  1. Richard, sent you an email !!! Sent a picture to another email, not related to your motor issue. Rich.
  2. Richard R, Welcome to The FMCA forum! Could you attach a picture of the motor / assembly and mounting for the group ? Have had some luck finding the motor for the larger curb side awning and wondering how close they are to each other. I will use your part number and see if I can find one hiding somewhere. Rich.
  3. The ride height is set by adjusting the ride height control valves. One needs the proper measurement points and adjustment information. Your chassis maker (Monaco in your case) can tell you the proper ride height-- normally measured from a given point on the chassis to given point on the axle. You might give Monaco service a call to see if they can supply the proper information for your coach. Technical Support, Parts and Warranty Assistance: @ 877-466-6226 Rich.
  4. Road Service is one item that we purchase and hope we never need. Have used Coach Net, Good Sams and AAA+RV over the years. At times they provide excellent response times and then there have been times when they have been very slow, in regards to getting to our location. Our solution has been to have 2 road service contracts and hope one of them has a good contractor in the area. I keep reminding myself that using the service just once by any of them pays me back quickly. The cost of towing a Diesel Coach per mile is expensive and adds up real fast. As mentioned, sometimes its locating a tire and at other times getting a wrecker the proper size. Regarding follow up to our need(s). Coach Net was poor at the time I used there service. Good Sam's has been very good at keeping us in the loop, regarding the expected time of arrival and issues like finding a tire has accrued. AAA road Service has been very good regarding calling us back and keeping us informed. Having said that, There are times when areas they cover have fallen short of ones expectations. They all contract out the service to local / area towing and service companies and they are not all created equal. Rich.
  5. jaminman, Welcome to the FMCA forum! Some of the Freightliner liner chassis with the ISB02 series engines have 3 fuel filters. The one most people and many service centers miss is the inline filter, located in the fuel line behind the rear axle(Drivers Side)inside the frame rail. It is black in color, about 2in.X 5in. in size. The only real way to know for sure is to call Freightliner service @ 1-800-385-4357 with the last 6 numbers your chassis VIN. number. Rich.
  6. R03Dutchstar, Welcome to the FMCA forum! With 80K on the coach, have you ever had the hydraulic fluid and the filters changed? Water pump belt tension and thermostat replaced? Rich.
  7. Bob and Jim, Welcome to the FMCA forum! Thank you for your question and feed back! The strength of the forum is in its members. Rich.
  8. jleamont, The evolution of the ISB 24 valve engine is covered at this link. http://www.cumminsdieselspecs.com/24v.html With all the changes there are always some items that come up. My coach is equipped with an ISB that uses the Bosh VP-44 injector pump, that all changed in 2003 when they went with the High Pressure Common Rail system. In 2007 the EPA requirements made adding an EGR system and in 2010 the addition of the DEF system. The ISB went out of production in 2009. The ISB series is a well proven engine. The general consensus for the best years leans towards 04 / 05. Relatively simple and before all the EPA requirements, with good HP to Torque numbers. The weight of the coach is a big factor in MPG and the way the engine performance matches up. Look, ask questions and drive different coaches. Then the tough item is, what floor plan to fit your travel style. Rich.
  9. bgreen, Welcome to the FMCA Forum! Sound like air is getting into the system and when one of the bubbles gets to the reservoir it splashes the fluid out. With no leaks showing up on the high pressure side, one would have to consider the suction side having a small leak; that shows up at higher RPM's Might be a crack or weak spot in the line between the reservoir and the pump. Rich.
  10. James, The quickest way to check. If your Heater / Defroster defaults to the Defrost mode, then you have a vacuum operated system. If the controls are not working, but the system is staying in the vent or heater mode, then its electrical operated. My Fleetwood coach is a little older then yours and uses electrical servo motors to set the system modes. A quick call to Fleetwood customer service with your FIN number will get you the answer and the location of the vacuum pump should your coach have one. Rich.
  11. Ben, common to have 2 mounted together / a pair. located in the transmission housing. They kind of look like a tuning fork ! with a 3 wire connector. They are not the same as the engine crank sensor. Rich.
  12. kw10525, Welcome to the forum! Thanks for the information and the heads up !! Rich.
  13. leadpipe58, Welcome to the FMCA forum! From your post it sounds like you do not have spark at this time. The engine is cranking with fuel and oil. Points are set. Check the ignition coil, also check to make sure there is no short between the points to ground. You should have 12 volts between them and ground. Check both ends of the coil wire for good / clean connections. Let the group know what you find. Regarding the armature cleaning, that can be tricky; depends on how much room you have as it is a tight space to work in when the generators are mounted. Rich.
  14. Ben, A call to Sliverleaf would be the best starting point. Did you get the manual for your VSM 200? There a a number of sub menus within the software. The previous owner may have entered some incorrect information at some point. You can go to this link and get contact information. http://www.silverleafelectronics.com Rich.
  15. Could you supply a little more information: Do the outlets all work when the coach is connected to shore power? and when the generator is running? Could you supply the model and year of the the Freedom Combi Make, Model and Year of the Coach? Rich!
  16. hal1phx, Do you have the ISB or the ISB-2 Series with the Cap or Fuel rail system? Rich.
  17. cadiwa, A call to Country Coach might get you some information.. 135 E. First Street PO Box 400 Junction City, OR 97448 Contact info. Link. http://www.countrycoach.com/contact-us/ Rich.
  18. Can you monitor the voltage and current on you Aladin when using a 50-amp shore power outlet? Do you read a higher current and lower voltage level on one side compared to the other? If there is a difference, what circuits are powered from the different mains in the AC breaker box? (Edit 5-15) When you are connected to 30-amp shore power, what size wire are you using or are you using an adapter cable to convert from 50-amp to 30-amp ? Rich.
  19. Just out of curiosity with a 6 speed transmission, when should it be shifting? That is kind of a loaded question. There a a number of variables the Engine and Transmission Control modules are looking at to allow them to shift. The software set up, The load on the engine / transmission, elevation and throttle position are the key factors. Rich.
  20. Jack, The one item I use as a member is the 10% discount on parts. Look at this link and see if you think it could be worth your investment. http://www.cumminspowerclub.com/faq.jsp#public2 Rich.
  21. Bounder2016, Welcome to the FMCA forum! Who and Where did you get it worked on? Think a good AC shop would have found the problems on the first try! IF the condenser was bad, should have been an issue for them when the system was vacuumed and pressure tested the first time. Did You run the AC when you picked it up after they installed the first Compressor ??? I think its time to get a second opinion !!! Rich.
  22. Mypopslou, When the engine is not getting enough fuel or when the turbo pressure is low, can cause the problem. Also the valve tappet setting out of adjustment can have the same affect. When did you have the fuel filters changed last, number of miles? and how many miles on the coach? Have you ever changed the fuel lift pump or had the fuel pressure tested? Rich.
  23. wsxt1, Could you post the Make, Model and Year of your coach for the group? They wire them all a little different. Rich.
  24. Tommy, the hum from the speakers is caused by a bad ground in the audio cables in most cases. Are you using RCA type cables to connect the audio ? one could disconnect the cables running between the Sat. receiver and the TV to see if the hum disappears. Rich.
  25. John, You mentioned that the batteries are a year old, did you replace them or where they in the coach when you purchased it. Did they work OK at first, and have you checked the charging voltage and current ? Could you post some measurements of the battery areas and post a picture or two for the group ? Putting larger batteries into the area, will you have enough room to check and replace the water? Rich.
