I tried to tug on it and see if it moved in the bathroom, no such luck. Monaco loves wire loom and wire loom anchors that are usually screwed to something. Its great to protect them, horrible when you need to pull new wires or air lines through. My bathroom fan is on the passenger side of the coach and my kitchen is on the drivers side, only 3' toward the refrigerator and 3' back is the bathroom. Here's the interior, if you look up you can see daylight, that is the kitchen fan hole. walk through the door way toward the back and turn left is the Bathroom where the other fan is located. What's odd is the wires come into the fan box on the kitchen counter side, you would think if they were actually coming from the bathroom they would come into the box on that side. DD, ground is good! I connected my Power Probe and checked both sides of the circuit, when I sent power to the positive wire the fan controller turned on. I wish it was a ground problem, that would be easy to rerun. Rich, both fans are on the same fused circuit according to the wiring diagram I have and the fuse panel is labeled as such. "Bathroom and Kitchen fans 12VDC, Fuse #4, 15 Amp" is how its labeled and one wire coming out for power off of the fuse box. I think when I get home I will see if I can snake my bore scope into the hole where the wires come through and see what's up in the ceiling and where those wires go.

My exhaust fan in the kitchen lost the power side of its circuit. The only two items on this circuit are the bathroom fan and kitchen fan, bathroom works. I pulled the shrouds down and there's a black wire (hot) coming off of the bathroom fan which I can only assume it goes across the ceiling to the kitchen, however the positive wire in the kitchen is red, which tells me there is a splice somewhere. So in a traditional RV build would the wire go across the ceiling in a tunnel? If so how do you access it? I have pulled all lighting fixtures down to see and they all dead end in a wooden box just above. We have a vinyl ceiling does that come down for access or would it be damaged? I thought about opening up the wood between the vinyl and the roof (6" deep, just cut a hole) where the shroud slides up and taking a peek to see where the wires go. If I lightly pull them I can hear what sounds like a butt connector slapping in the top side of the ceiling. Thought?

Which Outlet To Use For Residential Refrigerator
jleamont replied to OLDMARINE's topic in Modifications
Ray, you should be fine on that inverter as long as the refrigerator will run on Modified Since Wave. That is the same inverter we have for our GE Residential (only pulls 3 amps). Happy Trails! -
Brett, just an observation....I had a customer with a Chinook that had it for many trouble-free years. Similar to this one; http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/classc/2005-Chinook-34637.htm

YUP, just before a holiday weekend!

Tom, hope you are doing well now! Glad to hear you are ok.

We have the same in our coach, works great. So far we have not had a false reading.

Good looking unit! Brett, I get it...believe me....I get it. DW loves the larger coaches, me I get nauseated before every trip, no faith we are going to get there and back. Other than comfort and ride of the DP I do miss the simplicity and dependability of my C. I have seen many of the Ford V10's and V8's with over 300,000 miles on them still going strong with little out of pocket along the way. Diesel technology since 1998 ish has made these engines a nuisance. Don't go this long that tail was a tough one!

WOW! As mentioned above, its pretty much time to toss them anyway by their age. Curious, did you inspect the rears? I would say if the inners were shorter or taller by now you would have found out the hard way .

Last coach neither tank gave good readings, I installed these, they worked great! And were simple to install. http://www.rvprobes.com/home.html

Herman, understood! The one critical piece I didn't mention, when I book those places I check off how much vacation time I have, when I'm done booking I also have no more time off from work. Leaving those months open would be simple, but no time off of work makes it impossible to go.

Agreed! I plan the following year at least 12 months in advance, so we get the campground in the area that is desired. When you are part time with a family the campground selection and location is critical, you don't preplan well ahead of time forget it! Too many RV's on the roads today and not enough large sites. Since we plan so far ahead, if a rally is close enough I can incorporate that into our schedule if I know in advance. Every year we have been FMCA members I find out about the rally long after the following year is all booked.

WINNEBAGO Journey On-demand Water Heater
jleamont replied to jaybeemc4's topic in Systems and Appliances
Tom, after owning the older version it sounds like they either goofed on the later model or you have a problem with that specific one. When I said ours worked flawlessly for 7 years, I meant it. If my wife ever had the slightest bit of a cold shower I would have been divorced and the RV's would have become a thing of the past! We did have a double faucet in the shower before, not the single lever you described, I wonder if the mixing valve is giving you trouble, that happed to a friend with one at his house. She gets more cold showers now with the Aqua Hot (still trying to figure that out) than ever before with the Tankless Heater. -

Wow . I had the hose fitting break off, not the hot side. -
The last time we house shopped was 1999. Looked at a few with Associations after learning what that was all about we both laughed and said NO WAY! When one told us what color garden hose and how many of each type of plants we had to have in the ground by a certain week of the year we walked out. The borough we live in has one RV rule. It can't permanently park anywhere in front of the house. I had a parking spot built along side of the attached garage with a 50amp connection. It only resides there in the winter months, otherwise it's parked in the driveway. With that being said I will NEVER purchase a house with those stipulations. The next one will have enough property between us that I can see my neighbors if I squint.

Tom, do you have this problem with other faucets in your coach or just the shower? -

OP, what brand do you have in the Winnie coach? Atwood threw in the towel from what I have read, they couldn't get it right with Chinese parts and gave up. Tom, I'm baffled, did you opt for the high wind fan package (not sure if its still an option on the 550)? We had a Precision Temp RV500 (older version of yours) in our last coach, 7 years Zero problems. The trick with tankless is to turn on the hot water, once hot at the shower slowly dial in the cold to your desired comfort. -
Who's Jo? sorry couldn't resist

We seem to drain fresh and fill gray equally. The coach is well balanced for us. Yea we do have an outside shower. Carl my wife's idea of camping is our coach or a five star hotel, nothing less. She won't sugar coat that either when she explains it. Southern girl either it gets filled and drained there, I leave and do it, bring it back...or we leave and park at a full hookup campground, toad in daily.

No way you would ever see anyone from my family at the public showers. We run out of water or have full waste tanks and no way to empty or refill fresh, SEE YA. We bought a motorhome for a reason, I bring our beds and shower with us.

Yup, suburbs are good, I'm not a city person. Ok to visit, but not live there.
