  1. Hi Bob, Welcome to the forum! Try to Google - Fleetwood American Eagle parts, might try to add the year to narrow down the list if needed. There are listings on e-bay and some other possible sights that come up. Rich
  2. shuflid, Welcome to the forum! You did not mention if it was a bedroom slide or some other location. Should it be the bedroom, best thought is under the bed or near the slide motor. There is a box that has some heavy gage cables running from it to the slide motor and the RV batteries. Manufactures often use the frame for the ground circuit. See if you can fallow the cables form the motor back to the box. The box could have 2 relays depending on who the supplier was. You could also have a low current wire issue-broken or loose connection in the circuit running between the control box and the slide In/ Out switch. Rich.
  3. This is the information I found regarding your fault codes. All are related to the DEF system. Hope it proves useful. Fault code information. FCCC plus other make chassis Code-1682--- DEF Dosing unit Priming Issues Code-3712--- Extended SCR issue, needs immediate attention Code-3714--- Torque De-rate, Critical Fault Code. Code-3574--- http://www.allworldauto.com/tsbs/NHTSA_9999_CUMMINS_CUMMINS_technical_service_bulletin_334991.html Code-4364--- Catalyst Reduction NOx conversion low. There are two different sub codes with different sub information. FMI-1 and FMI-18 Rich.
  4. Jim is correct! You might fine one of those telescopic magnets handy to find the screw heads! Rich.
  5. Marty, Think your coach is equipped with a gas generator so you might try a little starting fluid sprayed into the air filter to see if you get it to fire up or at least know you have spark. Rich.

    Dunlop Tires

They are a medium size truck tire, load range G. Steer tire tread, but would work for the drive tires. When you priced tires, did you price the RV series and or the XZE and other style Michelin's? Rich.
  7. ultraglide, Could you post the code(s) you are reading for the group? Rich.
  8. Marty, You did not mention when you ran the generator last. The fuel pump for the generator is part of the generator. What is the oil level in the generator? Herman did mention the possibility that the fuel level in the tank is below the pickup for the generator. Rich.
  9. ultraglide, this is a link to a pdf file covering your engine. http://cumminsengines.com/uploads/docs/4971107.pdf Cummins should cover any towing required for the first year you own the coach. The information is in the document. Check this link, is this the check engine information that is being displayed? http://www.mid-pac.com/documents/DPF_EN.pdf Rich.
  10. Could you post the make, model and year of you engine. Could you also post how much DEF you have used. I understand that changing out all the DEF because of some bad DEF kind of troughs thing off. and a crushed supply line is not a nominal problem. 2% DEF per fuel usage @ 6 to 8 MPG should put you in the ballpark regarding the amount of DEF you would need. This is a link to a calculator for DEF consumption, https://www.cumminsfiltration.com/html/en/products/fuel/diesel_emission/def_calculator.html Have no clue to your driving habits, but the DEF systems like to run hot. So slow stop and go traffic can cause issues with the system. School buses drivers in our area need to remember to run in the lower gears to maintain a higher temperature in the exhaust when stopping frequently. Rich.
  11. Good information ! I was not aware that one could print out a copy of the contract. The devil is in the details! Rich.
  12. Larry, Also check the ground connections. At times they do not get tightened properly when the coach is built. Found 2 connections on our coach after we had driven it for a few mouths. Rich.
  13. You might look at these links on FMCA forum http://community.fmca.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=stats&do=who&t=2486 There are members of the forum that use them and have posted some feedback. Rich.
  14. Fred, you did not post any bulb information, but you might look at https://www.1000bulbs.com/category/led-light-bulbs/ http://www.lightinthebox.com/c/led-lights_4001 Rich. This makes a good night time flag light. http://www.lightinthebox.com/4-led-outdoor-solar-power-spotlight-landscape-spot-light-garden-lawn-flood-lamp_p1466720.html
  15. Carl, Sprinkle some Borax around the coach rugs and other fabric areas where the ticks would hang out. It is acidic to many bugs and will not harm pets or people. Vacuum up when you return, got a feeling they will be very dead. Check this link, it does not mention tick's per say, but I really think it will work. http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2013/10/30-little-known-uses-for-household-borax.html Fleas and ticks. Had to look at a couple more sights ! http://www.boraxforfleas.com/ Rich.
  16. Chuck, After you check the burner tube is clear as Brett suggested. Make sure the ignition contacts are positioned properly! Just do me a favor and stand back from the water heater with the door open--When you have some one turn it on please. Depending on how the gas valve and ignition are working, there can be a sizable flash when the LP lights up !!!! Rich.
