  3. I don't think the intention it to remove it for filling, mine was empty and it took two of us to lift it out, and a lot of foreign words could be heard from a block away that afternoon

  5. Don't know how but just stumbled upon this post. Glad you got it fixed up! I was just about to chime in and tell you to bypass the dryer and see if it builds air then. Since the temps dropped here they have been dropping like fly's.
  6. We are home, coach is winterized along side of the garage for the season . Hershey is nice but in the three other seasons. My hats off to you for braving the winter in your coach. I have work to do on ours (inside) And I wont go near it until the temps get into the 40's, sounds like Saturday might be the day .
  7. Same...one piece windshield, but a different chassis....who knows if that's the difference or the windshield shape/?

  9. I knew I liked you for more reasons than I realized . I cant count how many times I installed these on the F53 chassis, Ambulances and police cars at the dealer, they do work great!
  10. Our rattles are usually stuff we carry along, especially in the kitchen. The one thing that drive me nuts is the dinette table, mine doesn't have a leg (only wall mounted) so on an extreme bump it bangs. I bought a leg for it, just have to install it. I always thought I would age with the coach, so as the noises became worse so would my hearing

  12. YUP! We have a fleet of Hybrid trucks at work for NYC deliveries. Diesel/hybrid, electric motor comes on during acceleration to take stress off of the diesel thus making it more fuel efficient, the diesel also shuts off at stop lights and on deceleration, batteries recharge on deceleration (regenerative braking). The regular version of the truck (non Hybrid) 12MPG Hybrid 14MPG but the chassis is almost 2x the price. If the driver is not careful in his/her driving habits the MPGs will drop below the regular non hybrid unit quickly. Now this only works around town as mentioned above NYC deliveries, put it on the highway it does nothing but suck the diesel down.

Jim, with a traditional scan tool (not a code reader) you can monitor engine RPM's while cranking the engine over and each of those sensors to see which one isn't contributing a signal, of course you would have to be experiencing the concern at that time. Murphy's law it will start every time while connected . The crank sensor on a V10 is buried behind the AC compressor, passenger side bottom front of the engine. see if you can take a peek with a mirror, make sure to follow the harness up the front of the engine, look for chaff points. If you disconnect the connector from it look closely for corrosion inside on the pins. Cam sensors are on the front cover, top side and should be relatively easy to get to.
  14. Example; My mom had a 1985 300D sedan, great car never had a problem with it. One of my friends has a 2016 GL450 blue tech, that thing spends more time on a wrecker than in his garage. Those articles are written by people that were handed the keys for a short time to drive the product, can you imagine the turmoil if they wrote a bad article..you give me a free car to drive for sometime, I'll tell you what I think of it and the world what you want me to say we have drifted off topic again...would I consider a hybrid, NO. Gas engine MB...maybe but since I don't like cabin fever or hotels that MB gas engine wouldn't be in a coach I'd be interested in...so I wouldn't look that way either.

  16. Hmm, they called it bunker fuel when the cetane tested at 28 (which was the lowest, average we see is mid 30's). Any idea how the population is purchasing diesel fuel with low cetane, why, how does it get this way?
  17. Mike, our supplier told me that this can decrease over time, they leave the refinery above the minimum but often by the time it gets to the consumer its lower from sitting in storage. Is that true? We have had a few tested last year that came back just a little over bunker fuel, fuel that was purchased over the road.
  18. Rich, I never noticed that before you posted this, I found it interesting also. Most are probably seeking answers to questions, there is a lot of good data on here if you can find it. For the others that cannot locate the answer to their question feel free to chime in with a new post.

  20. NO way would I consider it! In the US we currently cannot get the diesel engines right with the new emissions systems that have been around since 2007, while the govt has mandated advancements none of them have been perfected. I would question the resources put into anything hybrid when we cannot get the current diesel engine technology correct. Gasoline are not much better in that aspect for that matter either, while they tend to be more dependable they do not make the power and don't last as long.
  21. Roland, that is one of our favorite places to visit, mostly because of Kay and Sue but the campground is beautiful and full of history!

  23. Ed, I would try a 1/4" extension, with a socket on the end that would allow for a philips bit, if need be tape them together so the bit doesn't fall off. A trip to a home center should get you going for a few more $$. Isn't that the way it always goes ??
