  1. At 10 degrees for several hours, the plastic tubing running to the ice maker most likely froze and cracked and each time the ice maker cycles a small amount of water could be leaking. Are you still making ice? Like jleamont said, the rear of your refer is basically exposed to outside temperatures.
  2. But 5 miles per gallon will get you 500 miles with a 100 gallon tank or 250 miles on 50 gallons. Thanks for reporting back, we were beginning to worry about you.
  3. There is a RV Park in San Antonio with a sign that is about 5 feet square, "Caution, pressure regulator required, 125# pressure at faucet".
  4. If you have a gas/electric refer you should have access to the rear of the refer through an outside access panel. I'm assuming you have an ice maker, turn it off and see if that helps. I'm betting the ice maker solenoid valve, shut off valve and/or the plastic tubing from the valve to the ice maker froze and cracked. What have the low temp been?
  5. Carl, I'm going to save you some driving, there is one in Kerrville. I can't help but notice the OP has never been back so I guess we can assume they ran out of fuel and are walking the back roads looking for a station.
  6. I think we payed over $4 for a head of iceberg lettuce at the gas/food store in Terlingua and dang glad to pay it since the nearest grocery store of any size is in Marathon, 100 miles one way. The nearest Spec's is a lot further, Carl.
  7. Dicor will work but Eternabond is basically a forever fix. It gets more difficult each year to get on the roof if you know what I mean. Dicor would be less expensive but needs to be repeated fairly frequently. Thanks, Blake.
  8. I'm need to do a little roof maintenance and i have a question for all you all know'ins. I've always used 4" Eternabond but I'm wondering if 2" wouldn't be easier to work with but I'm not sure 2" would be wide enough to cover some roof seams. Thanks for your input.
  9. We stayed here two years ago, Bill. The most memorable part of the stay was the first space we pulled in to had a huge hornets nest hanging right in front of our windshield; we moved post haste. Don't worry about fuel, I've not driven anyplace that I couldn't find fuel at least every 50 miles unless it was in the Jeep running the wilderness of Big Bend.
  10. Thats alright Carl but don't ever question one of my posts again. LOL
  11. If you go to the 2002 WB Journey parts lists, door, it description is "door check".
  12. This information will possibly help. Part number128913-01-733 EA DOOR CHECK-SUB ASM ADJUST Vendor # V196-04 http://catalog.winnebagoind.com/menu/Parts.htm
  13. Mr Meadows ia an extremely nice gentleman and super intelligent. I stopped by their place in Athens, TX, to say hi to Monty and Mr Meadows happened to be there. If you ever get the opportunity and he offers, take a tour of his coach.
  14. I've used the M&G Engineering system (including the break-away) for 7 years on a Chev Malibu, 2005 Jeep Wrangler, 2014 Jeep Wrangler and a 2016 Jeep Wrangler. Its a real proportional braking system.
  15. Here is a link for testing the thermister that is attached to the coils in the refrigerator. Maybe this will help with diagnosing the problem. Also, the thermister needs to be on the second fin from the right, move it down to raise the temp. Just curious, what is the freezer temp? http://thenorcoldguy.com/norcold-technical-support-blog/how-to-determine-if-your-norcold-thermistor-is-bad-thermistor-troubleshooting/
  16. I've been in the same tub, Herman. Nothing like standing in an inch or so of gray tank water just as you finish a shower. Makes it hard to dry your feet while in the shower for sure. NO, Bill. That is not the tank level indicator.
  17. I hope the original poster wasn't overcome by fumes since he never came back. If he truly poured a gallon of Drano down the the drain, the stoppage must be almost at the tank. I wonder if his gray tank was full.
  18. I think thats what we all mean, usually, when we call it a mom and pop place of business.
  19. I think rather than using a "mom and pop shop" tag a more appropriate tag would be an independent shop. Just my opinion.
  20. Flights would certainly be better from Houston than Austin or even San Antonio for that matter.
  21. Just as a suggestion, Gauke, I would lean more towards Austin or even further south because the temp can drop into the teens in north Texas in January. I would Google rv parks in and around Austin and start calling for information.
  22. I have Power Gear electric jacks. I've never had problems due to temperature now moisture is a different story. If they are electric, the only thing to clean are the magnets on the edge of each leg. This is for position sensing.
  23. Appears you have a leak from a puncture, an improperly installed valve stem/extensions or the tire bead was never seated properly. Unless someone is letting air out of you tires those are the only reasons for you to have a flat(s). I again suggest you take your motorhome to a truck tire dealer (preferably Goodyear Wingfoot dealer), have all the tires broken down and remounted. If you've done much reading regarding Camping World, they don't get many good remarks concerning their service department.
  24. I think of many times I said thank god I had all the braking I could get. I am sure we all have had emergency stopping situations. There's a couple I am sure would have ended in accidents without toad having braking. I think you answered your question about needing supplemental braking - I quoted your "that being said" term, that is normal every day driving conditions.
