Freightliner had a recall on our 2008 wiring harness is the reason there was no charge.

The daisy chain wiring to the LBCU needs to be replaced, bad connectors. Freightliner replaced ours even though it was way out of warranty. Call the Freightliner Help Desk with your VIN and they will help you.

I would suggest finding another dealer. Do I understand correctly that when you park your vehicle next to the mh and it casts a shadow on the vehicle the lights come on? Do they come on when you drive in the garage and stay on all night? I've never seen automatic lights come on with the ignition in the off position.

I think he is talking about winterizing a residential refrigerator. When I installed my residential refrigerator, I thought about that also because the only way to get to the water solenoid valve is to pull the refrigerator out. The valve is mounted on the base of the refrigerator with a sheet metal covering over it so its not accessible from the outside opening. Or at least its not on my MH. I considered relocating the valve so I would have access but since its stored in a building in the Houston area and we rarely get severe freezes I decided I can always drop a heat lamp in the compartment should the need arise. I'm sure with all the units being built with residential refrigerators, someone has a good answer for the OP.

I'm still thinking about and chuckling about how long would it take to sit and pump the brake to empty the tank. Then when you leave you have to wait to air up the tanks then the airbags. I've seen people do all sorts of things that make me grin and some that make me grimace. My favorite is after the air brake is set they level the coach lifting the rear wheels off the ground. Hi Ron, maybe yours works that way but when I "dump the air" I'm only dumping the air in the airbags not dumping the air tanks. The only way I can drain the pressure from the air tanks is to manually open a valve on the tank(s). Like I said, mine may be different than others.

I wouldn't trade the hard ice cream and the additional storage space for anything. Previously we bought small jars of condiments to conserve space, now we empty the house refer into the house size refer in the motorhome. I would guess we can carry 2 times the quantity in the Samsung vs the Nocold. I never could get the Nocold freezer below 15 degrees and it was rare to get it that cold.

I needed to remove both seats and the grab bar to get the Nocold out. I also covered the dash with a heavy moving blanket. I didn't need to remove anything from the rear of the Nocold.

Herman, I replaced my Nocold earlier this year with the Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF18HFENBSP purchased at Home Depot. We recently returned from a 6 week trip. When we left we basically emptied our home refer into the motorhome refer. Having the large freezer, compared to the nocold, was a tremendous bonus. If you go with this model, the height dimension in the Samsung spec sheet is misleading. I don't remember the exact measurement but its maybe close to one inch taller. I did the install myself in a couple of days, maybe 8-10 hours total. I had an outlet from the MSW Inverter in the existing nocold opening so didn't need to do any electrical work. Home Depot delivery helped me remove the nocold through the door and set the Samsung inside the opening for me. I removed the nocold doors and HD removed the Samsung doors so it would fit through the passage door. Now the downside - the ice cream is hard as a rock so don't forget to add a sturdy ice cream scoop to the utensil drawer. I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Little9, Another possibility. If you have the "little black box" installed, this was part of the recall to allegedly keep the refer from catching fire. The black box can go wacky if it gets wet.

Neither the chassis manufacturer (Freightliner) or leveler manufacturer recommends storing for extended period of time with the jacks in the down position. Remember, there is the possibility the hydraulic jacks will leak down. Possibly your chassis manufacturer and/or leveler manufacturer recommends differently.

What does the Owners Manual say about recreational towing?

I suggest checking to see if any manufacturers of base plates build a baseplate for the vehicles you're interested in and check with Remco for a transmission lube pump. There is most likely a very good reason they are silent on this issue...they don't recommend it.
