Flat bed use would be commercial. $$$ Especially because it would have to be on a low trailer. Overpasses are an issue. Companies that specialize moving new units to buyers might be a help, but Nevada as a back haul/ probably not. Maybe store the unit and come back for it when things get better for you?

Have used some over the years. Enjoyed them with our first coach (34 ft). Seems to me that most are open year round, but not certain.

OK! I was unfair in my criticism, but if there are two same model and year jeeps/ one has the wobble and the other doesn't, seems like a trip to a good alignment shop that knows jeeps is in order. Maybe a little more positive caster and at least 1/32 or maybe more toe in. Possible steering gear problems ? Read somewhere that a few 2017s could have the problem. Do jeeps commonly have steering stabilizers ? They do work a most of the time. Yes Carl, I do know that their are a number of different models. By the way, I leased a Wagoneer for three years. Never towed it, but it was an impressive vehicle. Could not get it stuck , and it seemed to go just about anywhere. Had a friend with an older CJ and it did not do well on our steep snow covered driveway. Think that it was tires. Our Forester does great on the same driveway. Five/ I was impressed with a CRV that I drove, but we have had Subarus since 1979. All performed well and I found them to be very dependable. Hard to give up on a winner. My apology is in order.

Carl/ It kinda does. Jeep lovers have been kicking around the many problems that Jeeps as toads have for as long as I have been on this site.What a name/ the "Death Wobble." New members with no experience might think "Do we want to do this?" If you guys have not offered the correct fixes by now, it would intimidate me if I was new to the site.

Never experienced the Jeep Death Wobble with ours. Oh shoot! That's right. I forgot. We tow a 2012 Subaru Forester with manual transmission. OK! It is not a Jeep, but darn used Jeeps are expensive in our home area. We never buy anything new. Our Subie got us south on Last Dollar Road from the Ridgway Colorado area toTelluride. Could have used a transfer case set in low range, I admit. Tried some serious off road stuff with a rented Jeep. She who must be obeyed (Betty) said NO! Am OK with that. The Forester is my daily driver choice at home anyway. Darn it does a great job in snow and we do have a very steep driveway that is 450 long.😉

Truck stops get crowded when a pass down the road has some version of a chain law in effect. To their credit, the officials involved in current chain requirements seem to use common sense. They ease up a bit when it is safe to use "some chains" to keep trucks moving. When it is really dangerous, they place requirements that are tough for most truckers to meet,(California) or they just shut the highway down. If you find yourself in such a position, in an RV while trying to get south for winter relief or maybe to get home early for an unplanned event, listen to the CB some, check inside for updates, use the technology on a smart phone to check nearby conditions, and if things open up, get moving. You can take a nap later when you are past the problem.

Triples are quite heavy and a little tough to manage when installing. A single on each end of the drive axle usually satisfies the authorities when the storm is winding down and the plows have done their work. Standard Cable chains usually are not acceptable in tough states such as California. There is a heavier version that is acceptable. More $$ and harder to manage. In choke points where trucks stack up because of chain requirements, there are often " freelancers" that will install them for you for a price. They are dressed for the weather and know what they are doing. The chains come off easier than they go on. By the way/ I bought a set of triple chains from a truck stop at the absolute end of the snow season. Price was cheap and they were carried out by two employees and placed inside my trailer. They were glad to get rid of them, and liuck would have it, winter patterns changed somewhat. I never used them. The best way to handle a pass requiring chains, is to stop well before and camp out at a truck stop. You will know when the best time IS to head on.

You have received good advice from a fellow Canadian, I could reccoomrnd a lot of broken field running for your trip south to Tuscon. My goodness. Many different things could happen. Always loved the excitement of winter weather , but most amateurs , not so much. Good luck. Let common sense prevail.

I prefer tire brands that are readily available in case of a failure. Yes they are more expensive, but mismatched rubber is usually not a good idea.

