  1. Dave I'm trying to read the part number of the board. Think it is 1561507 Rev. A Is that correct? Rich.
  2. David, The picture shows the Solenoid on page 307 in the manual link I sent you in a PM of the manual link. The page offers some info on what it does. Bills thought regarding a loose ground is a good one. Grounds are one of the most common electrical bugs. Rich
  3. Kind Of ! The other key point was the damaged relays and sockets that where replaced. Leaning towards some chaffed or damaged cable(s). The coach is almost 18 years old. The starting relay current should only draw current in start. while on the road what would draw enough current to trip the 50 amp auto rest breaker? and what ACC where powered on when it shut down? smaller fuses all OK and he still had 12 vols on the supply side of the 50 Amp fuse. that info should narrow down the problem. Rich. Note I do not have the OEM electrical drawings for his model year just some photos.
  4. Herman, Good points, but he did not mention any check engine lights coming on. Rich
  5. David, Could you post the relay you replaced that where melted / The number and location information would also help. Think you are referring to the fuse panel in the outside bay - drivers side. I think they are all in the start/run circuits. Did any of the ACC items work?, like the heater blower motor and windshield fans, Windshield wipers, turn signals / 4 way flashers? Rich.
  6. Many of the campgrounds in the area open around Memorial Day, tend to be more expensive. September can be, very nice, Time of the month can be cooler around the 30th. You mentioned West Point. Do you have someone going to the Academe? The people in and around The big apple have a different personality, then up Stater's You can Google---campgrounds in orange county NY to start looking. Many people love the area, not me just to many people. Rich.
  7. What Make and model generator is in your Coach? Thinking that your coach is diesel powered, So that would also use diesel fuel. What is the weather like in your area? Is it cold? Did you treat you fuel before it was placed in storage? Is the fuel tank full? Did you try to start the Chassis engine and then try to start the generator? Rich.
  8. Welcome to the FMCA Forum! There are no dumb questions on this forum. We want everyone to be safe. Please post the Make, Model and Year of your coach. That helps us to offer relative information. You just have to inform us as to where you want to start, All of the members are new bees is some respect as there is always something new that many of us have been through at some point. Rich.
  9. MNWilliams, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. IMHO. This is a question that would be best answered by Roger, the forums personal tire engineer. The tires do degrade over time. Mother nature and Ozone are not kind to tires. Think safety first. The time to enjoy life and do things that have been on your bucket list for a few years! Rich.
  10. After looking over information and PDF files, there are some common items and systems between the Spartan an Freightliner X series Chassis. The Instrument panel or dash can look total different, but the Madallian system was used by both when it comes to reading ECM fault codes and setting up other systems. The 2 PDF files cover the common information. The biggest difference is, one is an owners manual and the Other is more a service manual. The Freightliner manual is more for the owners and the Spartan information is in the realm of the service tech. It comes down to knowing when to hold them and when to fold them as the song goes. This information is for those who love there classic coach and much of the information for them is disappearing. Rich. 11. Welcome to the FMCA Forum ! Traction Control System is used to prevent wheel spin from occurring due to acceleration. ... The major difference between an ABS and a Traction Control system is that while ABS stops the wheel from spinning while braking, Traction Control stops the wheel from spinning while the vehicle is accelerating. Both systems use the same wheel sensors. The model year coach you posted could have a air over hydraulic type system. The traction control system could be activating because of low hydraulic fluid. Should that be the case, the ABS light cumming on could also start coming on. How long has it been sense the hydraulic fluid been checked or replace? If you have hydraulic brakes. The problem could could be in the air system, if that system is in need of repair. Moisture in the air system or even an oil buildup from the air compressor could come into play. The other item causing the issue could be corrosion of the wheel sensors or related connectors. Who's chassis is the coach built on ? Rich.
