  1. Brett. That is the first time I have heard, that such a law even exits in any state. Why then, would FMCA have a annual reunion in such an environment? Members and non-members travel from all over, at great expense, to see as many new coaches and vendors as possible, in one location. As a member, I have 2 main reasons to be at a reunion, one is for the fellowship and the other is to be able to buy! As a National Director for SWG INTO, it's an obligation. Sorry, but I'm not a believer in PC! Steve, don't take it as a personal attack on your State or you! Carl
  2. We are not a truck. Then again, a motorhome can't stop as fast as a car! The mass of my 45' DP, dictates how fast I feel comfortable at any given condition. The speed limit above 65 means nothing to me...in Texas, most rural roads are 70 or 75 for both cars and trucks, I-10 in West TX. is 80! We do not differentiate between hauling a trailer/toad or not. I tend to set my cruise control at 63, because I'm not in a hurry to get anywhere! If I was, I would fly! California's Interstates if your towing = 55 max. There probably are other states, with the same restriction! Stay safe out there...
  3. Good morning Brad. For the latest update: http://fire.ca.gov/ Have a safe trip!
  4. I have and like Blue Sky. You can find them via goggle. Low rates, vanishing deductible, great coverage including windshield. Since they don't advertise, they can keep the rates low.
  5. OK everybody. I stand corrected and have no difficulty in admitting that I was wrong! Information in, information out...I should have checked it out and didn't until now. I apologize for that! Carl
  6. Tom538. Was your RV Park stay at Cross Road? Carl
  7. Herman. I had mine serviced in January and it's working fine so far. I was wondering about the seals and internal components-- if higher than B-10 would have an adverse affect. I'm heading for Panama the 9th of Oct. Cruise from LA to Puerto Rico!

    I26

John. I was on it 2 years ago and other than construction, lots of traffic, twists, turns and up/down hills, I had no problem. Just take it easy, every car and 18 wheeler thought they where a sports car! Luck Carl
  9. bandorr2000. Welcome to FMCA and the Forum. What kind of DP and why, please! Happy traveling
  10. Nice to learn something new about FMCA! Thanks, Tammy! Carl

    Firestone RV Tires

Toyo, Good Year, BF Goodrich should be OK to use. There is also, Kelly Tire,,,,as long as the ply rating is enough for the weight of your coach and steel belted. Good luck.
  12. Check for a Tile only shop, flooring shop or via FMCA, Monaco Club. If that doesn't work, I like Kay's idea!
  13. jeepman. Welcome to our Forum. Kay's got the answer, not me. No thanks, I got my own roof junk!!! Carl

What kind of coach do you have? DP with 22.5 or gas?
  15. Herman. No question is a dumb question. I fill my coach on the side (like fuel) and have found that it must be low pressure, or it backflows. Takes about 15 minutes for 70 gals or 3/4 tank. I have a by-pass switch on my city water hook up, it doesn't work...still on list off small things to do! Have a great day! Carl
  16. We have covered Biodiesel and it's affect on our DP's. Has anyone done a study on it's affect on Aqua Hot system? Carl
  17. Herman. Why RV Salvage? Is that where the ghosts of RV's on Hwy. 62 go?
  18. Hi Jones and welcome to the Forum! Because I'm not a Chemist, I don't use house hold items in my plumbing system! Our system is made off materials that you don't find in a home. Galvanic reaction, I know. Chemical, not. Pinesol is a floor cleaner. Carl
  19. kay, I did not have Genie at the time. 4 separate receivers and I took the one from my garage. Worked great at the time. Now I have a useless DISH on roof, should have stuck with Direct! Next week I'll be getting a portable from CW and it will have DTV. Where I spend August in CO. a roof mount does me no good and park cable is 4 channels. Like you, I'll pay the $5 bucks, since now I have a Genie at home! Use rabbit ears in garage...LOL Carl
  20. If you have more than one receiver at home, use it in RV when your traveling!
  21. I would get something to just cover the hole, but still have access to joint if you need to get to it....rubber gasket and a round or square piece of carpet.
  22. Tiffin does not test TV's. Reason for LG, that is the best price they got for 1,000 or more units. Goes for all manufacturers out there!!! Some high end coaches will let you make the choice...friend does not like Sony, so they put in a Bang & Olafson, 46", $10,000 in a Prevost. Google B & O, it's unreal the tests it goes thru! When I had my 07' Tour 40KD, I had the 1 Ton Sony replaced with a 46" Vizio LTD. A hydraulic lift system was manufactured, when not in use, it lay flat against the celling and it free hung when in use. 57,000 miles later, no problems! Old cabinet became the holder off maps, FMCA magazines and disks. Carl
  23. Portable, about $300-400, roof mount $2,400 installed + whatever you need to do for K band. Most rv parks have cable and more channels than I need! I have Direct at home and starting to hate it! 285 channels and 50% of them are infomercials. Bah! Carl
  24. I would think that would be lower...do you have any mechanical schematic off chassis? Owners manual should show dash, steering, etc., you could also try to google for a parts manual off cassis! If you cut it off and need to replace it, pull it tight or use a plumbers rubber sleeve that is slit in half length wise and hold it in place with 2 worm gears. Luck...
