  1. Welcome to the forum Dan. Unfortunately the OP hasn't been back to update us since May 5, 2016. Do you have any pictures? It would be helpful if you added your coach to your signature. Bill
  2. Let us know how it works out. I can't offer any input as it has ben A LONG TIME since I did any traveling for the AF. What is the status of your repair work on the coach? Bill
  3. I don't see where it would be that hard. You will probably just get the car rate for mileage. The extra travel time may be the only sticking point. Bill
  4. Try looking here: https://www.wiperparts.com/collections/all/rv?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=General - Motor by Auto Type&utm_term=rv wiper motor&utm_content=RV Or here: http://www.midwestbusparts.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=16_315 Bill
  5. You can find my plugs hear. LONGATUDE:-97.4466 LATITUDE: 32.5142. I like the dry film lube over grease as it doesn't attract dirt. I also spray the inserts to protect the wear areas from rusting. Bill
  6. I did the whole fly /RV thing a few years back. In the 3ed week it becomes cheaper to travel by RV over fly and rent cars and stay in hotels. The better the RV the longer it takes to be cheaper. I don't think you would ever hit the cheaper point if you bought a new Elegant Lady. But the tax wright off would be spectacular. Bill
  7. Roland, Yes. one other thing, the type of fittings are different. They look alike but will not plug into the wrong connector. there is a Milton A style and a Milton M style. The M style is the more common in industry. Here is the big BUT you sometimes find the Milton A style on RV and buses. I would look above your generator on the passenger side on the firewall. I would make sure I had a male fitting of matching type of coupler zip tied close to it. Just in case the tow truck has the wrong style fittings he can use it to connect to your air system. Bill
  8. Like Gary said there should be a air chuck in the front (look over the generator) This is used to air up the suspension when being towed. There is a possibility it is just zip tied to some thing and not installed to the system. Ether way there should be a air manifold with a plug you can remove to install one. Bill
  9. Welcome to the forum. There are several people with HR coaches and I bet they will have an answer for you soon. Bill
  10. Now I have to go too. I bet they are more than the $1.39 ea. at E Trailer. Hear is a suggestion if they are loose in your baseplate. You can run a bead of silicone around the plugs under the lip. wipe a little oil or spray the receptacle's with silicone. plug them in and let them set overnight. The silicone should be set up and you can trim off any excess. Or wrap the plugs with a little electrical tape. I could go on but you get the idea. Bill
  11. Thanks for coming back and telling us what the problem was. I am glad it was a simple fix. Bill
  12. I understand you are a rookie, but nearly everyone else on here knows and understands the problems in the industry. The "takeaway" for you is to do your due diligence. Don't give money /sign the paperwork till you are totally happy with the coach. Some dealers will let you spend a couple nights on their place so you can test everything. If they won't just walk away. Bill
  13. Here is anouther source. http://store.amequipment.com/230-series-replacement-parts-c-57.html Bill
  14. Mark, What I am saying once again is it has nothing to do with the quality of the build but on the lack of due diligence by the buyer. The OP posted 3 different versions of his rant about quality. In this one he states "This is our fourth motorhome (two Winnebagos and one National Tradewinds) and is the singular worst RV experience we have ever suffered." One would expect someone who claims to be experienced to 1. do a good PDI or 2. hire someone who can do it. Here's a tip for you, don't sign the final paperwork till you are satisfied everything is correct and you are happy. Bill
  15. That is irrelevant in this case. Go re read his post and what I said. 90+% of what he was complaining about should have been caught on the PDI. Bill
  16. The OP hasn't posted anything here since May 1. I guess we weren't sympathetic enough. Bill
  17. Makes me almost wish the one I changed out was a NO Cold. Bill
  18. When you tried the Battery Boost switch, did you hold it as it is a momentary switch. You have to hold it to make contact and it might take a little while. What is the voltage on the start batteries? Have you checked all the connections and ground? Actually taken the connection apart and cleaned them? Bill
  19. That is the beauty of CO-Pilot you download the maps when you have wifi and then you don't us much data on the road. Bill
  20. Hard to figure why people still buy stand alone GPS map programs/devices. I get as good servise out of CO-Pilot on a bigger display for way less money. I can also use the tablet for outher things besides GPS. Bill
  21. That sounds about right,15 quart pan and a quart in the filter. I double checked my records and I take 16 quarts to. Sad they are working you to sell anouther oil change. Simple job to loosen the drain plug till it leaks let it run for a while then recheck the level. I have pulled the plug out (by accident) and reinstalled it with thee oil coming out. It was a little more messy. Keep us updated. Bill
  22. Have you looked around the storage area for some one with new shiney covers? Probably the same people who think it is funny to pull the lock pins on your towbar. Bill
  23. I don't have a lot of data on Cat. Most of my experience /research is related to Cummins. Here is a good read about EGT http://bankspower.com/techarticles/show/25-Why-EGT-is-Important I have a warning buzzer set for 1400 I have seen 1350 when under load. When I see 1350+ I lift on the throttle or downshift. Bill
