  1. JT, Are you able to get under the coach SAFELY? With the parking brake set "please" and spray some soppy water around the area you hear or think the air is escaping. Should see some bubbles form or bubbles popping quickly it there is a bigger leak. Not knowing what items have been serviced, in regards to the air compressor drier filters and how often the manual air bleeders have been pulled to vent off any water buildup in the primary and secondary air tanks, makes it difficult. So could you post all of the service that has been done on the air brake and air ride systems for the group. One seemingly unrelated question, how long has it been since the engine air filter and intake system have been serviced? Rich.
  2. Evaporator would be on a 25 to 30 amp circuit and the thermostat would require much less current. Think the wire gauge and connector sizes would be different sizes also. Rich.
  3. JT, Your getting close to needing a haircut, are your pet clean shaving? LOL Your wiring is not connected to the ignition switch from what I have on file. So it looks like you can engage the air ride before or after you start the engine to fill or dump the Air Springs. Air Ride wiring- in cab-Connector Pin #1==Green wire to dump circuit-wire at valve is Light green Pin #2==Blue wire to fill circuit-wire at valve is light blue. Only the Green and blue wires at the valve connection-2 pins Pin #3==Black / Ground point inside cab. Most likely at the common dash grounding point. Rich. Note- from the drawings it looks like the Engine neutral safety switch and the park brake need to be providing a ground for the Start relay to engage. The Chassis builder may have added a slide(s) IN switch to the sequence before the engine will start?
  4. fdrperai, Welcome to the FMCA Forum! Could you post the model of your Onan and the make an year of the coach for the group? Rich.
  5. JT, Could you post the Make, Model and Year of your coach, also the chassis manufacture. On my coach you need to have the switch in auto when starting or the air ride will not air up. There are different wiring setups regarding the air valve operation that have been used over the years. Rich.
  6. Dacar, With the price tag being what it is and the lack of any signal specifications found yet, personally I would hesitate. This is a link to a PDF file on use and installation that might help. Think you will have to copy and paste it into you browser. http://wilsonsignalbooster.com/media/wysiwyg/Products/Amplifiers/Sleek-4G/Sleek_4G_Installation_Guide_813426.pdf Rich.
  7. Did you have a switch replaced or repaired also? Rich.
  8. Gary is correct- The cover is about 1-1/2in. in diameter and for your model year freightliner chassis - it is to the left of the steering column. Rich.
  9. bostonbernie, Welcome to the FMCA Forum! Questions-How long did the coach set before you started it? and was it damp and or raining? First thought is a spark plug wire, that might be real close to making contact to a ground point. Think you might want to look at the spark plug wires and there location, if a wire is resting on a hot surface-this can melt or damage the insulation. when the wire got damp / an ark can jump from the damaged area to ground. If you have a real dark area where you can park the coach ,open the hood and look for an ark - or you might see a blueish glow - it will be very faint, so the darker the better. If there is a glow (Corona) there is a bad spot in the wire(s). That is my first thought. Rich. Note- if there is a bad spot in one of the plug wires and you get to close or touch it you will be picking your self up off the ground in most cases !!!!!
  10. Joe, Went to a wedding in FL a few years ago, and every time we started the GPS it would calculate a different Route. So, between the rehearsal, setting up the reception, going to the wedding and on to the reception we got to see a different part of the county on each trip. LOL It kept things from getting boring !!! Rich.
  11. wef90, When the key pad lit up, did you try to start the engine? When you call Freightliner factory service you will need the last 6 characters of the Vin. number. They are located in Gaffey SC. Good people that will do there best to get you some good information! CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE OR CONCERNS Contact our Customer Support Center at 1-800-FTL-HELP (1-800-385-4357) Factory Service Center Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation 552 Hyatt St. Gaffney, SC 29341 (phone) 864-487-1700 Thanks for the feed back. The one item that gets many of the coach owners and service centers, are bad or intermittent grounds. Your Cat ECM ignition signal connects to pin 70. There is a connection from the same wire to the Grid heater and that goes through a Diode-They can be problematic. The signal will pass through a relay that is powered when key is in the start position (if memory survives my correctly) With your setup the transmission TCM is in the start circuit - looking for a park brake signal, transmission in neutral signal and it could be going through a circuit that is verifying that the slid(s) are in-Jacks are up. The wiring changes form time to time and model to model. Rich.
  12. wef94, Welcome to the FMCA Forum ! Brett, got his post in before me so lets see what you find out. Is you coach model WKP36G or WKP36SG ? Rich.
  13. demetropoulos, Welcome to the FMCA Forum! Could you post the model number of the OEM pump and the model of your current pump? Then the members can compare the specifications and see what might be the cause of your issue. Need a starting point. Rich. Question, do you know what the current rating of the latching relay is for your water pump? The new one might be drawing more current an that might be causing the surge issue>
  14. Link Repaired for Air tabs. Thanks- Edited by tmoning, Today, 01:14 PM. Fixed Airtabwebsite link Rich.
  15. tmoning,Thanks for the heads up !! Rich.
