  1. Have they been lubed lately? My manual says to lube them monthly or they might stick.
  2. I can't see many of us using this 'benefit.' Many Circle K's are in congested traffic areas, their stations are too tight for a MH, have to go inside to prepay....and a 20 gallon limit.
  3. Their "piece of mind rate" is the higher rate with a limited ability to cancel. We have stayed at CL several times over the years. Their rates get higher and the ability to cancel gets lower. In the past three years we have had a break down of five days and a year ago a break down of 21 days. Fortunately our reservations were with CGs that believed me when I called and told them of our delay, and did not hold us to, or require us to pay, for the reservations. I think we're about done with CL. This year's reservations are with a group rally.
  4. Yes, they offer road side assistance/towing, but that's separate and not included with a regular membership.
  5. Try changing your sun glasses. I had the same problem different type lenses fixed it.
  6. My pet peeve with CGs is that now some charge the full amount when you make the reservation. Plus, if you want to be able to cancel, at any time, there is a higher rate, other wise you can't cancel at all. I made a reservation at Catherine's Landing, a very nice CG in Hot Springs, AR, for mid October. My CC was charged the full amount, nearly $500, when I made the reservation. I recently made a trip out west in the toad and made several motel/hotel reservations. I could cancel all if I called 24 hours prior to the day of check in.
  7. An hour 15 is a bit too much enlightenment for me.
  8. jeannejimz, it would help us if you added the information on your MH in your signature, such as make, model, year, etc. That light on my MH has a master switch on the dash, plus an on/off switch on the side of the fixture...as noted above.
  9. Maybe $75 was the rally rate....what a deal!😁
  10. AC had a rally at The Ridge in May. Very nice park, but at $75 a bit steep, plus when coming south off I 40 you have to go through town.
  11. They are not engineered for all the bouncing when loaded with something heavy motoring down the road. As for carrying ladders, I have my 6' ladder secured to the ceiling of a pull through basement.
  12. I replaced both chassis and house batteries with what came as OEM....AGMs. At this point, to me, lithiums are not worth the cost or hassle of setting up a new charging system. I'm sure they'll be cheaper and easier to install in the years ahead.

    Toyo vs Michelin

Ditto, put Continentals on the front, Toyo dealer could not find them in the correct size.
  14. As noted above, absorption refers need to be level when parked to operate properly.
  15. I've recently heard there is a good site on Facebook called "Diesel Pushers For Sale
  16. The first thing to check is the seal around the engine access hole in the rear area of the coach. My engine access is a rectangle that is fully tiled, just like the floor, with insulation on the part that serves as the floor and around the edges on the engine side. It fits very snugly and I have no smoke, soot or odor coming from that area.
  17. I would go to a dealer and read the owner's manual of the year/make/model of what you want to tow.

    New tires

I will never have another set of Michelins on my MH....I got half of your 10 years WITH cracks. Replaced them with Continentals on the front and Toyos on the rear...tire dealer did not have Toyos that fit the front. Michelins are way over priced and over rated. I'd check Toyo, Sumitomo, Hankook, Yokohama, and others.
  19. Anybody considering Michelins should review the various RV forums and the comments on them regarding Michelins. They have a history of sidewall cracking requiring replacement way before other RV tires. Mine cracked at five and a half years and 30k. I replaced them with Continentals on the front and Toyos on the rear....my tire guy did not have Toyos that fit my front in stock. Michelin RV tires are over rated and way over priced.
  20. I'm not a big supporter of extended service contracts. The way I read your post, the 5 year warranty really covers 4 years on the coach and only 2 years on the chassis....the other years are covered by your new coach warranty. I also do not like the "you have to decide in 3 days" comment.
  21. We are on our second CRV, great tow vehicles. If it is advertised "with a tow package" that means it should include the base plate, tow bars and all the accessories. There is no such thing as a Honda ''tow package," they are towable when you drive them off the lot. I should add model years 2014 and earlier are towable, they changed the transmission, so none of the 2015 and newer models can be towed four down.
  22. We've had better luck with small independent diesel shops than with the big name places.
  23. Since that was his first and only post....he probably won't be back.
  24. The article did not mention keys. Many RVers I know leave the keys in the ignition. Some leave them there all the time. When they leave the coach, when camping, they lock the door....and leave the keys in the ignition.
