Found this inside my Onan generator

Without the make and model year of the butt It will be hard to give accurate advise. Bill -
Well depending on condition it should be a nice coach. For reference a new Essex base/starting price is $954,555. Check all the basics like tire dates and if you don't feel comfortable I would hire a inspector. You are going to have to change your name to Essexmike. 😉 Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to reports on the Canyon Star 3927, great RV. We were in Vegas in Dec and stayed at the Oasis. https://www.oasislasvegasrvresort.com/index.htm If you are headed to Arizona. You might want to plan on going to FMCA's 104th International Convention & RV Expo in Tucson. https://www.fmca.com/fmca-event-registration We plan on being there. Where in Texas are you headed? Bill

Must have typed it in wrong because I got a pull behind. Well there are still air bags Bill

I agree but "need" is a very subjective thing. Bill

Welcome to the forum. Just wondering why you need more ground clearance? Any way you might find this informaative. https://www.etrailer.com/faq-raise-travel-trailer-height.aspx Bill

It would depend on what store you bought from. I don't waste time trying to guess/look up what the sales tax is. You are talking about $60.00 a gallon and I am talking about a equivalent oil at $19.47 and you are worried about the sales tax? Bill

You might be interested in this site. https://quickserve.cummins.com/info/index.html And this one. https://www.allisontransmission.com/parts-service/my-transmission Allison has recently come out wit a improved fluid over the older TES 295 it is TES 668 you can read about it on the site I linked to. The Cummins site is the same one the dealer looks at to get information about your engine. Bill

110 electric 12/2 line replacement
wildebill308 replied to EY8675@GMAIL.COM's topic in Type A motorhomes
Don't know but I would use a meter and "ring" out the circuit. Test the outlets on both sides of that outlet and make shure the GFI is good. Follow the circuit back and check the circuit breaker. Bill -
At home in North Richland Hills for now. We were through Quartzsite Dec 14. Bill

We have a couple threads talking about oil. If I have to I will go with Mobil Delvac Extreme Heavy Duty Full Synthetic. It is comparable to the T-6 and in stock at $19.47 gal. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mobil-Delvac-Extreme-Heavy-Duty-Full-Synthetic-Diesel-Engine-Oil-15W-40-1-Gal/319665447 If you find T-6 I need 16 gallons! Only drawback with a ISX600.. Carl that is a lot of oil.😁 I would recommend the Mobil Delvac to you to if you don't find the T-6 at a descent price.

110 electric 12/2 line replacement
wildebill308 replied to EY8675@GMAIL.COM's topic in Type A motorhomes
Carl I think he is just talking about the 110 wire to the wall outlet that is in the slide. Do you have any wiring diagrams? What makes you think the outlets are on the same circuit? With the slide out look for wiring bundles under the slide. Bill -
Who is charging $60.00 a gallon? Carl, I use to think my 5,9 ISB held lots of oil. 16 quarts now seams minor to my current ISM that holds 40 quarts. Isn't that what yours holds? I am going to pull a sample and see how it looks before I change mine. Walmart still shows' T6 for $23 but out of stock. I might change and use Mobil Delvac Extreme if I have to. They are showing it in stock for $19.47. Yes that is as bad as I-30 was from the state line to Littlerock. Bill

What I see are drivers who don't know how to drive a big rig. I have more problems with slow traffic and construction. Does anyone know if they are ever going to finish the Raton Pass project? tcisodar, What coach were you looking at? Bill
-
I don't see a problem. The key is does it meets or exceeds the requirements of API CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 PLUS, CI-4 and CH-4 service categories and it does. I hope you don't have a problem finding oil where you are. One more thing that sesames to be in short supply. I have been looking for Shell Rotella T-6 and everyone is out of stock. Bill

Ok, inquiring minds want to know what you were looking at. Did you go buy the NIRVC area? Bill

That should have thee 6 speed transmission and should be fine. The only negative I have heard is some of the older fords tended to down shift to soon. That can be fixed. Bill

These are always interesting threads as most advocate for what they have. First question, what is wrong with the RV that you have? Are you still in St Petersburg Fl.? I would have been up to the RV supper show in Tampa to look at all the new toys. You said "I have seen articles of you don’t use diesel a lot you have problems." Well this can be true with the fuel blended with Biodiesel. It will degrade faster than strait diesel #2. But the same thing can happen with gas coaches with the alcohol blend. Both can be controlled with the proper additives. With gas or diesel you should run the generator under load for 2 hours each month. So no real disadvantage either way. I wouldn't start either type of coach unless you can drive it for about 50 miles or so to get everything warmed up. Well I think you are looking for justification to move up to a diesel coach.😉 I would look at a hire level used coach. Save some money and have most of the bugs worked out. Bill