  17. charleighastone, Welcome to the FMCA Forum! I looked at the web sight you posted and did not see any information posted regarding there fee structure. Sean posted a fee of $70.00/month for unlimited data. Do you have any information on the band width rate they provide, both download and uploading data? This is some information that one could use to run a system test using Skype. They do not provide clear information on how they maintain data links at remote sights. For a lot of the the time they could contract with a cellphone provider, but when one is out of cell tower range; do they use satellite links. No clear information on there web site. Band pass test for your Provider. Quick Test Link. http://www.geeksquad.com/do-it-yourself/tools/test-your-broadband-speed.aspx If you are signed in to Skype but not making any calls, Skype will use on average 0-4kbps. When you make a call, Skype will use on average between 24-128kbps. You can find out how much bandwidth a video call is using. To find out if your internet connection is fast enough to make a Skype call (using Skype for Windows Desktop): Check this link for additional information. https://support.skype.com/en/faq/fa1417/how-much-bandwidth-does-skype-need Note ! For good Skype connection one needs 100 to 300 Kbps download and 100 to 512Kbps upload speeds. In the Contact list, select the contact you wish to call. In the conversation header, click the Check settings button. In the Connection tab, click Test Now Skype will test the internet connection between you and your contact and display the results. Audio calls should be possible with most internet connections. Video calls use a lot more bandwidth, so if you are having issues with the quality of your video calls, we recommend:Closing other applications that use the internet, especially those playing music or video. Cancelling any file transfers in progress. If this does not resolve your problem, you may need to increase your bandwidth. Contact your Internet Service Provider if you need more information regarding your download and upload speeds. Rich
  18. DD sounds like you have a waste gate setup on your turbo with fixed turbine blades, common on the earlier ISB, like the one on my Cummins. It does fall off some at about 10,000ft.,but we do not spend much time driving at that altitude. I do like the simplicity of the system though. The VGT style turbos are not affected by altitude. Rich.
  19. Good point Brett! This relates to, · Ambient conditions (temperature and barometric pressure. Barometric pressure is usually given as inches of mercury and can be converted to psi by dividing by 2) Rich.
  20. Jerry and Brett, when one tries to calculate boost, there are a number of variables. I tend to use the readings as a reference(on system health) and not what might be the true pressure at any given time at the intake manifold. The true pressure is important regarding what the engine is specked for in regards to maximum boost. This link is to information on what factors into boost and what one is reading on a gauge. https://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/sites/default/files/PDF/Turbo%20Tech%20103.pdf Rich.
  21. Herman ! This might be a good issue for House Calls and Gary B. looks like there is a number of different setups used by coach builders using tag axles Here is a link to an addendum published by Monaco for The Executive & Dynasty 2001. http://www.icbus.com/staticfiles/monaco/manualaddendums/2001/tag_axle.pdf This is a link to some information on the FMCA forum. Although it is not directly related to the OP question. http://community.fmca.com/topic/1924-weight-on-tag-axle/ Also some information hear. http://forums.trailerlife.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/26254515/print/true.cfm Mobile Weight Station link. Services. http://rvweigh.com/ourservices.html Good year tire pressure information for RV weight(s) http://www.goodyearrvtires.com/pdfs/tire-care-guide.pdf Tiffin RV Tag Axle information http://www.tiffinrvnetwork.com/crusingator/ABfyi/FYI-052.pdf Precision frame Tire and pressure information http://www.precisionframe.com/articles/TireSafetypart1.pdf Michelin Tire and Tag Axel information. https://www.michelinb2b.com/wps/b2bcontent/PDF/RV_Tires_Brochure.pdf Newell uses 25psi in there tag axles on most models and they do not lift them off the ground in many models, just go to 0 psi. Rich.
  22. What are the weight numbers for the four corners with the tag axle up and down for all four corners ? What are the axle load weight numbers from the coach chart? Rich.
  23. douugm38, Welcome to the FMCA Forum! Thanks for sharing your information with the group! It is the members willingness to share information that makes the forum work. I use a battery tray made for marine applications for the 31 group battery under the battery in our coach. Works great and keeps the acid draining out of one location, minimizes the damage to the battery support area. Rich.
  24. Ray, The thing with electronic equipment is it has a mind of its own at times. The fact that the control circuit that starts and stops the EQ sequence with a touch switch and a time delay circuit, means that it is controlled by a logic circuit and a timer. That is why one needs to hold the switch for apx. 5 seconds. Think the circuit could be affected by background noise, a faulty ground, noise on the DC power feed, a defective solder / cold solder joint or a Chip. You have cleaned all the battery connections now, so a check of all the ground points related to the remote might be in order. Thing is the control circuits for the RC are located inside the ME 2012. Keep an eye on the system and have it set up properly as mentioned by DD. A call to Magnum would be in order if you see this problem again. Might then also ask if they have any other instances involving battery EQ issues or other logic circuit issues related to intermittent problems on the main control board. Rich. Note! The RC unit could be at fault or the date cable / connector-contact(S) Should the issue recur disconnect the RC unit and keep a visual / meter on the battery(s). To see if the ME-2012 goes into EQ mode with out it connected.
  25. Thank You for your first post and information! Rich.
