Not quite, I have seen many International sold blocks and 7.2L CATS with a cavatation problem from no SCA's. CAT's less often until the 07 emissions engine came out. Very problematic on older International diesels, especially their V8's. To your point I have never heard of a solid block (Cummins 5.9 or 6.7L) with this problem. To add and maintain SCA's on an engine is cheap and simple, not to can be expensive and foolish, said another way "cheap insurance".

Suggestions on best hose from holding tanks
jleamont replied to ktconners's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
You should smell what the Amish farm next to us sprays on his fields in a few weeks. My water hoses and filter get looped together, not sewer. -
Another one, we've only had one, despite what the news predicted. The rest were a joke. Weather predicted high winds....10-15 mph was the worst of it, that's a normal day up here in farm country.

Tim, I understand your position. I would take it to a Cummins dealer (As recommended above) and have it redone. Antifreeze is so critical in an engine its just not worth the risk. Where are you located?

Suggestions on best hose from holding tanks
jleamont replied to ktconners's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
I keep mine in the fuel tank bay in these tubes they have a slope and a hole on the floor in that bay so any liquids will drain out. I simply open the door grab the main hose and pull it out of the tube on the driver side. -

X2 on Rhino, ours is 10 years old this year. The one thing I absolutely love, you can use it compressed and it holds its shape! some when water enters they will expand and jump all over the place. If in an expandable track to help descend most will jump out or flip over. i bought a red Valterra, it reminded me of the snake in a can it would jump all over the place once water entered it. I gave it away after the 2nd use. -
Tomorrow I've got to scrub it down, coach outside is filthy. By tomorrow night I'll be antsy

Five, that's interesting! The cam lock made sense, not that I've ever had a bayonet problem...well once I missed 1/2 of the lugs, good thing it was gray water , hit me in the chest like a fire hose...where's Herman, I bet he has a shirt . Honestly it just looked too bulky (besides too expensive) and I see no need for the valve on one end when the other end is open.

It does store nice, it also stays together well when flowing liquid through it. I had a Valterra for a very short time, I didn't like it, when you would open the valve on the coach it would jump out of the slinky and dance around, then I would loose my down hill flow. I gave it away! Pulled my old hose out and put it back in service. I love the blue ones that just push together, every time I see one and someone about to open a valve, grab a beer, free entertainment is about to begin THIS ONE http://www.prestofit.com/BluelineRVSanitation.html

No experience with that hose, although i did consider upgrading one day. My concern was cutting the outlet and installing a different connection. I have this hose and another 15' section. Its 10 years old now with no issues. https://www.amazon.com/Camco-RhinoFLEX-Translucent-Frustration-Free-39770/dp/B01HPHR2M4

I have the same model Surgeguard, no issues with the unit, its 4 years old and has saved us several times. I run EEZtire system. Had a Tire Minder, tossed the entire system into the trash last year. I have heard their later model is better, after my experience it wouldn't make a difference, their customer support was also terrible. TPMS is a great investment, but more importantly it has to operate in a way it makes sense, the older tire minder I had didn't do that. I had such a bad experience with Tire Minder I called EEZ Tire and spoke to their engineer, interrogated him for a good 15 minutes, he assured me I would not have those problems gave me his cell phone number if I did . Never called him, system is a year old now and works great! This is our 3rd TPMS in 10 years, I had Pressure Pro 1st, great system but the sensors were expensive when they needed batteries. https://www.eezrvproducts.com/

The fact that its green is interesting as Safety Kleen doesn't make a "green" colored coolant. Yellow or Red are the only options. https://www.safety-kleen.com/products-services/products/antifreeze-and-windshield-washer-fluid/antifreeze Any idea what color was in it before you took it over? I have to agree with the comment above Sounds like they put regular automotive coolant in it. I haven't stumbled upon any coolant for Diesel Truck application that was colored green, not in 17+ years. I have heard of shop's putting automotive coolant in Diesel engines (particularly smaller ones) and adding SCA additives. Get yourself a coolant test kit in strips, dip and see if it has adequate Diesel SCA protection (#1 concern). That will tell you right away if its adequate, then you will still need to know whats in it, maybe take a sample and send it out to a lab, they cn usually tell you what it is. Lab example; http://www.titanlab.com/why-titan-labs/

Rhino Flex barbed end has come apart at swivel connection

TT, same hose we run, ours is 10 still works like new. I just bought replacement o rings for the quick connect on the end, that just started to leak last season. Not all CG's have threaded pipes for sewer, I have a set of Sewer weights to keep it on the hole. -
Mine isn't being towed, it's pushing the coach . Sorry, devil made me do it
-
Probably screwed in from behind. Do you have access?
-
Yeah, I saw that. It had a sheet with all of the previous locations and dates before on a tab along with the attendance information listed.
-
Can you attach a photo? Usually fog on the inside is a bad seal, either from the socket or the lens where its seamed.
-
I have faith in you Kay, you could build something to incorporate your coach for water.

TT, hope you got the answer you were looking for.....
