rayin Report post Posted November 4, 2022 Thanks for that. I've already triggered the arbitration clause (3rd party estimate). I hire an independent appraiser, Progressive does the same. If the two cannot reach an agreement a court appoints an arbitrator. I do have the Indiana Insurance commissioners phone# handy JIC. Today I spoke with the Progressive dept. head of adjusters, he was not at all like the local adjuster, who was arrogant and actually threatening. The local adjuster almost demanded I take my MH back to the first body shop I visited because he had an arrangement with them.(steering is illegal in Indiana) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

rossboyer Report post Posted November 12, 2022 Today was a great and a sad day. We sold our motor home to a couple that will care for it well. We are no longer able to enjoy traveling in our motor home. We have traveled 500,000+ miles together since 1985. We had tents, popup/fold down, travel trailer and 3 motor homes. rayin Report post Posted November 14, 2022 Hang in there Ross. Detached retina's are fixable. I had a severe blow to my head about 8 years ago. Next day saw my eye Dr. He immediately sent me to a specialist in Greenwood who used laser surgery to reattach both retinas. My eyesight is as good now as before that accident. rayin Report post Posted November 25, 2022 (edited) Well leastways I got my full deposit back. I wouldn't go near Ft. Myers Beach for the next 2 years at least. My cousin has a permanent place there, she said there is nothing to do, see, or visit. No restaurants are open, no stores open, if you need groceries or anything you must drive outside the flooding zones Virtually all the RV parks that could open are full of temporary workers now, even if we could travel. To complicate the cleanup, Lee County FL has a mandatory recycling program, so everything must be sorted somewhere during the cleanup efforts. We did make plans to winter in Harlingen TX if we got our MH back in time, but Progressive Ins. is still dragging their feet about the supplement, saying they will not pay more than the original Progressive adjusters estimate, the arbitration process is ongoing.
