Good to know! How was it otherwise, everyone have a good time?
-
Obedb, try a RV salvage yard, see if they have a pair you can purchase. I am sure you can retro them into your coach.
-
Yea, but I'd take a Detroit Diesel over an ISX any day. I'd live with the Freighliner chassis just for that engine. If the ISX had a better track record I'd sway the other direction.

Obed, not much has changed, now all the plastic breaks and when it rains outside you can fill your mug on the inside

$2450 (total) Mostly parts. When the hood tilts and you can walk up to it...life is good!

Yea, he has to be soaked by now. He is somewhere around Raystown PA. It's pouring here! Plus if he broke down I would have heard his DW screaming by now Turbo job done, new innercooler also, delivered back. Ran good!

Nope, another International product . Common on them, usually I have to pull the exhaust and hunt for that! The photo is today's project. Doug fixed his up and headed for the Mountains in PA yesterday, I guess he got there, no phone calls .

Obedb, the last thing you want to see when you have no boost is this; Shaft broke in the turbo
-
I was going to ask you if you were really trying to get the point across . With all of the problems going on with this website lately I'm not surprised.

I have had people mix different antifreeze types and create sludge in a cooling system, crystals are a new one. With the amount of different antifreeze products on the market today you can really do some serious damage to a cooling system with the wrong coolant, crystals wouldn't surprise me one bit, chemicals are chemicals. Maybe someone added DEF to it , I had a driver fill his washer tank with it

Oh yea...he passed but the examiner told him he should work on merging faster into traffic

Ok, I rode shotgun on Saturday with a friend so he could get his class B NON CDL in PA. His 2005 Tiffin Allegro Bus blew the turbo cold air charge pipe between the turbo and the intercooler during the road test portion of his test . I attempted to rig it before we made the 15 mile journey home, no such luck, needless to say our top speed was 10MPH on any incline and 35 on the flats. If your turbo isn't working you will know it I videoed the trip up I-176 coming out of Reading PA laughing the entire time (if anyone is familiar with that hill) I could have walked faster than we pulled that hill I even offered to get out and help push, no need to stop and let me out....

Just a tad bit of a distance issue
-
That's a new one!
-
Herman, that was going to be a topic of discussion
-
Bill the sad part.....they pulled the generator and sent it out for repair and all it probably needed was a new belt
-
WOW.... We also live in PA, closer to DE. I cant think of anyplace to camp for free other than wallydocking (Walmart) . Even that out here probably has some sort of crazy tax to go along with it or a sign that says its illegal to do so. We boondocked at Assateague Island in MD in the National Park side a few years ago. But it does come with a cost that is much cheaper than a local campground (average camp site is over $100.00 per night), they have defined sites with no hookups.

4downings, Welcome to the FMCA forum! We are in a similar situation, I am 45 wife is 47, kids are 15 and 17. We struggle to find families especially with motorhomes. We are mostly weekend warriors and 3 weeks a year vacation trips someplace farther from home. Keon above is close to us in MD, meeting up with him and his family in two weeks, where are you located?

MAX A/C is supposed to be Recirculate. My dash A/C works decent, it will keep me cool and the DW's feet frozen . When I switch to the Generator and turn on the roof tops I shut off the dash A/C. I also get little heat from the engine inside, especially after reinsulating the engine bay with this stuff. http://www.jegs.com/i/Thermo-Tec/893/13590K/10002/-1 My insulation was peeling, so I replaced it with thicker stuff. Installed with stainless pop rivets and fender washers.

Have a bunch of fun on the trails, you never drove with me...... I rode dirt bikes as a kid, I have no fear off road, 400 hp would accelerate that.