  16. Take a look at this link. The style has changed - so there is a good chance that the thread's and the diameter have also. Now that I have your picture to look at, I will see if I can find one at one of my old supply houses. Yes there is a spring inside this style fuse holder-the key is the correct diameter and length. http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?FS=TRUE&N=4294764378+18503194+4291292757+4294649083+4291348749+4291336044+1323043 Could you measure the Gray portion's length and diameter - also measure the metal portion's length and diameter. Post that information for me. This style holder has prongs at the bottom / Called a bayonet that contact slots inside the holder to keep the holder in place as you rotate it Now to see if we can get lucky !!! Rich.
  17. TakingTurns, Welcome to the FMCA Forum! This is the only link I know about. You might need to exchange some information to get the Atlas you want. http://store.randmcnally.com/landing/fmca.html Rich.
  18. This is a link I just found that might be helpful http://www.autobooksbishko.com/search.cgi?year=2005&make=Workhorse&category=Shop+Manual Copy of original post Posted 04 August 2013 - 11:55 PM I was looking for some different Workhorse information when I ran into this information on the 2005 and 2009 series chassis. A lot of general information, but what caugh my eye was the information on the fuse panels and the information on the internal and external fuse locations and what they protect. Motorhome fuse panels are covered in Section 4, Pages 71 to 80. The PDF file pages are page 224 to 233 in the 2005 manual. Maintenance intervals are also covered and the Auto Park system for some models. First Link 2005 http://www.workhorse...ers Manuals.pdf Second Link 2009 Fuse block information on Motorhomes. Pages 216 to 235 http://www.workhorse...er's Manual.pdf Third Link, More Like A Shop Manual. for 1999 to 2009, the UFO Chassis and P chassis. Weight specifications. This workhorse information covers more of the mechanical maintenance and repair information for the chassis. With allot of engine, transmission, suspension and on page 49 lists the engine maintenance items like. filters, plugs and transmission filter kits. Vin number location(s) an pictures of the fuse box locations. http://www.workhorse... - 06-22-09.pdf Note! These are large files around 390 pages in all. A chassis Repair manual and other information is at this link. This is a link to purchase a maintenance manual. http://www.workhorse...ryID=17&Level=a The third link maybe real close to the information listed above. This is a link to some good pictures of the Workhorse UFO Chassis. http://www.rvcruzer.com/UFO.php Rich.
  19. Peggy ! Doubt you have a ME612. like Kay mentioned- Have you tried to run the Refrigerator from shore power? The ME-1212 series is a modified Sine wave inverter. The MS-2012 is a Sine Wave inverter. Have you added any electrical items to the coach,-possible over load issue? What is the charge level of the coach batteries? Overload During inverter and AC Shore Power operation, the inverter monitors the AC and DC circuits. In the event of a short-circuit or overload condition, the inverter will shut down. The inverters LED turns OFF to indicate the fault condition. Over temperature During inverter operation, if the inverter becomes overheated, it will shut down to protect itself from damage. The inverters LED turns OFF to indicate the fault condition. No rest information listed in my information! Rich.
  20. Peggy, Welcome to the FMCA Forum! Expanding on Jim's post. Did the Coach come equipped with this current refrigerator or did you change out the OEM refrigerator? Most of the new refrigerators do not like the Modified Sine wave power supplied by many of the inverters. Many of the newer coaches are equipped with a Pure Sine Wave output inverter. Could you post the Make and Model of you inverter; and if it was part of the Coach OEM equipment. Rich.
  21. Carl, could you post the model information and any information on the parabolic dish you have. Will do some looking around-been out of the loop for theses systems and when Bill was posting I kind of let the old information I had just get older. Things change so fast and just subtle changes in software and receiver design can change what one can do to adapt the hardware. Hope Bill responds to a PM - it would be nice to know how he is doing and what he has been up to. Rich.
  22. Carl, DD is correct. The need for multiple LNB's to receive Direct TV requires a different geometry for the dish. Rich.
  23. Carl, been catching up on the thread. Kay made a good point about using a magnet. Should the material be aluminum and the way it is distributed / spread out and the concentration changes would make me think that there is something like a steel roller rubbing(Loss of an "E" clip that should hold it in place missing) on the rail or allowing the rail sections to rub each other. Did the coach builder provide any load limit information for the slid out? Rich.
  24. Question, Who rebuilt the engine the first time? Did it come with some kind of warranty? Do you have a Cummins Power Club Membership? It could save you 10%. Think it would be worth the $20.00 for a membership. Rich.
  25. Carl, You mentioned the shavings where under the rug. Did you lift up the rug or did you just notice it was coming loose from the sub floor? Wondering if it was left under the rug during construction? When the assembly was being fitted. That is a lot of metal. Rich.
