might be in a default mode. Suggest that you get the leak repaired and the reservoir filled to the proper level. Keep us in the loop. Rich.
-
The Hyd. leak is back by the transmission. Can you tell if the leak is from the jacks or from the trans mission? Do you get any transmission error codes? For some reason the auto dump valve is not closing to enable the air ride to inflate . Does your system have a manual air dump Switch? Rich.
-
OttoMax, Welcome to the FMCA Forum ! You mentioned 2 different issues. Do You have 120 psi air pressure in the system, both air gauges reading the same? Hydraulic leak is located where? Rich.

However most new diesels require routine ECM updates, some manufactures will turn on the engine light after a certain amount of time requiring a reflash. Due to many breakdowns at work we reflash all engines built after 2014 at each PM interval, when they get missed we get an abundance of breakdowns. Joe, A Texan would say that ain't right. Wondering how many miles or Hrs. between each PM interval? Reflash required on all engines sizes built after 2014? Rich.
