Roland, I used a wet saw with a tile diamond blade. The curves around the window were tricky. I actually had to hold a 1"X1" piece of tile with pliers and gently nick it with the blade to make a curve. They sit just below and around the window frame in case it has to be removed with the rubber grout between the tile and the frame. No sealant needed, most of them are glass and the ceramic ones are polished.

Roland, thank you and I did use his products and I pre-grouted the tile then installed it. I colored my caulk as he only sells white. If you should ever tackle a job like this purchase tile that is all the same material, and NON glass bead filled some of mine were also peuter not tile. So when you grout with silicone it sticks to those and is a real pain to clean after. One trick I messed with and figured out I'll share. I took an old tube of caulk I had in the garage, emptied it into the trash with the gun, blew compressed air backwards through the tip and pushed the plunger out, cleaned the tube out, mixed my rubber grout and filled the tube, put the plunger back in and applied the finish grout with the caulk gun. It worked perfectly. Carl as I am already in the dog house I figured I'd let her have one round and took them off the counter. No need to poke the bull

Bill, mine hangs low 2" maybe 3" from the ground with bags inflated and tucks up above the body line, no chips on either toad. I'm guessing the height of the jeep has something to do with it? Current toad is stock height....current toad gets a chip....nice knowing you guys

Carl, what else is in the area of the transfer switch? Perhaps a constant duty 12v solenoid... I found my salesman switch was incorrectly wired and experienced a similar problem last year. Someone replaced the solenoid, they had the inverter tied into the solenoid on the switched side, so when the switch in the front door was turned off it would break the charging line to the house batteries. Its going to take someone sitting at your coach to figure this one out.

Carl, check it or have it checked. Yes there are relays inside, they actually open and close the contacts. unplug the coach and keep the generator off when you pull the cover, just in case! There were problematic transfer switches around your year coach also. IOTA transfer switch is the one that comes to mind but I could be wrong. The one below I believe is the problematic unit, ironically I have that same model, just several years older . I keep a close eye on it with monthly inspections, planning on replacing it in the future as a precautionary measure.

As with everything, some are higher quality than others.

Blake, we have the Rand McNally 7720, absolute JUNK! It looks fancy...that's about it. Last time I tried to use it after an update it couldn't find Myrtle Beach SC . Before that it was trying to send us down dirt road cattle pastures in the mountains of PA and down alleys in Anaheim CA I felt like I was on an episode of Adam12 in CA . I turn it on for a moving map now, works good for that so I can read the street names before we approach them.

Ditto....agree with Brett. The only thing I can add is Bilstein is factory equipment on some F53's now. But is it a proprietary shock from the factory and is the one you purchase now designed differently internally? You will need someone that has a F53 to chime in with real world experience in detail. Also what are your expected gains? Depending on that alone it might not be a shock concern you are trying to correct or alter and by replacing them could create another issue.

At the moment we have NO GPS. I preplan the routes via Google Maps and print the directions. DW will navigate with those and old school maps and atlas. She prefers the maps and atlas. She has a boating license and is pretty sharp with nautical maps and maps in general. When I get concerned when I am looking for places to stop in the planning stages I will often use Google Earth or "street view" and scroll down them to make certain there will be no problems. Carl, you are 100% correct "Big Rig" is often abused like "Camping Resort". I just called a place locally to book a weekend (one of my favorite local bands are playing at the CG) their website states Big Rig friendly, so I call, NO 50AMP and when I tell her our coach is just shy of 42' I get "Oh my, we cannot handle a coach of that size, that's not an RV that's a small town"

Carl, I agree there is a misconception of the trailer folks we have quite a few friends with trailers that we camp with. Granted they are all blue collar but good friendly people to have fun around the campfire with and one heck of a buffet of food we all contribute to. Next weekend is a great example, two class A DP's and three trailers all meeting up for Easter in Gettysburg PA at a campground to start the season. I will say there is a 0% chance any of them would join FMCA, they see no "bang for the buck" they are all GS members, got that for free when the trailer's were purchased, as they expire those will probably go away as well.

Keith and Marian, Welcome!! Are you living here now or visiting?

tiffinallegro1, Welcome! I agree, there are some angry people on there with the mentality that their way is the ONLY correct way, I see it on Facebook also on the RV sites. What baffles me is how one could be so angry inside when this is your lifestyle or hobby. To each his own as far as I'm concerned. We all come from different parts of the country with different travel itinerary, budgets and idea's that often dictate what we purchase. None are right and none are wrong as far as I am concerned, its what works best for your situation.
