With the new refurbished unit, the difference in how everything works is like night and day. A good $120 invested. -
If you drive with a window open, the negative pressure from inside your coach will bring in exhaust. Ernie- posting from Weatherford- just north of Andy in Granbury

You may have an engine exhaust leak. Check the engine access in the bedroom. If the seams have discoloration, that is where your soot may becoming from.

To do that- removing the whole business is not necessary. Probably the reason for curl, is that it was never rolled after installation. Thus dirt has migrated under the edge of that tile. I would do this procedure: have at the ready: hair dryer, vacuum cleaner with crevice tool, flat blade screw driver, some contact cement, and small artist brush- that you can throw away. With the hair dryer- heat the tile till you can pry it up with screwdriver. Vacuum under that. Apply contact cement to tile and floor. Let it dry. You can use the hair dryer on low. Touch the tile- if no contact transfers to your finger you are ready to install. Heat the tile on high so that the curl that incurred when you pried it will slowly fall down and with the flat blade screw driver, press the edges down. put some weight on it and leave it till it cools. enjoy

I believe those planks will work, as they are usually 3 feet in length and will cover the whole tracking length of slide.
-
You don't have to remove any slideouts when redoing the floors. That is just a big cash cow for the dealer. I know, I install floors in these coaches all the time. Instead of using those high priced slide slickers, go to a regular retail flooring store and get 4 pieces of luxury vinyl planks. Principal is the same- and you don't have to spend a bundle.

since this is in west Texas- its' all level-flat!

I'm 70 feet in length. I hope your roads are concrete and not caliche. My son is manager of Furgesons on Florida st in Midland. If you build it, we will come.
