Nobody washes my MH but me and I do not use a power washer. If something gets screwed up I can go look in the mirror and find the guilty party!☹️

Unfortunately quite true. I put on new tires last July, my Michelins were cracking at five and a half years old and 34,000 miles. Over rated and over priced.

I would not have an AH that ran on propane. You can use the electric element for normal use if not too cold and fire up the diesel burner when it gets chilly...no hassle or danger of propane...plus you don't loose a storage bay for the propane, unless it's really small.

Same on my coach, AC puts GFIs all over the place, you'll have to look around for them. I have one in the power hose compartment.

I just binged the 2020 Horizon 42Q. The ad says it's all electric, but lists the amount of propane on board. The very first thing I noticed in the picture is that the paint scheme on the sides of the coach does not carry on to the sides of the slides. A minor point, but at nearly $500k it should have that feature. It does have the induction cooktop, Aqua Hot and and steerable tag. The latter is getting to be standard on the higher end coaches. IMHO, it's something else that can go wrong for very little benefit. With a GCWR of over 60k, it might be a bit under powered with the 8.9L ISL 450 HP diesel.

Put the numbers from different size tires in the appropriate block and this chart will show the difference....MPH, RPM, etc... https://tiresize.com/comparison/

We had a 3400RL also. Great floor plan.

We bought an 07 Montana in June 2006 and I joined the Montana forum at that time. It was full of good information, but one of the moderators, who has since died, drove a 3/4 ton truck hauling the biggest Montana. He got upset when anybody pointed out how over weight he was after he made one of his "pulls fine" posts. It got to the point when we just asked him to not make posts to new member trying to decide which truck to purchase since he was clearly biased and clearly giving wrong information. Eventually he used his position and blocked several of us, including me. I liked the forum so much, I got back on with a new screen name and maintained a low profile. In fact I still know some people there and monitor the forum now and then. It's still a very good forum.

Ditched my Towing and Roadside Assistance
five replied to hayesfamily's topic in Roadside Assistance
In the initial post, the OP said it cost $150 a year. I bought a three year contract from GS for less than that. I've needed them twice, once was a RF blow out...they brought a new tire and changed it; the other was last January where, when following the directions given us by the CG, we got stuck...they pulled us out. I'm well ahead....financially. -
MS makes an very nice 5th wheel. It never ceases to amaze me when I see a big, good looking MS, going down the road behind a 3/4 ton truck. But if you ask the driver, "tows great, been doing it for years." Of course his truck is a ton or two over weight, but "tows great."

They are all talk and bluster, but no action. The country would be better off if they would follow through....and leave!

Here is a chart which compares tire sizes. It is very detailed with lots of good information. https://tiresize.com/comparison/

Carl, in AR, you pay the "one time tax" which is the sales tax, at purchase. The PP tax I noted above you pay every year.

Be careful what information you use that comes from the engine manufacturer.....Freightliner/Spartan put the coolant in, not the engine maker.

I was in 1/12 FA when they were formed, early 70s. I returned to Sill in '71 from my second VN tour (105 howitzer first tour, flew a Chinook second tour). Since I was cannon artillery, they didn't want me in a firing battery, so I was the BC of Service Btry.

If your engine has a coolant filter, it will have been put on by Freightliner....my engine does not have that filter. Also, Cummins and Freighlinger will have different standards for maintenance procedures. Freightlinger told me five years or 100,000 miles for changing coolant, which they put in, not the engine manufacturer. My coolant is plain ethylene glycol, with SCA, Freightliner does not put in extended life coolant. I have my transmission fluid tested every year, this year I'm going to have the coolant tested as well. No point in changing either if the chemical analysis comes back good. http://www.jglubricantservices.com/

Who, What, When, Where or Just Lets Talk

Gettysburg is so big with so many skirmishes, you really need a professional (or a Gettysburg hobbyist) to take you around in order to see everything and how everything ties together. As for the ammo, both the 380 and 9mm came after the Civil War. -
Call the county tax assessor, he/she's the one who actually assesses your taxes and to whom you pay. Your motor home (you didn't say which Fleetwood you own) is part of your personal property/ad valorem taxes. Save your pennies, it will be lots more than you think it will be or should be. The only good news is that as the value of your MH decreases each year, if you can call that 'good news,' your tax bill will also go down.

Took on 110.42 gallons at $3.09 a gallon. Taxes are high in Canton, MS, and Loves prices are outrageous. Next time I'll try Regular rather than Super Unleaded.😜

Biocide can usually be found in marine/boat stores as well. I order mine from West Marine on line.

The answer to Richard's question above is I was using the EFS card, not the FMCA card. We saved $70, total bill $340, billed $270. If stopping at a P/FJ, you'll save more by having an Pilot RV Plus card....about seven cents per gallon, rather than earning "points'' with an EFS card.

I have an Acurite Weather Station at home in the back yard. Took it in the MH once, and even though we were staying in the same place for a month....way too much trouble attaching it and leveling it on the rear ladder. As others have noted, much easier, and more accurate, using a phone.
