ObedB, getting out is so bad in a large coach my right front wheel was off the ground as I came through the gate while turning onto the access road, the drivers side was almost against the fence on one side the rear tail swing was almost touching the other side of the gate. Not a nice place for a large coach! Plus they only have 30 amp electric, no water, no sewer, and believe me they do NO maintenance on the place. We still go to Knoebel's every year, we just stay 1 mile down the road at this place http://www.jdcampground.com/ Nice place, level sites several generation family owned campground.

Carl, just curious, how often does it go into regeneration average miles between etc? On those years (PRE SCR or DEF) I only have experience with CAT, some 6.7L Cummins. Just comparing notes in my mind.

Good to know, never stopping there! We hate CG's that don't maintain level spots, most could do it with minimal effort, just do not seem to care. I would even pay a few dollars more per night to be comfortable. We camped at Knoebel's campground a few years ago in PA (never again!!) I had our old coach so high in the back on wood and linx levelers the bumper was at my chest, I went down and complained that it was a safety issue, they moved us to a site where the rear hitch was in the dirt and the front wheels were almost off the ground and I still wasn't level.

Good to know the Perry location has adequate supporting entrances, exits and roadways to support such an event. If you ever make it to the Hershey RV show, don't expect that. It grid locks the entire area with cars. When you expect it you are mentally prepared.

Carl, sounds like you have an exhaust leak. The raw fuel smell is probably contributed to the engine in regeneration mode sending raw fuel down the exhaust pipe to burn off the soot in the particulate filter, that part is normal, if you smell it inside and have smoke you most likely have an exhaust leak, which would also explain the lower burn temps. The reason you don't hear anything could be a small crack in a pipe at the moment, as the leak gets worse so should the sound, smoke, foul odors etc. Seems like its between the engine and the DPF. These new engines have these IMHO cheap made flex pipes that crack causing all sorts of exhaust leak scenarios. Our Parts warehouse here stocks a pallet of each for the common road tractors at work, we replace them often. I am not entirely convinced some were not caused by mechanics. Take it to a Cummins service center and get it looked at ASAP.

Carl, I agree. Ours would be perfect if it were 3' longer with a tag axle. Oil bath hubs, no kits available, you just remove your dust cap and take it to a truck parts place and match it up with the oil filled design. I am partial to Stemco, that is all I have ever used and probably all I will ever use. I pulled my wheels and cleaned out most of the of the grease, replaced the seal (same seal with grease or oil) reassembled, installed the new cap, filled it with 75W90 full synthetic Mobil gear oil. I have seen many people just replace the cap, if the grease is not filthy just fill r up with gear oil and forget about it. My OCD would not allow me to do that. My caps do not have the drain on them, like the one in the picture http://community.fmca.com/gallery/image/4039-img-2172/ The parts store told me they had them in stock, when I arrived I noticed they were lacking the drain (its an option), I wasn't going to leave the coach apart while I waited for them to arrive. What makes a class C a "super C"? Length Height, GVWR,GCWR HP length of chassis nose In my mind a Super C is on a Heavy/Medium Duty truck chassis i.e Freightliner, International, Hino, GM Kodiak, over 23,000 GVWR I'm confused.

Blake, do yourself a favor and go to a local truck parts store to purchase (remove and take with you). Monaco wanted $65.00 I bought the same one from Napa for $18.00.

Capkelly, I removed one of the side windows. Look up your refrigerator specs on the web and start measuring the windows on the side and the entry door. Some have carried them out the door. I wasn't that lucky, ours came out the side window behind the passenger seat. It would have fit out every window in our coach except the one in the restroom and in the galley. I would not remove the windshield for this.

Wow, glad they were all ok and it didn't damage any other coaches next to them.

Thanks, the black bra with the blacked out headlights and turn signals gives that coach a hole different look. I think the bra will stay even after just for protection on long trips. Once the 3M shield is removed it will need some paint work, there is one bad stone shot from the previous owner that I need to get fixed.

Bill, I am not sure if the do embroidery work, probably worth a phone call. I have the full interior photos posted in the gallery section. We have two slides, both are on the drivers side. The front one is shallow (maybe 18-24 inches) with the the couch and kitchen on it, the back one is the king size bed that is sideways. The opposite couch is a magic bed, very comfortable, it's cloth, not leather. One selling point we liked with this floor plan is the drivers seat is a few feet in front of the slide, no matter how far back it is it will not interfere with the slide Today I finished the wiring portion of the seat install, I ordered them with seat heaters (DW is always cold), they were built with heaters and massagers for your back and legs. That was a suprise. Bill the kitchen benches are comfortable, I just wish the backs were higher for more support, had I thought about it more I would have asked for taller seat backs, that company will customize their existing products if you ask. ObedB, two weekends from now that project begins, I have a friend that works for an automotive body shop, he and I are going to tackle that. It's just s clear protector. I will post photos and let everyone know how the kit I bought worked.
