  1. cthiggy, the RV industry in general today is sadly this way, it started to fall apart in 2006-2007. Holiday Rambler when owned by Monaco (not REV, now) was a great company and built some of the best coaches on the market before you stepped up into the custom class. Today its a name that another company purchased. Hopefully the dealer will resolve your problems fast so you can hit the road and enjoy you coach.
  2. Welcome, nice looking coach! That has got to be the first Endeavor with full paint I have ever seen. Did you do the 302 conversion to the Bronco? I have a friend with a 1988 2wd Ranger with a 400 hp 302 (well, 305 now), that thing is a blast to ride in.
  3. Looks great! keep enjoying it. If you need some campgrounds on the other side of PA, DE or MD for a getaway PM me. We live in the Southeaster part of PA.
  4. Being the coach is so new, If it were me I would take it back to the dealer and ask them to contact REV and come up with a solution. A problem like this is a total engineering blunder that should not have happened. We see it way to often with newer coaches where access with the slides closed causes a problem with access lack of heat or A/C. This isn't a cheaper low end product, 44' DP had to have a pretty salty price tag, suffering from heat while driving would be unacceptable to me. I would arrange a meeting with your dealer and discuss with them. One thought; Some older coaches had vents at the fresh air intake in the center of the unit in the roof, if you closed that off it forced the air through the ducted vents. Sounds like that would solve your problem, not ideal but one solution.
  5. trialdog, welcome to the FMCA Forum! With the roof tops on does any air trickle down the slides to the interior? What make and model coach do you have?
  6. I read that also, that opened up a bunch of questions that are a bit concerning. Also explains a lot!
  7. Since we are part timers we are usually happy in the coach. When we had our C we would argue on occasion, I would yell to her, she would ask why I'm so loud, I talk softer...what did you say I can't here you . With the DP if my breathing changes she hears it. Eat beans....well she hears that also

    Mattress

We have a Denver Mattress Euro King in our coach currently, its so horrible we have cut back trips this year. I am actually considering sleeping on the floor . I called them and emailed to get rid of it after we purchased it, never called us back, stuck with it now. Not sure what to do moving forward, its that unbearable! DW likes soft and squishy, I need firm for my back, not sure what's with this mattress but neither of us can get a decent nights sleep on it. We have a sleep number at home, works great! For the coach they are $3000. not going to happen anytime soon, just too expensive!
  10. yes they are air horns. I have them mounted between the step well and the bumper facing forward. They will get your attention.
  11. Carl, good point in the overall length thought. Some you can spin the seats around but it still doesn't help much especially if you are tall. I truly don't like the cab mounting vs body mounting in a Class C. One fights the other and who wins, well we find that out down the road as it ages, either way your wallet looses. I do like the ease of engine access and simplicity over a DP. Renegade I believe has a floating cab that is not attached to the body directly like most class C coaches. Plus the front suspension is usually spring, not air like a DP, some DPs are air bags with springs also behind the axle, depending on who's chassis is under it.
  12. I have a friend with a Dynamax, no issues with quality. That or Renegade would be my ONLY super C choices. Jayco was bought out, I have heard their quality dropped, and wasn't great before. They done a decent job in their standard trailer the J-flight I think it was called, beyond that I haven't heard much positive. Maybe someone else can chime in with more experience.
  13. Mark, Welcome to the Forum! Blake is pretty much on with my thoughts, as far as brands, with your budget I would look toward the higher end of coaches. Foretravel, Travel Supreme, Prevost, Newell. Age; around 2006 and older will keep you safe with quality and no emissions engines. Length, we are at 41'2" now no tag. Coach handles great, no wandering but with each chassis manufacture this will vary, as a rule of thumb a tag coach will handle better but have less under storage unless you go long (45'). Motorhomes of Texas is a great place to look.

    TV Outlets

That's a start. shut all power to the coach down aka, pull the shore plug and keep the generator off, start pulling outlets in close proximity and inspect. I had a bad outlet once and the wires broke off the back, nothing worked down stream either.
  15. Interesting....good thing there are others out there in case they fall apart.
  16. Just saw this....hope it went well for all!
  17. Lyle, glad you both are safe! It seems like everywhere you turn another Norcold goes up, more lately than ever it seems. We almost lost our coach in August 2014 (three months after purchasing it used), I got it out before any loss occurred, just some wallpaper damage behind the fridge. That was one heck of a stress test that day.

    Hydralift

That looks like a bunch of work to unhook the toad and lower the cart, I can see all of the supports to spread the load for the toad tow bar.

    TV Outlets

Jim, Shut down all 120v power to the coach, remove the outlet and look at it closely, RV are know to be built with low budget outlets, could just be a bad outlet.
  20. Yes they will. Its not too bad to have done, circa 2008 I wrote instructions on how to do it as the fleet we had at the time was equipped with those engines and the chassis manufacture didn't offer the switch, they thought it wasn't needed. I'll see if I can dig it up, the engine harness had the wires for the lights and switch coming off of the ECM, but they ended at the firewall bulkhead on the Freightliner and Ford, maybe you will get lucky and it does the same on a coach.