  12. You might take a look at this thread. The tier size might not be the same as your's , but the information will help you understand the variables one needs to consider. This information is posted in the Tires thread. Rich. Hankook 275/80/22.5 Vs Michelin same size
  13. Welcome to the FMCA Forum! How full is the LP tank? What is the ambient temperature at your location at the time and what was it when the LP system was working earlier? What is the Year, Make and Model Of you equipment.? Rich
  14. Ditto!!! The only question I have is how much weight is the slide ram moving? and if he knows what the slide maximum load is? Rich.
  15. Joe, Think there is a hidden design flaw. When the electric system shorts out / fails, the refrigerator control board will tend to switch to LP. That is a auto function on many models. One can defeat that by placing the system in the LP mode manually. Not real positive if that step will prevent your case, but it would keep the gas valve open and no AC supplied to the 2 - 400 watt electric heater coils that light up the coolant in the system. Kind of like using a lighter to light a number of chemicals spraying out of the can. Rich.
  16. One member of the forum did ask what rams you are talking about? The leveling jack, slide out rams or some other application? You replaced 4 of the original 5. That kind takes the leveling jacks out out of the equation most coach builders use 3 or 4. What is the price of each ram and do you R and R them ? and did LCI personal offer any thoughts as to why they failed or are failing? Rich.
  17. Ray, The LP pilot voltage sensors fail over time and the voltage drops low enough to disable the LP valve from opening or staying open. We do not use the Norcold on AC power. The heater coils cause the cooling unit to cycle from cold to hot . IMHO -that causes the heat exchanger to keep expanding and contracting. Like bending a piece of wire back and forth - it will brake . LP heat is quit steady so there is very little thermal change in the system. The ones that have failed have been running on AC power from the information I have been reading. Growing up in rural america , we had a ice box until I was around 10 years old. We got ice from an ice house, delivered by a horse and wagon. Then we got a LP style refrigerator that worked for a long time even after we got Electricity. Rich.
  18. F 432347 This is a copy of the manual that covers How to use the message center to read The Fault Codes that might be stored. They keep trying to keep things up to date as the software changes. This file is 52 pages long. https://www.rvtechlibrary.com/chassis/spartan_message_center.pdf Check Page 23, Section 2-15 covers fault code retrieval. Might be a good starting point. The other item to check is the ground connections, because issues you did mention are intermittent. Rich. Edit, Added information . This is a less intensive PDF file that covers the coach gauges and message center. This file is 14 pages long. https://www.spartanchassis.com/cps/login/UploadedFiles/Medallion Gauges-Spartan Operators Guide _RevA 8-28-04__12820061424088530000.pdf
  19. Thanks Joe ! My reply was based on the coach bring 05 model year, The newer units have a more extensive Can system for sure ! Rich.
  20. Welcome to the FMCA Forum and the learning curve we all have been on. Some members have owned more then one over the years and each time we change coaches, it starts the whole learning process over.. LOL The list can very, Kind of depends on the Make, Model and year. Could you post That information and then you will get some information relevant to the coach. Rich.
  21. Do you have an A / E background? Rich.
  22. Welcome to the Forum! Could you post the Model and chassis the Coach is built on for the group . Could you offer some information on the Smart wheel? Speedometer, ABS and check engine light, seam to be an odd combination. ECM is linked to all the mentioned issue form my limited experience. Rich.
  23. Wakery, Could you also post the make of tires and size plus the DOT tire date stamp> Rich.
  24. Joe, Attached is A link to the parts list for your Generator. and a PDF file copy of the owners manual. https://gensetservices.com/wp-content/themes/gensetservices/PartsPDFs/0C4547.pdf And a copy of the owners manual, that should help you set the voltage and the frequency - should read around 120 volts at 60 cycles. Rich. Generac_Genny_75D_model_04270-00D7427_manual.pdf Generac 75 D voltage Regulator info 2.pdf
  25. Joe, Thanks for the feedback. Glad that things are looking up and the readings are in the nominal range. Rich.
