  1. Verrrry nice coach. We will be in Glacier next summer. Heading to the southwest now for our wintering hole
  2. This has been a busy past couple of months. Last week was busy and tonight we are kicking back with a cold one after one heckuva busy weekend. Why so busy? Fulltime RV life starts wed morning. We are so ready to roll. First stop will be in Elkhart IN for a few service issues that need taken care of. Nothing major. Then it is on the SD for our residency. Will be there for 30 days and then south to visit Sweetie Pie's cousin in OK. Then down to TX and over to Lubbock. After that, the schedule is verrrry flexible. Maybe down through Las Cruces and over to Tucson. We've been invited for Thanksgiving with friends in Yuma. Then up to Pahrump, NV. I think on the way thru Quartzsite we might do a recon and check it out since will be coming down for the RV show in Jan. Once we get rolling I will be a little more active with the blogs. Going to continue my youtube channel (Punxsyjumper) but instead of doing farmlife like I been doing for the past 10 years, it will be RV life. Even got myself a drone so, watch out! Hope to get some good drone footage of some spectacular sights. Stay tuned and stay sharp.
  3. Welcome Benny. Very similar to ours. Got a 2011 Damon (Thor) Astoria, 40KT. Just bought ours last year and did a snowbird trip. Loved it so much that we came back to PA, tied up a few loose ends and are heading out in a few days for the fulltime life. There is a ton of stuff to learn and like you, it's all new to me too. The Folks in here are great and a huge help when questions come up. The forum in here is great and youtube is a big help too. Not sure how much help I will be to ya but anything I can do, just give a shout. See ya on the road.
  4. Just looking over some old posts regarding ins. My current plan is Progressive through Nationwide but I'm not happy with them . This sounds good Bill and I was wondering how they cover windshield replacements? Thanks
  5. We are looking at the Whitefish/Kalispell/Libby area to buy but it is very pricey. I think Thompson Falls is one of Montana's best kept secrets. Looking at Priest River ID as well.
  6. Interesting. Well, I talked with the tire manager and they put in the larger beads, (no powder) and the stems they put in had the special deal to prevent clogging. They do have my extensions and also the rubber stem support plug. I'm going up Monday and will pick them up. Eventually I will get to one piece stems from duallyrv along with the TPMS. Thanks for the info guys.
  7. We will see ya there. Maybe I can find a straight jacket that color coordinates with the coach, haha.
  8. Oh ok, so they are free floating all the time? That is similar to the Centramatics plate.
  9. That will help, thanks. Problem is, we are heading out wed the 13th. First stop will be Twin Lakes RV Service center in La Grange IN. I'm hoping they will be able to square me away if the shop here can't. Calling the manager today of the shop I had the tires put on. This is a real learning curve and I definitely seem to finding all the places NOT to go to.
  10. Yep, definitely. I see on the driver side wheel, the support ring is still there. There is nothing in it though. On the passenger side, it's gone.
  11. Do they do a solid one piece stem for the inners?
  12. Yep, that looks good. Looks like what I had till the "expert" decided to take them off. Now I can't even see the stem on the inners. He was on his hands and knees with a flashlight going "There they are". When he tried to put air in it, he couldn't get the hose on so he says "need to find something to bend it down a little". At this point I'm thinking, this isn't good. I told him I was going to put a TPMS on it and he didn't know what that was. After I informed him he said I can get to the stem by reaching in between the tires. Aaagh!!!
  13. Yeh, same here. First I ever heard of it but it makes me say, "huh???". I just checked out Centramatics, very cool. Looks like the way to go.
  14. I gotcha. When you say support, you mean the rubber insert that fits in the wheel where the stem goes through the hole? Not familiar with Centramatics. I'm going to get my extensions back on (with support) and from now on, only go to shops that deal with motorhomes. Thanks
  15. Is there a "break in" period for the beads?? I mean after I left the tire garage, we drove about 5 miles and stopped for supper. Sitting there I was thinking maybe I only drove enough to break the bag and the beads were sitting in the bottom of the tire solidifying. When we left the diner, we drove about 15 miles back to the house and parked it. Never went over 60 the whole time. I seldom go over 70 and never go over 75.
  16. Good point about the special valves and large beads. I will be calling the manager in the morning so I will find out more. Extensions were on the coach when I bought it and never had a problem after putting 8,000 miles on them. Thanks Bill.
  17. Just had 4 Conti 275/R70/22.5's mounted on the rear of the coach. Said instead of weights, they use some kind of glass beads in a bag? First I ever heard of it. Good or bad? Also, I can't even see my inside tire valve stem. Asked what happened to it and the guy said there were extensions on there but they all leak so he took them off. I'm sure they make a one piece metal valve stem that will reach out to where I can see it.
  18. Newbie here as well and yes, I ask a lot of newbie questions. The problem I'm having is notifications of responses. Not getting them at all. I click the green notification tab at the bottom but so far, I have never gotten one. Chris in IT is aware of it and working on it. It wasn't bad when I first came in here but now I have to remember all the places I've asked a question or made a comment to see if a reply is there. It's starting to hurt my little brain. So, long story short, if I never responded when I should have, it's because I didn't see it and not bad manners. Loads of good info here and I do appreciate all of it. Thanks.
  19. Thank you Sir and may the good Lord take a like 'n to ya.
  20. Yeh, I need to start looking at the dates. Although, I'm not getting notifications of replies and comments in here so maybe he's not either. I did notify the IT dept and they are working on it. Oh well, we'll see what happens. On the final countdown, winterizing the ol homestead and pulling out next wed morning.
  21. I agree with your signature. GW bridge got me once and never again.
