Parris Island/Camp Lejeune (force Recon), Okinawa (3d Recon Bn, Camp Onna Point 1976/77), Naval Air Station (memphis/millington), Naval shipyard (Portsmouth, Va.), Cherry Point, Yuma, Iwakuni Japan, Kaneoe Bay, HI, MCAS El Toro, CA, Iwakuni japan, Kaneoe Bay, HI, Yuma, AZ. Retired 1991. Prior to that US Army 1969 thru 1972, 82 ABN Div, Bragg, Vietnam 70/71 173 ABN Brigade 11B, Ft Campbell 71/72 101st ABN Div. Discharged 1972. Been there done that. Riding a Beaver Patriot coach, Cat 330/3126, toad honda crv beautiful lady liz and dog named duchess. Headed west from myrtle beach, SC to yuma, AZ tomorrow with plenty of stops along the way, no hurry.

First it's hard to think that soooo many have viewed this forum and so few in comparision have posted. Anyway

Dave Letzinger, drafted in Oct. of 66'. Trained at Fort Leonard, Mo. U.S.Army. Arrived at Fort Bragg, N.C. Jan. 67'. Assigned to Logistics Married at the time for 5 years, I was older than most everyone there. Recieved orders for Vietnam to arrive August 18th, 1967. Spent my tour at Cu Chi. Served one year to the day. Made E-5, Buck Sergeant. Served with the 25th Infantry Div., 25th Medical Batt. Charlie Co. Rotated back to the world on August 18th, 1968. Received an early out by 57 days. A BIG WELCOME HOME TO ALL VETS.

John Beale and a Veteran, USN, 20 year, retired OCT 83 as a Chief Yeoman, served in combat in Vietnam, on ships USS Cimmeron, Constellation, Samuel Gompers, Long Beach, and in VFP63, VF24, at NAS Miramar, VX4 Point Mugu. Was a courier and a Admiral's writer, working for VADM Zumwalt, and Dillon. I also retired from civil service 14 years at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. I am a full time RV'er on the road with my wife Julie since retiring in 04.

Three: 10 yrs, 2 mos, 3 Days 1974 to 1985.

Four: HT1 (SW) Thats E6 for non-Navy (SW) is Surface Warfare Specialist.

Five: Shipfitter / Damage Controlman

Six: East Coast, West Coast homeports, mostly at sea though. Beruit Multi National Peace keeping force (deployed 2 days after they took the hostages on November 4, 1979. Lots of time there on multiple deployments. Saw most of the world in 10yrs.
