Poor Quality Picture when connected to cable at docking connection
jleamont replied to 419Bailey's topic in Electronics
419Bailey Welcome to the Forum.... again... Also check if you have a switch box to change the incoming signal source, make sure that it is set properly and the connections on the rear are tight, they can rattle loose while driving. -

ULSD attacks rubber and it appears to pull the oils from it causing it to dry out, this has been a nightmare since its release on older engines creating fuel leaks.

Agreed! IMHO The founding family acknowledged the complexity and differences within a motorhome and its intended purpose. Lets face it, there is a lot more to a motorhome than a trailer and there is also differences in the lifestyle, not always but... at least in my 10 years of experience anyway. I wont get into a long dissertation on the differences so as not to hijack this thread. -
hmm, i do run the AH and generator monthly, so fuel is moving all winter

That is the moral of the entire story here, well said! This post just brought the continued frustrations from within its members. We also camp often with Trailer people, I don't look down upon them. They chose what they have as it suites their needs, our motorhome suites ours, around the fire no one cares. -
Just had a problem with ours that seemed much worse than it was and figured i'd share it. The burner would ignite, run and the RPMs would fluctuate up and down and it would blow blue smoke when the RPM's would drop the burner would stall and reignite all the while it sounded like marbles rattling around inside the burner. Posted on Rogers's forum, he suggested fuel delivery problem. The filter is new so I got to thinking internal fuel pump? Na that's only 6 years old. I was just about to rig up a vacuum gauge to see if the pump was actually sucking or not when it dawned on me to do a thorough inspection of the fuel delivery system. I Started to check the area around the fuel filter and found the supply line from the fuel tank to the filter collapsed internally, it actually had a dent in it and the line was hard as a rock. Swapped out the fuel line and the system is operating normally once again. I am so thankful Monaco's fuel tank is easily accessible, it took me maybe 15 minutes to replace the hose. Guess ill be replacing the fuel line from the filter to the AH unit and the generator fuel supply line also this spring fortunately they are all easily accessible. This ULSD Diesel is really becoming a PIA . First it took out the coach engine lines in 2014, now the AH fuel lines in 2018

Can you take a picture and post it? I use the same hose and it threads onto the couplings, I believe it's left handed thread. -

Rob, you will need to access the rear of the fans. Usually there are two per heat exchanger. They look like computer fans each fan is independent of the other, just share the same wiring coming in. Once behind it use your volt meter to check for power. As mentioned just make sure you are set to on for that specific zone. What year make and model coach do you have? Mine is separate from the roof top heat/A/C controls with three individual thermostats and a separate switch for heated floor. -
If they were in GA they weren't having a Philly Cheese steak .
-
Mine was a 98' and Coachmen stripped all sound deading material that Ford had installed at the factory. Why...who knows? I reinstalled it and additional huge difference and a drastic heat reduction.

I missed the brand that was being considered. I looked into this with Xantrex to upgrade ours, new one is just plug and play. I wouldn't change brands. Unless you were going up, not down.
-
If it were me I would do the upgrade to PSW.

2007 Monaco Cummins ISC does not shut down when turning off ignition?
jleamont replied to rameller's topic in Electrical
You do not have a fuel shut off solenoid externally, that would be on an Pre 1998 engine. Yours is internal to the fuel injection pump. You should have a fuse and relay to cut power to the injection pump, if you pull it and its still running you either have a short (not likely) or power back feeding as mentioned in the post above this from Frank. I would call Cummins with your engine serial number to find out how it is supposed to operate. Cummins; 1-800-343-7357 -

Leroy, I have this one installed on our coach. Much more cost effective than the original muffler; https://www.magnaflow.com/products?partnumber=12774 The Aeroflow mentioned above was my first choice, but at the time the availability wasn't there.

I have heard of this being a problem for some. I cannot imagine how it would be warranty, its not a defect just a lack of attention to detail on the consumers side. You go up in altitude you should deflate the bed or it could POP. I guess for some if your number is lower it wouldn't matter, but mine is 85, for me I would think it would need to be deflated before climbing a mountain.
