Which is the best flat towing vehicle?
sstgermain replied to rvhd's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Fun and easy . . . You can't beat a Jeep. We tow a MKX. All depends on what you like to do. -
So you jack up the rear of the RV . . . Have to put it in neutral and hope you can turn the rear wheels till you feel drag??? . . . Then back off. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Maybe done that way if you are having a brake job done and that is initial adjustment.

I thought they were automatic on the Rv chassis

Adventurer Whole Side Slideout Finger Pointing

Not the same system. You have the GOOD system pre Shwintek system -
It would be the positive side

I guess what you need to do is find out which one of those cables in there powers the house lights and put it on the house batteries. Should be easy to figure out by disconnecting one at a time. Usually slides run on the chassis batteries. Mine needs to be running to operate the slides and levelers.
-
That looks like the jump start solenoid. I think if that failed he would have interior lights on house and chassis batteries.
-
The interior lights and stuff should be on house batteries and not chassis batteries.

Stuck check valve in the hot outlet or line of the water heater.

It is a common problem with those years 2013, 2014 ,2015. They finally got it right in 2016. When I purchased our Tour I stayed away from those years because of that. It really bites that Winnebago won't repair it--- knowing they've had these problems. Their customer service is getting horrible. If it were a Tiffin it would be a no issue for them to make it right. Good luck in your Battle . . . Hope you win -
You can also purchase a LSL ProductsToad-Charge which will regulate the charging to the toad. It is fused at 10 amps. We've been using one for years.

According to the OP that was his problem " The coach is now located at the REV service facility in Decatur, Indiana. The issue we have found is they have never seen a system like this or who manufactures them. Does any one have any knowledge of this type of system as we are not even sure just what this system would be used for as it is not original to the coach. "

Have them remove it. That setup is for the Airforce 1 brake system for a towed vehicle that is towed 4 down and you do not really need it.

Trying to Figure Out the Winnebago Warranty System
sstgermain replied to jbellona's topic in Type A motorhomes
Welcome to the RV world and their warranties. That is how it is just done in the industry. It is discrimination but he dealers do that every day?? "Did you purchase from us?" . . . No "sorry can't help till MAYBE next year". Stuff like the water heater is warrantied by the individual manufacturers. There needs to be some type of legislation where if it is put on the rig it is warranted by the manufacturer. Could you imagine if Ford did this . . . Well we don't manufacture the brake calipers they are made by xxx so you have to go to xxx for warranty work. -
The combiner is a little box usually under the coach by the trailer wiring harness that has wires going in and ones going out. It is usually 2 or 3 inches long by maybe an inch wide. I have also seen a bad bulb cause that. Also look in the socket to make sure there is no short Across the pins inside the socket. The combiner combines the signal and parking lights on the rv side and combines the signals on the trailer harness side.
-
Do you have a signal light combiner that goes to the trailer plug wiring. You could have shorted one of the isolators in there.

Sounds like the over temp limit switch. jumper it for a few minutes to see if it stays running. Is the water getting HOT and it is just shutting off because it is up to temp??
-
I have used it for about 4 years now and it works great. I use it on my Iphone when in the car.

I use my flex 6300 when in the rig with a tarheel. If I am at a campground for a while and there are trees nearby I will throw up a dipole. Put one up on a stockade fence one time and it worked good and no one knew it was there . . . KK9W
