  1. That is why you get a E-ZPass. Saves money and time. It works in most of the North East states. Bill
  2. Check the level of the fluid in the hydraulic fluid reservoir. Someone may have overfilled it. Bill
  3. Yes when I was in the walk in store in NH the lady made a big point of telling me 3 times. "This does not work in Florida" Apparently they have a problem with people understanding that. Bill
  4. Walter & Ernestine, welcome to the forum. Yes Come on down like some others have said I would look at doing a trip where you were in the deep south in the winter months. and the northern states in the summer. Bill
  5. Yes I have found in NE that it is best to stay on main roads to the campground then go explore with the toad. Just beware that summer is road and bridge repair /construction time in that part of the world. I have found several bridges that normally would have been ok for the coach impassable because of road work on them. Luckily I was scouting a route with the toad. Bill
  6. When I got my E-ZPass they explained to me that when the toad is hooked up to the coach to put the toad transponder in the special pouch so it won't read. That way the toad is billed as a "trailer" at a lower rate. There was no extra charge for the transponder for the toad. The toad is billed at a lower rate than the coach so it saves money when driving the toad. In Texas it doesn't matter as it reads both and there is no discount. There is a push to make all the toll roads inter operative on tolls but because of the diversity in equipment it hasn't happened yet. Bill
  7. That valve is/looks like part of the bypass/winterising set up. You are never going to turn the flats you have rounded off on the left side of the valve as they are part of the valve. The "wrenching flats" are there so you can hold the valve while tightening the fitting you are screwing into the valve. I would start with the fitting coming out of the tank to the plastic T there is no way that can be frozen especially as it is a plastic fitting and I can see pipe tape sticking out of the joint. Then to remove the valve I would unscrew the fitting on the right side. Use 2 wrenches one to hold the line and one to turn the valve. Bill
  8. Leon, welcome to the forum. I don't think they do. You can get your East coast E-ZPass online or stop at the first place that has a walk in store. I got my E-ZPass when I was in New Hampshire at a walk in store. https://e-zpassiag.com/about-e-zpass/where-can-i-use-it Bill
  9. I bet the drain line from the refrigerator is the source of your leak or the icemaker waterline. That is where I would start. Bill
  10. I didn't buy a coach to save a few dollars on a trip. I bought it because that is the way I want to travel. I went to Chandler Az this spring I might have saved some money by taking the car and staying in hotels but I doubt it. Who says you have to go straight there and straight home? We spent over a week going and two weeks coming home. With stops in The Grand Canyon, Albuquerque, Santa Fe. and Amarillo. Bill
  11. How old are your tires? Older tires are harder and would tend to be noisier. What preshure are you running? Have you had someone drive alongside the coach (on a 4 lane) and see if they can definitely tell if it is the tires? Bill
  12. I would NEVER take an oversize vehicle into the airport. When you are there look at the buses they are all short wheelbase purpose built. Why not find a RV park in the area. Bill
  13. What about the Doran TPMS 360 RV system? I am seeing mixed reviews on the web. Bill
  14. Hope he found one as this is a old thread. Bill
  15. It's not like you wouldn't notice it. The guy must have been in shock. Bill
  16. Yes, but you are talking Jeep with 4 wheel drive and you also put the transfer case in neutral. Exactly why it is important to follow the manufactuers directions to the letter. Bill
  17. Same old story. When using Chrome. Could see signatures now can't again. Nothing in my profile has changed. It has to be the changes made on the forum to the system. Bill
  18. You have to be ever watchful for low bridges. There is one with little or no real warning on main street in Miles City, Montana 59301. It is only 11'5". I almost got caught and did see someone else with the front of their RV under the edge. I couldn't see if it hit but they were geting the traffic stopped and cleared so he could back up. Never got to stop and didn't see him come into the campground so I don't know if it was damaged. Bill
  19. I feel bad the OP had a problem but that appears to be what happened. Last year when I was up in Montana, the people who pulled in to the campsite next door was having a problem with his toad. I was interested because he had aCR-V like my toad. He was telling me his battery went dead real fast, it only lasted 2-2 1/2houerss. I loaned him my charger and helped him get it unhooked. During the conversation he commented he could see the headlights going dim in his rearview camera. He also stated he ALWAYS put the key in ACC. What he was doing was turning the key all the way off when he turned off the engine and then turned it back past ACC to on. Finally got him to try (with the engine running) just turn the key till the engine shuts off. To double check and see if the headlights/running lights were on. Sometimes it is the simple seaming things that mess you up. Bill
  20. Do you have an inverter in your coach now? Bill
  21. Yes, nice looking place. Not a very good pull through though. Bill
  22. There better be hot water or you will get that "look" all day. Bill
  23. Read carefully what the OP said he did " We follow the guide lines for towing this vehicle to the letter (run engine for five minutes, shift to reverse then to drive then to neutral, leave in acc power) What I copied from the owner's manual. "shift into position D and then into position R before shifting back into position N." The OP was going into N from D not from R as the instructions state. Simple mistake cost 2 transmissions. Bill
  24. Do you have an ice maker in your current refrigerator? If you do the cord from the icemaker is plugged into a circuit from your inverter. The icemaker must have 110 power to work when you are on propane and not hooked to shore power. I ran my propane fridge on propane when driving never a problem. Never found conclusive evidence it was a problem. Don't have it any more as I just installed a residential refrigerator. By the way I am running it using the old outlet for the ice maker behind the refrigerator. Bill
