Oh, HMMM sorry to hear that....xoxo hope law enforcement caught up to them . I didn't mean good as glad it happened, I meant good I'm not seeking out employment there, but who knows....right job ....I'm sweating Wayne, looking into TX but not coastal, too much humidity, but employment will dictate that in 3 years.

Wayne, one reason I avoid state parks, anyone is free to roam around and you will often find people avoiding capture hiding out in a tent. Most private Campgrounds, not so much of an issue.

devildog1971, welcome! Your DW thinks like mine..."what's the farthest place from home to go", then were off! That's the reason we bought the 41' DP. All the comforts of home in a smaller package, stretch out relax and enjoy the road and everything in between. Cant do that in a car!

I had nothing but problems with the braided hoses on the last motorhome. What most tend to forget is while the wheel is moving the hoses will whip put against the wheel or wheel simulator. The smaller the wheel and tire combination the more revolutions the more likely you will have a problem. Mine were centered in the opening but while driving the G-force would pull them into the wheel simulator at the opening, on a wheel simulator the holes are smaller and razor sharp, guess what happened, not once, not twice but three separate times? Tireman's photo is nice, that GM chassis has nice sized hand holes, the ford are finger holes. I put solid extensions on it and never looked back, never fussed with it again. This coach came from the factory with braided inner extensions, the dealer pulled them off when they were going over it. Shop foreman told me both inner tires when traded in were "run flats"

Wow! Glad you walked away from that unharmed! slide fixed also?

NO indoor storage. Place not far from us offering it, no idea what it costs but I won't park our coach where I can't see it and access it. Refrigerator stays on all camping season stocked with the basics and I can be road ready in 15 minutes if need be, also have enough fuel onboard to go 1000 miles without refilling. I'm a planner, if it couldn't fit here it wouldn't be here! My pad can handle a 75' coach and also has water. NO maintenance reduction, maybe the wax will wear out faster, who cares, Either way it gets waxed once a year! Parks at home on a pad made for it with 50amp service along side of the attached garage. Cant wait to see where this baited post goes

Wow 40"! I was on the fence with this as I could probably count how many times I actually use this TV location. DD you need to post a photo of that.

Tank vent pipe TRIM . That's some serious quality! Note the thickness both sides of the toilet, one covers the black tank pipe and one the gray tank pipe.

Blake, made a shelf over the opening and stained it to match. Amish made.. I can say that because of where I live

Depends on what type of reservoir, some are just an overflow and others are live. Haven't seen a Diesel since the 80's that wasn't actually part of the cooling system, I.e. Has a radiator cap on it. Keep in mind when reading these bottles they are all written for normal operating conditions and under the assumption that the the engine will operate 80,000 miles per year. In an RV you have to factor time not mileage.

So this just happened to me at work with a 2011 Cummins ISC 8.3L. 112,000 miles cavatated cylinders, interested this truck only saw Freightliner dealer maintenance for the first 4 years of its life, then moved into our in house shops. We bought it used but I have all of its maintenance records and according to those it was all done properly. Obviously the previous owner paid for services not rendered. Just cost $14,000 to fix it, of course it broke down 300 miles from one of our shops, so I paid another Freightliner dealer to fix it. Very, very common today, shops make money on flipping units faster and so do the technicians. I have seen where a shop will dip the coolant, not look at the strip and staple it to their work order. Merely checking the box! I'm not saying the coach owner needs to be the expert, but they do need to do some routine checks to make certain they got what they paid for and their coach is properly maintained, by their own checks. Dipping coolant is about as simple as it come, but you would have to know how to first. Our coach is a bit tricky to do so, I poke a hole on the test strip, tie string to it and lower it into the coolant tank, can't reach the level any other way. But it only takes 10 minutes to do it.

Jim no need for the filter if the coolant is kept clean and tested often.
-
Jim, I love that, when it's swiped it pops up on my phone immediately

http://www.acustrip.com/sca.html Here is an explanation of how critical this is on a Diesel
-
Jim and Rich, you just described every trip we have been on. My DW hates going inside and we will often text back and forth just as mentioned above. That is the main reason I scout out Pilots and Flying J locations and use my Good Sam card. You might not know but those truck pumps can be a problem for a regular credit card. I tried to swipe my credit card at a Petro, the pump displayed it accepted credit cards but the key pad had the entire alphabet and numbers. I was suspicious but did it anyway, low and behold my cell phone rang within a minute, it was Capitol one, when swiped it locked up my card, they were calling to see what was going on and thought someone copied my magnetic strip as it came through in a different format. I didn't want the details as I was trying to get fuel....but lessons learned.
-
Definitely sounds like an SCA problem due to maintenance. How old is the coolant in the engine? Said another way has it ever been changed, SCA's added over the years?
-
Herman, where does one get a card like this? I avoid Loves since I got bad fuel from one, and yesterday one of my trucks at work filled up with a blend of fuel 50% water and 50% diesel. I run the GS pilot FJ card for the same reason mentioned above, easy in and out, very rarely do you find a truck pump that will accept a regular credit card. FMCA needs a card that will turn on pumps and has a credit limit so fuel can be charged, this would be a huge benefit for members as fueling is a regular occurrence and can be a frustrating challenge. Honestly if it didn't give a discount Id still be all for it! I don't like my DW going inside, especially at truck lanes, driver quality is low now a days and the likely hood of her being struck by someone not paying attention is high.

Herman, correct...what doesn't make any sense is if all switches are on the same two wires why does one not work like the others? Simple assumption would be the switch, but its new, maybe those wires need some Lipitor to help with juice flow .
-
Called REV, must say I'm puzzled. All grounds are the same and so is the switching line. I think my only choice is to ohm it out and see, maybe add another ground to the circuit....