Pat/ Probably most of us would not be happy spending that kind of money to reprogram an ECM. Especially when it still needs a little more work. Does not sound to me that you were fairly treated. Carl/ How much did you pay in Gillette?

There are not many states that offer dump stations along major highways. Yes, they do exist, but if you are a dry camper do not wait a long time looking for one. With our first Class A, we did at least 80%, dry camping. Most if not all RV parks offer dumping tanks and fresh water replacement. Yes. For a charge. They have costs too. Never resented paying for services rendered. If your budget is that sensitive while owning an RV of any type, you might have picked the wrong way to explore this great nation.

I remember two members having serious $$$ problems with ISX engines. Do not know how to look that up, but I bet Carl does.

Is your unit rear facing or side facing. The radiator should be able to be removed, recored, and replaced nearby. Side facing would be easier. A starter that only fits your engine and chassis combo. Get outa hear. What company would build that??? You are being fed a line of nonsense. No one wants to be bothered with a real fix when they can milk you for more$$$.

Walmart runs most of their trucks between their distribution centers and the stores they are assigned to. They are usually out and back to home base. Notice I use the word usually. In trucking, nothing is etched in stone. They have their fuel centers on property. The distribution centers are quite large. Let's say huge. When I knew that I was near a DC in the middle of what seemed like nowhere, I just looked for the lights. The price per gallon is well below the typical trucker. Other big players in trucking pay a lower price than the small guys could only dream about. Some big players buy fuel at wholesale prices and have it delivered to select retailers. They pay an agreed to price for the service the retailer gives. Gotta be big to be able to do that! The little guys like me did the best we could, and most liked the services the big truck stops offered. The % of business that motorhomes bring to their plate probably would not be missed or noticed. I understand that, but I still like roomy places for fuel stops and quality fuel. Am always glad they are there.

PA had the second highest tax on diesel and gasoline in the nation. Was the highest by far, but California always likes to be number one in all things stupid. Perhaps their new taxes have not kicked in yet, but I have read that they will be soon. Regardless, the PA tax has an effect on pump prices of nearby states. The nearby retailer can add a bit to their profits, but with PA nearby, it looks good.

Used the J for many years. Always had to go to the fuel desk for my receipt. Was usually clipped to a circular device. Spun it until I could see my receipt. Snapped it off and went on my way. Always pull ahead if you can. I even parked if I was going to be inside for a meal or a shower. Maybe things have changed. The pumps did not print receipts. The printer was at the fuel desk.

Kay/ hash browns on sausage patties, grits, scrambled eggs that look really good, a delicious looking biscuit., but the second picture? One huge high rising pancake?

Of course with a front engine gasser, unless your hearing is like mine, you can hear problems. With a rear engine diesel, a clutch fan failure would be easy to miss. Desert Deals( Bruce) has the right idea. Eliminate the fan clutch.

You sound somewhat condescending.😏Have been using it for many years. The stuff that you are describing will need only a light application force. Have always used a dishrag or the like. You can thank me later.😉

We live in the woods. Tree sap and other crud gets on house Windows as well as car windshields. Have used Bar Keepers Friend very successfully . It comes in a 21 ounce container. Also does a great job on Chrome. Got my Western Star shinning. Walmart and most grocery stores have it.

Our's is a rear radiator, and the fan runs all of the time. I close the door to the bedroom as we motor down the road. Keeps things quieter and cooler. Never had a fan clutch fail on any of my big rigs. Maybe the RV builders put the cheapest unit they can find on our toys??

Fan clutches on 18 wheelers are long lived. Have no experience with them on diesel RV s. A member with the name Desert Deals changed his fan from a clutch unit to a solid drive unit. Runs all of the time. Our's is set up that way from the factory. You have lost a bunch of money with your second replacement. When things are being repaired, insist on constant drive.

But does it act as mine did? All of the essentials must have been stored in flash memory, because the ECM was no longer usable but the important stuff was preserved. Would have to dig out old tax forms to be sure, but with the towing bill included , was well above $2500.
