  1. Ben, This link may be helpful. http://www.wranglerforum.com/f202/diagnosing-death-wobble-and-fixing-non-dw-shimmies-and-wobbles-78034.html
  2. Do you experience the dreaded "death wobble" when driving at this speed? This seems to be a fairly common complaint with the early year model TJ's.
  3. Call MCD customer service and they will walk you through how to mount the shades.
  4. There is a discussion beginning at post 13 on towing a Jeep with a soft top. http://community.fmca.com/topic/6443-flat-tow-2014-jeep-wrangler/
  5. Ken, What would be the difference to the top if its being towed behind a motorhome at 70 mph or driven at 70 mph? Jeeps with soft tops are delivered from the factory either by rail car or auto transport with the tops on. In actuality, my 2006 Jeep is close enough to the rear of my motorhome that it takes less wind abuse than when driving. I would never consider towing my 2014 JKU with the hardtop removed since I would like to keep the interior intact. If you plan to use your Jeep as a rock crawler or mudder and don't care if the interior gets destroyed, I guess its doesn't much matter. I'm only giving my experience and others may be different.
  6. I tow either a 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ or a 2014 Jeep Wrangler JKU with a 2008 Flletwood Bounder Pusher with no adverse effect.
  7. I used magnetic lights for approx. 15,000 miles and never had any issues with them. I ran the wiring under the hood, opened the car doors and ran the wire inside the car to the trunk area. I also towed in the mountains with no noticeable surge brake issues. As far as the dolly tracking that Bill eluded to, with the Kar Kaddy wheels that steer, the dolly tracks the motorhome and will not cut corners. I can't impress too strongly, check the straps often and always within a few miles after the start of the initial trip.
  8. I used a Kar Kaddy for several thousand miles. You cannot back up with the KK hooked to the motorhome for multiple reasons. As far as getting dead ended, I always plan my exit route early. Like any tow dolly, check the strap after the first 3-5 miles and re-tighten. They will loosen some and always check at each stop.
  9. The following link will provide you some information on the Freightliner MMDC unit. You should be able to get a turbo boost read out from this display. http://www.rvtechlibrary.com/electronics/mmdc_overview.php
  10. I strongly suggest you exercise (run/operate) the generator under at least 50% load one hour per month. I assume your dealer is getting you an Owners Manual since its a 2015 model, if not, Google it, print it out and read it for general information.
  11. Inverter? Symptoms? Refer to Brett's post again.
  12. If you read the Garmin and/or the Rand McNally Yahoo user groups, you will find there are inherent flaws in both systems. I have the Garmin RV760 and unless you set it to either car mode or set the height, weight, etc limits low it will route you on some extremely interesting routes. It may route you a 100 miles further just to keep you on a major highway. I have used my Truckers Atlas and my smartphone maps much more since purchasing the Garmin. Verify, verify and then verify.
  13. Quick check...do you have 1/2" clearance when the slid is in now?
  14. Is this a factory install or did you install it afterwards? Is your inverter a modified or pure sine wave inverter? Most residential refrigerators require a pure sine wave inverter. I believe the popular Samsung residential refer is the only one that states using a modified sine wave inverter is permissable.
  15. We have towed our 2005 Wrangler with an after market soft top approximately 4000 miles in rain, sleet, snow and desert heat without any issues. Personally, I would never tow my Jeep with the top down. For one thing, when you use the roof air(s) on the motorhome the condensate (water) that comes from the air conditioner blows directly on to the Jeep or in to the Jeep if there is no top on it. I can't recall ever seeing a Jeep other than a hunting Jeep towed with the top off.
  16. Majorberry, If you compare Coach Net vs the FMCA program side by side, its a no-brainer. I have and have used Coach Net for two years. Labor day last year I had a rear air bag issue while in West Glacier, MT. Coach Net located and had a mobile mechanic on site within 2 hours on Labor Day. He repaired a faulty check valve at no-charge because he said Coach Net pays say good for his time and mileage. Guess who I'll be keeping?

  19. A call to Fleetwood customer service may answer that or any other questions you may have. You can also download any Fleetwood brochure from this site: http://www.fleetwoodrv.com/library/
  20. As a suggestion, wrightcamping, Google Jeep Cherokee Forum and post your question there. Chances of a member of this forum towing a 2015 Jeep.... is remote. That forum may have a specific area on towing a Cherokee. Unfortunately for we Jeep owners, Jeep often make changes that we never know about until its too late and we certainly can't depend on the owners manual to always be up to date and accurate. Good luck.
  21. Just curious about your rving experience. I believe both these posters are spammers. In the last few days they have been denied access to some of the other rv forums.
