  1. Well if the OP comes back we might find out. Bill
  2. I don't think there is a limit to how many times you can "touch up" Dicor. However The better way is when you have the down time clean off all the old sealant, prep the surface, mask it off and do a new installation. This way you will get a good bond and no leaks plus it will look better. If it is cracking in the top it may be delaminating from the surface where you can't see it. I haven't used eternabond tape but I don't think it does as neat of a instillation. I would have some for emergency's. Bill
  3. I actually like the wood cutting board idea over just replacing it with the counter material. Bill
  4. Carl fills in for Big Tex at the State Fair of Texas. You should see him in his 10 gallon hat and boots. Bill
  5. The tire place said they sell a lot of them. But like you said some times stuff happens. As an aside, in another thread we were talking about the front wheel bearing seals leaking. Well when I got home I looked at the front tires and they had grease streaks just like a seal leak. I said.... well then I realized it was the grease they "liberally" used on the tire rimes when mounting the new tires. Thank goodness. I don't need any more challenges right now. Bill
  6. Sharon, welcome to the forum. I used a Acme tow dolly for a couple of years to tow a Honda Civic. I had the disk brakes and was happy to have them several times. If you decide to use a dolly I can give you some tips. https://cartowdolly.com/ Bill
  7. Or this one. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f259/ Or this one http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/listings/forum/21 Please feel free to share your wisdom with more likeminded individuals. As you have lamented there just aren't any Class B users active heare. When you go camping print out some applications and recruit other Class B owners to join. Build a chapter of like minded owners. If you can recruit 20 other owners to your chapter then you can hold Rallies and the parks will give you discounts. Go for it. Bill
  8. Jim,Welcome to the forum. I have to say that is one of the most unusual problems that I have heard about on the forum. Do you have a wiring diagram for that area/for your coach? With out hands on trouble shooting everything would be just a guess. Have you tried running this by Tiffin? Who knows-- you might not be the only one to have this problem. Bill
  9. "All of this we can do and enjoy in our lighter foot print Class B...." That is just fine if all you want is just a Class B. Why don't you go camping and give it a rest. I know I am I will be headed to St. Louis to watch the eclipse starting Thursday. I will be taking my class A motorhome that gets about 8.5 MPG and towing my CR-V that gets over 30. I don't care what the cost of fuel I am going. I was traveling a few years ago when Diesel was over $4.50 a gal and only drove 15,000 miles. You can figure out what it cost I DON'T CARE. You keep preaching about how you can go places that class A coaches can't. Please, you obviously haven't had your oversized van in any of the major national parks. You will be just driving around looking for a place to park. I park my coach in a campground and take my toad and still have a hard time finding parking. Just for reference point I was in 12 national parks and 27 states just last year. I think I know what I am saying about parking. One other point. "A large Class A that you live in is like a mobile home on wheels... You still have to pay for fuel, maintenance, long term storage, repairs, insurance, any other costs.. traveling and admission to recreational areas..." How is your B different? Yes I have a mobile condo. I can park it on the coast. East, West Gulf. In the Mountains,.. Bill
  10. They are Triangle. They were on the coach when I bought it. I checked them out and the truck forums didn't have any bad reports other than they were a little hard. I know all the people complaining about Chinese junk but they seamed to work ok. They never lost air or showed any weather checking. Yes they did seam to be a hard tire. but worked ok in the back. They were about 5 years old. I don't have the date codes handy. Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum. If you Love your buggy please add it to your signature. Bill
  12. The tire that failed wasn't a retread. Yes you would have thought the older tire on the front to have problems. Bill
  13. No damage that I could see/so far. It better not be the front with 2 new tires. Bill
  14. Well I went to Cowser Tire & Service 1700 NE LOOP 820, FW Texas and had the 2 front tires installed for $1096.16 basically saved $388.24 over the retail price on 2 each 275/80R22.5 HSLS ECO PLUS Continental's. Every thing went smoothly until I headed home. about 8 miles west on 820 I heard such a clatter and pulled over to see what was the matter. Well one of my 5 year old inside duels had thrown a bunch of tread. So I drove slowly back to Cowser. They ordered 4 more tires but they won't be in till Monday. They were nice enough to install a "loaner" tire of the right size (NO CHARGE) so I could go home and back Monday. So the saga continues. Bill It still has lots of tread in some places. Bill

    Good Drive Tire

I had some time today so I asked the manager at the tire store about your tires. He basically said to go with the all position /steer tiers that are listed as in the program like the CONTINENTAL 275/70R22.5, HSR2 SA or the Coach HA3. As an aside he didn't think he could get the FMCA discount on the Conti Hybrid HD3. So now you know what one dealer thought. Bill

    Good Drive Tire

The snow was off the road at the Canyon but later in Amarillo I did stay parked for a couple days because of road conditions. No it isn't my coach as I didn't go out to take pictures of my coach. Keep in mind this was 30 May. Bill

    Good Drive Tire

What size? I try not to be driving in ice and snow.
  18. Welcome to the forum. I believe you are asking about the cables used to operate the dump valves, right? Did you have one break? Are they just hard to operate? It makes it easier if you add your coach to your signature, look at carl's and T Butler. Bill
  19. Nice coach, You should add it and some other info to your signature. I looked up on the Michelin site and the XRV in 19.5 is speed rated at 75 mph. By the way do you know about the date codes and the general rule of only keeping tires 7 years? Bill
  20. One of the problems is if you are towing a toad it may have speed restrictions. My CR-V is it is limited to 65 mph when being towed. Are you clear now on the different letter codes? One is weight and the other is speed. I don't know of a 22.5 tire rated over 75 mph. What size tires do you run? Bill
  21. Yes thank you and welcome to the forum. Bill
  22. Well we will see I just had them order 2 load range H for the front. Will be having them installed Friday. I will up date my experiences later. Bill
  23. I would never want you to stop being you. The issue is availability of tires in load range G, I can get them in load range H. Just wondering how much stiffer/harsher they would be. Bill
