  1. Your MB 330 is similar to the C7 CAT, but where as the CAT produces 850 torque, yours does 1,000 ft. lb. of torque, so you should have no problems! Happy Trails!
  2. Is it the Inverter, or is the beep from fridge? If the fridge looses it's air tight seal, you'll get on/off beep! Engine charges start batteries, generator or shore power charges house batteries.
  3. I totally agree with all of you! We will be home & we fly the US Flag and the Texas Flag every day! Normally at this time of the year, we are in the Mountains somewhere. Last year for the 4th, we where in a Campground on the Gaspe Peninsula, Canada, with 27 other coach's, 2 of them from Vancouver Isl, BC...We all flew Old Glory and first sang the National Anthem, Followed by Oh Canada! No one was offended and the whole Park joined in!
  4. Rich, that's one good reason to study, all your toggle switches location and function, before you engage gear and go! Hunt and peck at 60+ mph is not a good thing!!! If you don't have a Owners Manual of Engine, Chassis and Coach, in most cases it's available on line!
  5. OK, I stand corrected. Have never had to order new shocks, so had no idea about the warehouse! Thanks.
  6. Cliff, if you are or where happy with the Bilstein's, then get a new set. Contact Bilstein direct, they probably have them or they can advice you on a replacement. Airbags are probably by Firestone. One shock does not fit all XC chassis. Engine # will tell what year the chassis is. VIN# is for build date of coach. Not uncommon for engine to be a different age than chassis and chassis to be older than coach!
  7. I think we lost the OP Saturday and after reading this again, I can well understand why! FIVE. It's not the wrong Forum, just half of it is in the wrong part of the correct Forum! My Bad, Sorry! Wish we could move the last 18 hours to General Discussion.
  8. Ian, and we like the same beer & campground on PEI. 😃
  9. Moonwink, thanks. I looked it up and learned something new...not everyone has Air Brakes.
  10. Rolling wheels, weight and inertia, makes for some interesting moments on Steep down grades! I have pulled over in the truck brake check area on more than a couple of times! Safety First.
  11. From 1976 to 1990, my wife and I, spent most summers on the Cape & since she was from Lebanon, NH, we did a lot of off the beaten path travel in our 24' - 34' coaches, other than the 24', we had a toad in rear & 2 Honda 80cc in front on a custom built rack. We did get in a bind once, in NH, a RR underpass, that was over a foot lower than the coach! 90% of the hills where a lot of curves, short and steep! Same with Vermont. We was not crazy, so we took the toad on the Appalachia Trail and Blue Mountains. If I'm in a time constraint, I use the Interstate, otherwise US Hwy's or secondary roads! I figure if a OTR or Box truck can go, then I can also. Natchez Trace is another favorite road. RSBILL, your right about Lake City and along with the Million Dollar Hwy! Going to Estes Park is no walk in the woods either!
  12. A388666. Just out of curiosity, why not change the A# for a F#, now that you have a coach?
  13. WBill. Independence Pass, Wolf Pass, Lizard Pass and I-70 East bound are a few that come to mind. RSBILL, Joe has made the run a few times. I do think he's happier now, than in his "C"! I still think a Super "C" is a better choice!
  14. Joe, in my case the line had busted at fitting and no fluid in tank.
  15. RayIN, yes it can do some damage, but far less than the Generator coming out at 35 mph on a panic stop into the car ahead, that's a lot of inertia! Or even with no car ahead in it's way!
  16. Unless your in some backwater countries, you'll always have a signage that gives the % of incline for the downward grade ahead. Some coaches have a high engine brake and some have high & low. Last year in a coach with a Cummins 425 HP, I used Low for the first time ever...27% grade down, low is running on 2 cylinders in 2nd gear, then 1st gear! High is 4 cylinders and you can start in 4th gear...again, as Bill asked, what engine HP or Model Tiffin do you have?
  17. Bill, back then you did not get fake leather furniture! You name it, you could have it, for a price. Yea, 4 leg toy! LOL
  18. Nice! 99% of RV owners don't realize that you can blow as much money on a 5'er and tow as you can on a DP coach and toad! I have a dear friend in NE Texas, his wife and one of the two daughters are into horses, they both have their own 5'er that holds 2 horses and 40 foot living quarters, just the trailers alone was $1.3 million, built by Newell trailer Div. in 2012 (they don't do trailers anymore)! 2 years ago, he bought 2 Volvo Tractors custom built, with auto tranny. Extreme end of the choices! Have not heard anything bad about yours & they seem to be well built.😃 Happy Trails and keep the rubber side down!
  19. Kodiak007. Welcome to the Forum! 😃
  20. 4,207 lbs is a lot of weight. You probably have a 5,000 lb hitch, but that is no guarantee that you can tow 5,000 lbs. look on the rear axle it will have a stamp in kilos or pounds telling you what it's rated for. That would include weight of coach in rear when loaded, so if you weigh your coach, when ready for travel, then subtract from axle stamp and it will give you what weight you can tow max! Nothing allowed for safety...
  21. mikemontg. Welcome to the Forum! As for the NSA, never heard off it. Most common is, Roadmaster, Blue Ox and Delco. First you need to know the weight off the GMC, then how much can the Vista when fully loaded for travel, tow? I did not know that a AWD can be towed 4 wheels down! I have seen way to many WB Vistas tow too heavy a vehicle.
  22. Ian, that was my reason in 1967...I was given a First Issue and a July 67' issue! We still got them! Since Linda (my new wife) is a member of both FMCA and Escapees, we use the extra copies to leave in Laundry rooms at RV Parks, all over North America. We also take out what we might need in the future, 2 binders, one for Tech Talk & one for interesting places to see...that's from the extra copy! Since we traded in both of our DP's, for one and got married, Linda is retiring her F# and Escapees, we will travel on mine. We will still do the above! As Ross said, there is no saving on Staff, either way! FMCA is non profit, FMC is for profit. For most, it's confusing! Wayne, too true!
  23. brocki, probably won't take more than an hour to fix & get new LP put in! I can't speak for everyone on this thread, but I wish your friends daughter, a speedy recovery! 🙏
  24. You could also drive the rig to a LP store & have them check things out...could be that you don't have the 80% regulator (see Kay's reply), or it was not purged before fill up! I put my $$ on the regulator.
